Kid-friendly holiday rentals in South London

We had a wonderful stay with Karen and Nick. Everything was exactly as shown in the photos and described on Airbnb. They were incredibly friendly and empathetic hosts. We slept like we were in the clouds – the bed was soft and cosy. The bathroom was spacious and modern, with fresh towels provided every other day. Our room was cleaned regularly, with fresh water, coffee, and milk replenished daily. We can wholeheartedly recommend Karen and Nick’s accommodation to anyone. Hope to see you again soon!

Lovely place in South London! Andrew and Reggie were really helpful with all their information about location, bus stops etc. and they answered really quickly to our questions during our stay.

Great place! Clean home and Anamaria was very hospitable. The neighborhood is really nice and diverse. The Herne Hill transit station is a short walk away, taking you straight to Victoria where you can then transfer to other lines. Bus stops are in super close distance too. Loved the retail stores and restaurants in the area.

Great location. Nice walk to the train station. Close to Lewisham. Easy to park outside Hilary’s house Hilary is very lovely, helpful and friendly. Felt at home in her cosy house. Highly recommend her and will stay there again in the future.

Carol’s lovely home is bright and airy. Shared bathroom is pristine, and I only saw one other person use it once. It was practically “mine”. As a solo female traveller, the very safe neighborhood (even late at night) and the leisurely 2 min walk to the train were a plus. Everyone on Airbnb SAYS they are a 2-min walk to everything, but Carol’s home literally is. Grocery, pubs, cafes, fine dining, and a lovely waterfront walkway in town, provide anything you might need. Carol herself is warm and friendly. Very responsive and helpful. Just a lovely human. 🙂 Note: The 30-min train ride into central London is not the tube. It’s a very comfortable, air conditioned “suburban line”. No transfers. Just walk the two mins, relax for 30, and you’re at Waterloo station, from which you can get anywhere. Can’t say enough good things. Be sure to check out the “French” cafe Feathers and Heart. Great food and service. *Gorgeous* garden with several shaded seating areas, and it is y ruly quiet.

Excellent place to stay! Mine was just a short stay but the place and Hanna are great! Absolutely book if you need a place in London!

We loved our stay with Annie, Andrew and Stanley and would love to come back. The house has been lovingly restored and is beautifully decorated and furnished. We so enjoyed the delicious made to order breakfasts every morning that kept us going until dinner time. Stanley greeted us whenever we came and went and was a welcome surrogate for our own pup at home. The location is perfect - a short walk from the tube station and immediately across the street from beautiful Bishop’s Park. We truly can’t say enough about the Egmont Lodge and the warm welcome we received. Thank you so much Annie and Andrew.

We had a great stay at Emilia’s home in Greenwich. The location is excellent - close to everything and easy to get around. Just a heads-up: it's situated on the path of the London Fire Brigade, so you might hear sirens at night. Earplugs are a good idea if you're a light sleeper. That said, the apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and great value for money. Emilia was a thoughtful and responsive host. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely apartment in a beautiful location. Everything you need in the apartment with thoughtful touches to make life a little easier! A great little balcony with big bifold doors which was heavenly in the hot weather.

Had a lovely time at Marcela's place, it was close to lots of things but also incredibly peaceful for some nice R&R!

Staying at Richard’s home was a delight! The neighborhood was quiet and cute with a Sainbury’s Local just a 3 minute walk away. It was easy to catch the bus (2 minutes away) and a 20 minute walk to the tube. Richard was specific in his directions for getting in and out of the flat and his home is so beautiful and clean. I felt right at home. This is the perfect place for anyone who is comfortable riding public transit or has a car. Richard could not have been more accommodating or kind. I would definitely stay there again!

Very comfortable for three. A big bedroom, a 65 square foot bathroom!!!, and a large living room with kitchen. Sofa bed for two in the living room. Water pressure in bathroom very good. Refrigerator, washing machine, dishwasher provided, with Disney, Netflix and Amazon Prime already available on smart TV. The flat is 10 minutes walking distance to two bus stops offering different lines, and probably 15 minutes to Angel station. There are excellent cafes and restaurants within a 15 minute walk. There is a breakfast place 100 metres away with good service and great food. A mini market is about 150 metres away. Sainsbury’s and Coop are under a 15 minute walk. A large curved monitor, mouse and connections are all available in the work area. Plug in your laptop and you are all set. Michael responded very quickly to all questions. Excellent place in an excellent location, supported by a very good host. This is definitely the first place we will select when we are in London!

Gorgeous apartment with a ton of room in a beautiful neighborhood. I loved sitting out on the terrace and looking across the gardens during the morning and evenings. I would highly recommend, and I hope to come back someday!

Notting Hill Glow was exactly as described. On a busy street, but wooden bedroom doors filter almost all of the nighttime noise. Not having air conditioning was not an issue for us as daytime highs were under 80 degrees and nighttime was cooler, but I can imagine it could be uncomfortable if temperatures reached the 90s. We were able to walk to several great restaurants and pubs. Comfortable bed.

A lovely stay for two. Short walk to the station (max 15min), and around 30min to central London. Easy check-in and good location. The fridge already had a large bottle of water and milk ready for coffee or tea. Clean place overall with a great view. The host was responsive and helpful. Would come back again!

First of all, Billie and Max are excellent hosts who communicate very well, respond quickly to questions, and are extremely helpful. Thank you for all the support you provided throughout the entire process. The apartment’s location is fantastic—very close to two different tube stations. What I loved most was its proximity to Hyde Park. If you enjoy walking, you can easily add a short stroll through the park to your daily routine :) It’s situated in a very peaceful and quiet area, yet still close to lovely cafés and restaurants. In this neighborhood, you don’t feel like a tourist but more like a local, truly immersing yourself in the spirit of the city. I’m already looking forward to staying in this apartment again. Thank you for everything✌🏻

Had a lovely stay at Luke's place - just a short walk from the station. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and had everything I needed. Highly recommend!

Great stay - public transportation is within a 10-15 minute walk tops, and the area has a ton of great restaurants. It was nice to return to after a busy day. The flat was very clean and Zoltan really thought of all of the small details from a hairdryer to laundry soap, and even had a welcome basket for us with snacks and wine! Definitely recommend staying here.

Stephen is a great host ! Very responsive in his communication and really goes out of his way to ensure you have a comfortable stay. Location of property is great with great transport links and his place is spotless ! Definitely will recommend to anyone looking within that area.

I was absolutely delighted with Claire’s apartment! It’s beautifully furnished with so much love and attention to even the tiniest details — everything is thoughtfully chosen and incredibly tasteful. It’s the kind of place where even the most particular guests would feel completely at home. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and full of character. I truly felt like I was staying in a little gem tucked away in the heart of Chelsea. If I ever move to London, this is exactly the kind of home I’d dream of living in. Priya, Shaun and Nanouck were wonderful, we felt like in our own home, their place is gorgeous with everything you need for a short or long term stay, no disappointed in any manner, the bus stop and the metro station to get to all the highlights on London within minutes walking distance. They are super friendly and give you great tips to visit the non touristic points of London so you can feel like a local, definitely will recommend them to other guests and we will love to come back someday to Shaun and Priya's place.
