Here, you can still enjoy the wonderful tranquility and beauty of the historic village of Giethoorn. Unfortunately not suitable for infants/children from 0 to 8.

Gasthuis Het Monument is located on the first floor in the coach house of our National Monument. It is located in the center of Vestingstad Steenwijk, a stone's throw from the Markt. There is a small terrace with a seating area. Bicycles can also be stored here. In the immediate vicinity, there are shops and restaurants. In the beautiful surroundings, there are many places to visit. Giethoorn, fortified town Steenwijk and the Havelterheide. Furthermore, there are three national parks nearby, NP Weerribben Wieden, the Drents Friese Wold and the Dwingelderveld.

You are welcome in the lodging of the country house 'Oosterhoek' anno 1872. This is in the middle of the countryside just past the village of Tuk. Bordering the forest area 'de Woldberg' and estate 'de Eese'. Within cycling distance you will find the city of Steenwijk, National Park 'de Weerribben' and picturesque Giethoorn. And in winter you can easily reach Thialf Heerenveen Ice Stadium within 20 minutes by car.
