Beach house holiday rentals in Surf City

Would definitely stay here again! The location exceeded our expectations- just steps from the beach, we didn’t even need shoes! The views from our balcony were also amazing. Very spacious inside, with more than enough beds for our family of four.

One of the best Airbnb’s I have stayed at. The close proximity to the beach and having a pool at the house was very ideal for our large group. The communication with Mike and Makeba was top notch!

Perfect location. Everything was clean and it was well-stocked. Check-out instructions were extremely minimal, it was nice to not feel like we had to spend hours leaving like some other places. It is right next to a public beach access, so there was a lot of foot traffic, but the people moved on quickly and settled further down the beach. I wish there were screens in the windows so that we could have opened them, but the sliding door does have a screen which was nice. The owner was very responsive and friendly. We really enjoyed ourselves!

We had a wonderful stay at this beachfront home in Surf City! You truly can’t beat the location — just steps from the beach with direct access right off the back deck. Waking up to the sound of the waves and watching the sunrise was a highlight each morning. The house was comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing beach vacation. Plenty of space for the family, and easy access to town for restaurants and shops. Communication with the host was excellent — responsive and helpful throughout.

The view of the ocean was absolutely stunning—truly the kind of view you could stare at for hours. The deck was perfect for morning coffee, sunset watching, and everything in between. Inside, the place was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully put together to make us feel right at home. Emily was a fantastic host—responsive, kind, and quick to address any issues that came up. She genuinely cared about our comfort and even went above and beyond to compensate us for a minor inconvenience, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful escape with top-notch hospitality!

We loved our stay at Bird Lane! It was clean, beautifully decorated, and matched the description perfectly. We easily walked to a restaurant and bar and the beach walk is less than 5 min. Our host communicated so well, addressed a couple questions instantly, and let us know with plenty of notice about a service visit to allow us to plan accordingly. Bonus points for the nugget ice maker!! Book now, you won’t regret it!

A perfect little spot for a couple! Incredibly easy walk to the beach and cute restaurants/shops. The beach access right across from the unit wasn't overly crowded and made for relaxing and peaceful beach days.

5 star home! This was great for our entire family vacation. We had grandparents and newborns and every age in between. This house was beautiful, clean, and literally ON the beach. We’ve already made plans to come back. The hosts were incredibly responsive. They took care of ever need we had.

Just got home from our stay at Liquid State and WOW - we have found our favorite beach house in Surf City!! - The home is beautiful, comfortable and equipped with everything you need…and more. - The backyard is an oasis with amazing pool, hot tub and grass for your pup. - The location is perfect - on a quiet street, but only a few minutes walk to the beach, sound and a few min drive to a ton of great restaurants/shops. - Bridget was an incredible host and clearly has a passion for hospitality! If you are considering this home, stop hesitating and book it!!!

Gena's place was wonderful. The hot tub was amazing and very private; we loved the layout. The surrounding area was picturesque, with beautiful views all around and wonderful for children. The home was very functional and accommodating. Gena is very responsive and quick to take steps in addressing any concerns. We would certainly stay here again.

Darlene was a fantastic host! She communicated quickly when I had any questions. Her house was probably one of the best stocked AirBnBs that we've stayed at. The pool was so private, I knew we had neighbors, but could not see them. The house was perfect for our family! We loved Carolina Beach!

I stayed for a little over a week and it was absolutely phenomenal! Walkable, in my opinion, to everything CB has to offer though would be a farther walk to some. The accommodations were spacious and perfect for what we needed. The outdoor space / pool was awesome, spent a lot of time reading / working out there enjoying the sun. Would definitely stay again for a long visit!

AMAZING! Hands down, this was the best beach rental experience we've ever had and we've had some great rentals over the years. It was INCREDIBLY CLEAN. (We rented in early summer.) The house had everything we thought we needed and other ammenities we didn't even know we would want until we were there. The house was very well maintained. Pantry/cabinet areas were labeled and perfectly organized. The beds were pristine and comfortable. The location was perfect; it was just under a mile to the pier with many restaurants and shops in-between which was easily walkable (beach or road) with kids. We walked to shops and restaurants nearly every day. Obviously the proximity to the beach is great but it was a nice surprise that the houses in that area are spaced in such a way that the beach was not crowded even when neighboring blocks were. Our host was proactive, responsive, warm, and accommodating. Check-in/out were hassle-free. Thank you!!

Great place - wonderful beachfront with no crowds! 8 adults stayed very comfortably; plenty of space and appreciated the extra half bath off the front hall. Everything was clean and plenty of supplies even beach towels, boogie boards and spare beach chairs. Great AC and heat one night when it was cold worked well too. Easy parking for 4 mid size SUV’s. Denise was a wonderful host always responded so quickly and gave us recommendations!

Great location- Beach was one block across the street. Place was clean, but we did have 2 coackroaches show up. This happens at the beach in my experience. We arrived with only a half roll of toilet paper. We asked for more toilet paper but was told that we only get "One Starter Roll" of toilet paper. Bring your own toilet paper and extra towels. Microwave was damaged and needs fixing. One end cabinet on the kitchen island is also completely torn off . We also asked for a late check out a day in advance, but was denied and told that the cleaning staff could not accommodate any adjustments to their schedule. Not a big deal as the location was wonderful. Danny was very responsive.

The house was beautiful and clean. They had just about everything you could need on a vacation. View was great. We were 2 blocks from the water. My family and I had a great time.

The place was just as described and was perfect for our family beach getaway. The walk to the beach isn’t far, making it easy to spend as much or as little time at the beach as we wanted. The house is clean and nicely decorated. Jessie was very responsive with any questions. We would recommend and would book again.

Peaceful Beach Getaway in Carolina Beach I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Carolina Beach. The location was absolutely perfect—just a short walk from the beach, but tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. It was the ideal spot to unwind and disconnect. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere—it made for a relaxing escape from the busyness of daily life. If you’re looking for a calm, coastal retreat with a great location, I highly recommend this place. I’d definitely love to come back again!

We loved our stay at Marsh Mellow cottage! We were basically a block from the beach and the cottage is so charming! We loved all the little touches and amenities. We were huge fans of the downstairs area for playing games and hanging outside but the sunsets were a group fave from the top deck!!

Absolutely loved our stay at Callie’s Harbor on Topsail Island! It truly felt like a home away from home. The house had everything we needed and more—from a fully stocked kitchen to beach equipment, games, and books. The amenities were top-notch, and we especially appreciated the outdoor shower after long days at the beach. The location was perfect—peaceful, convenient, and just a short walk to the ocean. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and make memories. And a huge thank you to our host, Conally, who was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the entire process. You can tell a lot of care goes into this home, and it made all the difference. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!
