Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Syracuse

Highly recommended, If you like space, freedom, a friendly host and privacy. This was the perfect base for us to then visit the beautiful beaches and discover the area. Less than 10/12 min from the beach and return to a detached house with great views. We stayed here in mid-June. In terms of temperature, it was just possible to do this at night. We as Dutch people might have found it too hot in August. All in all a great place that is worth more than your money. 10/10!

I highly recommend this apartment in the heart of Ortigia, a stone's throw from the market and the island's main tourist attractions. The ancient theater and archaeological area are slightly further away, but still within walking distance. In the surrounding area, you can find popular restaurants of remarkable quality. The neighborhood is entirely pedestrian, being an ancient Arab medina. The apartment is modern and functional, very cool and airy, with a large terrace without vis-à-vis. Wi-Fi works perfectly, it is a very convenient base for exploring the city. The host is extremely responsive, reachable on WhatsApp and on the platform, for any urgent or non-urgent need.

Lovely, friendly hosts who are very helpful and do their best to accommodate your needs and made everything so easy. The property is great value for money. The property was clean and felt like a home away from home. The kitchen is great has everything you need to cook meals, washing machine room also next to the kitchen which is great. The property is 20 minutes drive from loads of great beaches. Lovely outdoor area to eat and relax. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful location in beautiful Ortigia! Felt very safe, surrounded by lots of nice cafes and restaurants, 2 min walk to the most amazing views of the water. Super easy check-in and check-out which is great in case of any travel delays from Catania airport. Everything was clean and tidy and Marco is very responsive. There’s a bit of noise from the sidewalk at certain hours because it’s on the ground floor and looks out onto the street, but closing the windows muffles it pretty well. Highly recommend!

The place is exactly what we were looking for. Quietness and peacefulness surrounded by Sicilian olive trees. The pool was great, the facilities were spot on and the bathroom and bed very comfortable. Also, the airco worked and pool filter worked perfectly. Last but not least, the recommendations Emanuela gave us were outstanding!

Book with your eyes closed 👍We just spent 3 nights from 16 to 19 /10/2024, in Casa di Mauro , which totally matches the photos and descriptions. Ideally located near the temple of Apollo , we were quiet in this charming ultra clean, functional accommodation, equipped with everything that makes a place comfortable and above all tastefully decorated. The bedding is ultra comfortable . In addition , we enjoyed the warm welcome from our host, Maria . Thank you for his listening, his pro activity, his responsiveness and all his attention that brings the little more magical in the rental... water bottles and toilet products. Thank you also for his good tips and for the great places for lunch and dinner. All the ingredients were there to fully enjoy our stay in Syracuse in the heart of Ortigia and we felt in the accommodation very comfortable as home.…the experience delighted us and we will come back . Had an excellent weekend. Lovely food and very friendly people. Easy to get to from airport (by bus €6.20) short walk a few stairs some of which are very narrow in the studio. All very clean. The only slight problem were the sheets which didn’t stay on the bed. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

Beautiful apartment in the center of Avola, very hospitable and very clean. Equipped with a large terrace where you can have breakfast in the open air and enjoy the silence of the evening. A stone's throw from the center, you can reach numerous places and monuments on foot. The host, very kind, welcomed us and accompanied us to the checkout in an impeccable and professional manner. We had a lovely week in this charming property. The location is uniquely peaceful and unlike anywhere else we have stayed. The house is traditional in style and the pool was fantastic. Our 2 children loved roaming around the orchard and adored feeding the animals and collecting eggs from the hens. Gioacchino is a great host and very welcoming, he was on hand for any assistance but also very discreet at maintaining the large grounds whilst respecting guests privacy. We loved hearing all about the fruit and vegetables produced at the property. The shop just up the road is well stocked and has good quality items. A wonderful place to stay in this area of Sicily, we hope to return!

Silvia was an excellent host, always responsive and very helpful. We were able to find the villa with her instructions and she was there to greet us and say goodbye when we left. The villa was spotless and we loved the outdoor space with all its different seating areas and bbq. The house was well equipped with thoughtful touches. There were lots of little extras for our stay including clean towels, jams, treats and Prosecco. A great base for exploring Sicily’s south east. Highly recommend this stay.

We had a great time. Good location for visiting the area. The pool and outdoor shower are real assets. The equipment in the house is functional. Antonino has always been very responsive to our requests. She is a lovely and considerate person. I would recommend this rental.

We had a wonderful few days at Sofia’s. The pool and surrounding area were perfect for relaxing, with plenty of seating spots to unwind. We really appreciated the outdoor space which offered a great area to eat and chill. The grounds were lovely, and we enjoyed the company of the cute & friendly dogs. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and Sofia was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great local recommendations. Sofia’s is just a 10-minute walk to a nearby beach and a short 5-minute drive to other beaches and supermarkets. We would definitely recommend!

Giuseppe’s villa is beautiful, tastefully decorated and very spacious. The variety of outdoor seating areas were lovely for enjoying the sun at different periods of the day. The pool was superb, beautiful and clean. The villa is 10 minutes drive from Syracuse and Ortigia, which have a huge variety of delicious restaurants and bars. The streets are beautiful to explore, especially in the evenings. The only downside to the villa was the area. Unfortunately, there are no pavements so walking anywhere is unsafe. Therefore, hiring a car is necessary. There is a bus, but it only passes 4 x daily. There are local restaurants to visit, but driving is required due to the roads, and at our time of visiting it was unclear whether these were open or not. Despite this, I would happily visit Giuseppe’s villa again without a doubt. Thank you for having us.

A lovely, contemporary, comfortable home with great showers and comfortable beds. Our only issue was the distance from Noto, on a challenging road, which was much further than expected. Carlo and Stella went out of their way to respond to our needs.

We had a wonderful 4 day stay at Alessandro’s house with the beautiful garden and amazing views… our 4year old son loved the pool, the playground and- after some time- the big dog ;-) we would love to come back to this great host

A Memorable Family Stay ! We had a fantastic family holiday at Ville Vacanze Cavaliere d’Italia near Noto— 4 adults (parents and sons) ideal for relaxation and exploration. The setting was stunning, surrounded by Sicilian scenery, with a modern, comfortable house and a highlight: the pool with sea views. The location was perfect for discovering baroque towns, markets, and coastal routes. Our Airbnb host Ivan and local contact Dino were exceptional—friendly, helpful, and attentive, always ready to help with tips or support when needed. A thoughtful welcome package with local products added a warm touch. We highly recommend this place for a perfect mix of comfort, culture, and nature in beautiful Sicily. David and Family

What a gem!! Francesco’s and Marilena’s apartment is simply amazing. It is well equipped, has everything needed (and more), such a cosy place. We felt home the second we moved in there. Delicious restaurants are in walking distance, also there’s enough street parkings close by, if you have a rental car. Within short drives you can reach various beaches/other towns. We also appreciated the restaurant/beach/visit recommendations by the hosts. We’ll definitely recommend this place to everyone, it’s the perfect place to explore Noto and the surrounding area.

This was hands down one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had! The host was incredibly responsive — quick to answer any questions and always just a message away with helpful tips and recommendations. The check-in process was seamless, and the space was exactly as described: clean, cozy, and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay in this lovely apartment in a quiet part of Ortigia. It was just a short walk from everything, making it easy to explore and pop back when needed. The terrace was perfect for enjoying the afternoon sun. The apartment itself was clean, stylish, and very comfortable. Lino was an exceptional host—he went above and beyond helping with transportation from Catania and offering great restaurant recommendations. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

Andrea made us feel so at home. Not only did he greet us upon arrival, but he also had stocked the kitchen with some speciality food items and wine. He was incredibly responsive and provided us many wonderful local recommendations. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Great value for money. The accommodation was spacious and very well located, both close to the historic center, but not too close to feel a real neighborhood life and not feel like being with all the tourists. We were able to easily access many activities on foot. The small guide in the accommodation, with many suggestions for restaurants, cafes and activities was very useful. We particularly enjoyed the neighborhood cafe where we had all our breakfasts (with a discount for staying with our host). Finally, Valeria was available by message, as well as extremely responsive, to give us a lot of advice. Thank you for introducing us to Syracuse!
