Family-friendly holiday rentals in Thunderbolt

This was the perfect stay for me, my husband, and our 1 year old! I can’t say enough wonderful things about it! It is decorated beautifully, was extremely clean, had easy access to the beach, and was perfectly located on the island close to Kroger (5 minutes away, if that), awesome restaurants, and plenty of bike paths. The kitchen is fully stocked and we were able to cook a meal very easily with what was there. The resort has several pools indoor and outdoor as well as a kiddie pool that was a hit with our toddler. The beach is a beautiful 10 minute walk along a boardwalk overlooking the marshes - just bring some comfy sandals as you walk to the beach and it’s totally fine. :-) We had the best time! This is our 3rd time visiting HHI and this was hands down the best rental we’ve used. We will be back for sure!

Our stay was only a short weekend for a wedding. We did not get to enjoy the pool or beach. No issues with stay except the back half of the villa was much warmer than the front half. The bunk room with 3 adult children had 3 tower fans and they said the night was okay. Father In law was happy being warmer since he’s always cold. Overall it was a great location close to rehearsal dinner and wedding venue.

We had a wonderful visit. The was a small issue with the toilet when we arrived, and even though it was a Sunday followed by a holiday, she managed to take care of the issue quickly and with very little inconvenience on our part. We would recommend Gloria and this property

This stay was in the perfect place. Close enough to the beach to walk, and also access to other amenities on the grounds. A lot of places to go around the stay. Very comfortable in general.

Really cute apartment with great amenities, conveniently located next to a connected Hilton Hotel so we my friends and I were able to take advantage of a few hotel perks ;) The hot tub and pool area were really nice too! Overall booking was made easy and the host was very responsive and helpful!

This is an older building but the unit was clean and matched the photos. We were very happy with our stay. The hosts provided a beach wagon along with chairs which was very convenient. The beach is a 1/2 mile walk along a scenic boardwalk & very easy. There is a little beach bar at the end serving drinks that you can take to the beach. The building rents bikes at the property for $35 which is very convenient. We didn’t use the pool but it was clean & would have been sufficient. Parking was easy, the elevators worked fine & the property was easily accessible by car. The hosts were responsive & friendly.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Jacquelyn’s space. The interior layout is open and bright. The kitchen is beautiful. The backyard has so much charm with a few fruit trees. Our kids loved this place and they felt right at home. The location is very convenient. We walked to everything. We had a great time!

Andrew was a great host!! When we arrived he let us check in early and the AC in the upstairs part of the unit had broken, and he was on top of it! He made sure that he had a professional and experienced HVAC man on the scene within a couple hours! They fixed the issue quickly! Host was very responsive and communicated properly with us! While the HVAC was being serviced he sat with us and told us some history on the property and messaged us a list of food places. Overall one of the best experiences! Everything was perfect! I would stay at the Jones carriage house again!

We loved our stay at Marina's beach hut. We walked to the beach morning and evening and views on the beach were beautiful. Everyone was so friendly. Had plenty of space for our family to either be together or spread out in the house space. House was well stocked with beach and home supplies. Loved having space for our car in the garage. Master bath shower was luxurious! Neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. Loved the keyless entry system!

With us and children’s families we had plenty of room and things to do right on the property for 6 adults and 5 grandchildren from 2 to 10 years old! We had a blast: plenty of beds, bathrooms, big kitchen and den, indoor swimming pool, game room, hot tub, fire pit, short street for bikes, garage. On raining periods or at night the house was great for eating, play and family time! We got the golf cart and biked minutes from Folly Field beach and also to Island beach which were great beaches. Biking on the beaches and the innumerable wonderful trails throughout Hilton Head is amazing for those who take advantage of it. Besides the beach adventures we also took advantage of the horseback riding at Lawton Stables and the Pirates of Hilton Head kids pirate ship adventure at Harbor Town which was something the kids and adults will not forget. We ate most of the time in our great kitchen but some did get to enjoy two fabulous seafood restaurants. Hilton Head is a beautiful island!

The Jones St House was beautiful, peaceful and so enjoyable. There were 5 of us -High School girl friends for over 60 years😊traveling together to have a great time in Savannah and the house was perfect! We walked all over the city Ate in great restaurants And we recommend The Pink House , Hop On Hop Off Trolley Great Bars and Forthsy Park Powell Thank you

I loved this place. It combined convenience - so close to the beach and other HH activities - and seclusion. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated with every amenity needed and I loved the screened porch. Suzanne was communicative and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay! The home was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The location was perfect—quiet, yet close to everything we needed. What truly made the experience exceptional were the hosts. They were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Communication was easy and prompt, and they offered great local tips too. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Airbnb experience. We just finished our stay at Chase's Oyster Cottage, and I’m already planning to go back! We fell in love with the cottage's charm, filled with delightful Daufuskie details, such as Chase's stunning artwork and Sallie Ann's cookbook. We took the ferry from Savannah with Willie @ Bull River Marina. With a total of five travelers, we arranged for an additional four-seater golf cart from Mungeon Retreat. This was our first trip to Daufuskie Island, and it truly surpassed all our expectations. The island boasts a rich history that you won’t find in any textbook, and the locals are enthusiastic about sharing their stories. We enjoyed visiting the local coffee shop, School Grounds run by Brian and Pam. We returned multiple times to listen to more stories. One time, when Pam ran out of baked goods, she generously made us fresh blueberry scones and personally delivered them to the cottage. This is the kind of warm Daufuskie hospitality that enchants visitors!

We had a great stay. This is a well established community with quick and easy access to all of the areas attractions. Very quiet. Never heard any noises or neighbors. Plenty of space and the backyard and pool are so well designed and installed. Heated pool came in handy as we had some cool weather a few days. Kitchen appliances and laundry equipment are new. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Everything from check-in to check-out was amazing. The house was clean and free of clutter, the coffee maker was easy to use, the kitchen amenities were as advertised. The home was welcoming and cool upon arrival and it was easy to get into the home. The instructions were clear and the book provided was an amazing help. Nothing went awry in the home and we will be booking again. The host was responsive and always willing to help. She afforded us to check-in earlier and we were blown away. The bedrooms were beautiful and the home was very aesthetically pleasing. The neighborhood was beautiful and it was close to a grocery store and our event destination. Again it was an overall amazing experience and when we visit again we hope to book you again. Thank you all for everything.

While we only had the pleasure of staying here for one night, we would absolutely return for longer! Jaime and Marie’s place was absolutely adorable. It looked just like the pictures, had all the things you and your family could need for a beach trip, and had the most comfortable beds! The decor was picture perfect and looked brand new. Jaime and Marie were extremely responsive to all my questions and were very kind. I had a billing concern early on and they were quick to help problem solve it for me. Hilton Head is our favorite place and we come every year. We are thankful to have found a new spot we can add to our list for places to stay. Great location, peaceful, and a real hidden gem. Thank you for having us!

Our stay was great and as expected! It's a cheap option to stay on Hilton Head right by the beach with the option to use the pool as well.

Was great to get out of our Michigan winter and enjoy the South Carolina sunshine. The condo was very clean and well appointed. Easy walk to the beach. Very enjoyable experience!

Super place. Spacious, clean, steps from the bike path and about 1/4 mile from beach.

We could not have asked for a better host, excellent place to stay and so close to the beach. Paul had everything we needed for our stay, including all the equipment to enjoy our time on the beach. We will definitely be back.
