Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Tōkai Region

a wonderful stay at takayama. the host came to pick us up at the train station and was already waiting for us when we arrived even though we arrived earlier than expected. once we arrived at the airbnb, he gave us a brief introduction to the town and gave us recommendations, which i found very helpful. for the airbnb itself, its location right in the middle of town made for easy access to the morning markets and other shops. the house was comfortable and spacious, though the staircase was slightly steep. otherwise the amenities were well stocked and the host was very responsive. would definitely recommend.

Location was great! We used it for our university graduation trip.The room was also moderately spacious, and we had a pleasant time even if we used it for 10 people without any inconvenience.I especially liked the sauna, and everyone is very satisfied. I thought it would be nice to be able to use it for a longer period next time!

Two families stayed. It was an immediate decision because it was an inn with a sauna and a hot spring. Located in a quiet villa area, The road is located in a villa area with narrow roads, so you will not feel the inconvenience of the car. The host was also able to respond to inquiries immediately, and the inn manual that we had received in advance had a polite explanation with photos, so we had no problems. Here are some of my worries. The light switch in the washroom was the same color as the wall, making it difficult to find.In addition, the lighting for the sauna's water bath was in the entrance, and it took a while to find it. I thought it would be nice to have a few more types of dishes. There are two refrigerators, but one is inside the door and it was difficult to see. It took a while to ignite because the firewood was tightly packed. However, even with the above, I am very satisfied! The dryer is a Kan-Tan-Kun, the sauna is hot, the futon has a mattress, the projector speakers are high-quality, there are plenty of amenities and towels, it's quiet and has good access, there's nothing to say!I would like to revisit just for this reason! We had a relaxing time and enjoyed this lovely home. We stayed for 5 days in May 2025. We arrived super early and was allowed to drop off our bags before check-in which we appreciated a lot because we had huge luggages that would not have fit in the lockers at the train station. We wanted to experience a traditional Japanese home with an onsen and be a bit away from city center. It was a residential area and was a 5 minute walk to Fushimi Inari Shrine. The home is lovely, comfortable and clean. The massage chair was a big bonus and helped us relax every night. Owner was very responsive. I asked for additional towels and received them the next day. Would come back again.

We absolutely loved staying at Tabitabi. Peaceful surroundings, beautiful interiors with a blend of modern and traditional Japanese and just all round a beautiful space. The host was very responsive and friendly. It was a nice way to end our trip.

Aya’s place is a no brainer if you are staying in Toyama. Very stylish place and you get exactly what you see. Amazing indoor decoration and peaceful neighborhood. Only 25 min drive to Tateyama station if you are going the next day. Highly recommended!

Lovely stay in Ieno house. Really beautiful and homely and the outdoor tub/ onsen was lovely. Area wise it’s nice and quiet with cafes as you walk around. Theres a bus stop about 7minutes walk and a subway maybe 8 minutes walk so it’s nicely connected. The bedding was comfortable as well. We found lots of plant based breakfast places around the area too. Honestly love Kyoto and this place as a base was a perfect balance for us.

We stayed at Takeshi’s place for 6 days during our first visit to Kyoto and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The house was lovely and very clean, had a great kitchen, and we really enjoyed the outdoor garden and shower/bath. Takeshi was a very kind and responsive host and sent a great list of recommendations for the area. The neighborhood was quiet but close to transportation. The stairs are steep so keep that in mind if you have small children, but for 4 adults it was no issue at all. I highly recommend staying here during a visit to Kyoto!

We stayed at Shi's place as a group of 7 and absolutely loved it! It was a beautiful space and we loved the Japanese style architecture - it truly enhanced our Kyoto experience. A highlight of the space was the common living room area as well as the small bar. It made for a great space to have a night in with friends.

Great experience. The house was clean, tidy, pretty, and relatively spacious. Can look right at the Fuji from home. Not very far from the bus station, and there are supermarkets and other restaurants within a 3 minutes walk (the host introduced them to us on the first day; she was very nice!)

The grounds were very spacious, and there were many play equipment for small children to play, which was very good. We also got to meet wild deer! The room was also very clean, spacious, and full of openness. It was unfortunate that it rained on the first day, but I enjoyed it even in the room, and the next day it was sunny, so I was able to play as much as I could outside. There are also many bedrooms and can accommodate large groups, so I'd love to stay again if I get the chance.

Everything you need to live as you would in your home are there. Importantly, the place was clean. The host thoughtfully provided a bottle of water, green tea, coffee/tea, rice crackers, ..., to start the stay! Will book again if in the area or if she had other properties.

This is a beautiful place. Meticulous and cultural. The interior design offers a visual treat and a relaxing atmosphere. We had a wonderful time.

We had a relaxing stay in a very beautiful inn. There was a small child, but they were looking at the children when carrying their luggage, and warm hospitality, such as suggesting a place to make a bed that was considerate of children.Thank you very much.I didn't use it this time, but I can also have a BBQ on the terrace, so I'd love to stay again when it gets warm!

Well-equipped, quiet surroundings, lots of deer in the forest, great views of Mt. Fuji.

This place is amazing, especially after a few days in bustling Tokyo. It felt a little too secluded at first, until we could figure out taxi service. We spent a lot of time in the onset, which was magical, only went out once to the open air museum/to pick up food. We were away a little too long: it’s a great place to rest and read and chill. Good to take a break from eating out as much as well. It could be cleaner in spots but the deck, the hot springs and views are worth it.

I used it as a group of 8 people, but it is very well equipped. We had a comfortable stay. Also, the weather on the day was not great and the temperature was low, but the indoor and outdoor wood stove was fresh and warm, which was great. I want to book in the warmer months next time.

We were able to use the message quickly, politely, and comfortably.

The wooden house is very comfortable and cozy, very much like a ski hut hhh, the audio-visual room is very convenient to use, and it brought a lot of fun to our trip ~
