If you need a sign to stay here, this is it!!! My friends and I spent our Easter weekend at Fern Cottage with Nicola and her 4 doggies. I cannot express enough how grateful we are to have had this stay with her. We walked in to a freshly baked Easter cake and the sweetest card ever. Everything in the house had such clear instructions and she also had a folder with all the details about the place surroundings so we never had to look for anything. We will definitely be visiting again! This place was truly so special and homely! We spent so much time in the conservatory, reading, chatting and soaking in the views. It really is the perfect getaway!

We had a very enjoyable stay. Martina and David were friendly and helpful and the accommodation was comfortable and spacious. Such a tranquil setting surrounded by beautiful countryside and yet so close to the A39 which made it a perfect base for exploring Exmoor. Great walking and wildlife area. We hope to return to Exmoor and would certainly be looking to stay with Martina and David again.

Lucy communicated with me amazingly even recommending the pub we went to which was superb ! She left some milk for me, popped by to say hi with her little Collie dog and hubby even dropped over some butter in the morning bcos I’d forgotten to buy some ! Above and beyond helpful The room was fantastic had everything we could ask for and the privacy was spot on … the furnishings were lovely the rooms were spotless everything was where it should be we would love to come back sometime and try out the log burner 🥰

It was a great stay. Alexis made me feel welcomed and was always patient and helpful during my stay whenever I had a question. Communication went smoothly. The shepherd hut itself is very clean and there was nothing I've missed. I could see a lot of effort has been put into the details, and everything is accurately described. In particular, I enjoyed the wood burner. The place is a gem and I really enjoyed it.
