Christopher's place is incredible value for money for anyone looking to get off the beaten track and adventure in Attica. Christopher is very helpful, friendly and generous, sharing delicious yoghurt, cheese and pies from his family farm and helping us deal with little issues that arose (like unseasonable mosquitos). The town of marathon is charming and friendly. The surrounding area is beautiful and full of things to do (beaches, hikes, archaeological sites). The house is spacious, historic and rustic, with beautiful garden and all the basic amenities, perfect for our family of 7 including young children.

From Vari you can get everywhere relatively quickly. You have several supermarkets and cafes on a street. The accommodation itself is relatively nice and you have enough space, but we would have liked it to have been a little cleaner (spider tissue on the windows, dental odor). The host was always available and quick to respond to messages.

Maria was a very nice and warm host, always answering within minutes. She was organizing the shuttle from the airport for us and we could check in, in the middle of the night (with an extra charge, since usual check in time is until 10pm.). The apartment is well equipped, all is very clean and nice. Everything was as described. The area is calm, close to the nice beach (7 Euro/ Person/Day), the lake and nice restaurants and a very good bakery. A mini market is within ca. 8 min. walking distance. Otherwise there are no shops in the area. The house does not have an elevator but depending on the apartment you chose, many stairs. Some of the other apartments have sea view. The apartments of Maria can really be recommended.
