Vicky is a wonderful host, was always responsive to messages and didn’t hesitate to go the extra mile for me when I had special requests for our stay. The location is amazing with a railway station right at the back of the lodge. Inside the lodge itself was beautiful and very clean and the highlight for me and my fiancée was the hot tub. We absolutely loved our stay there and had the absolute best time and cannot wait to return there in the future.

Unbelievable stay. I am a sucker for romantic hideaways with hot tubs! Have done loads but this place trumps everyone! My partner’s birthday- Katie decorated it as a surprise! Did not expect that. Luxurious, beautiful little touches throughout the lodge. The views to die for. Extremely comfortable. Perfect nights sleep. Quiet. Planning to return soon as want to visit Castleton and hope valley. Definitely well worth booking ❤️

We’ve just returned from Lapwing Lodge. Beautiful location, very peaceful and the facilities were everything we needed. The photos don’t do it justice. The cabin was spotless and the hottub was a great bonus. Arrived to a very easy check in and we were even given until midday to leave on the departure date. Would definitely be interested in returning in the future.

Anne was lovely, great facilities, hot tub was amazing. 10/10 would definitely go back. Area was quiet. Lidl 3 minute drive away which came in handy and only 25 minutes away from Sheffield city centre

This is the second time going to Duncan’s cabin, the first was a while ago but just like then not disappointed! Gorgeous little get away and the place is well stocked with anything you could need. Definitely be returning for a third time, definitely recommend. Thank you Duncan!

We stayed here for my partner’s birthday, it was lovely getaway and break from life itself. A stunning view from the room and Hot tub. The hosts were friendly and very helpful. As well as the accommodation was very clean and tidy. There’s pubs, restaurants and walks close by and the whole surrounding area feels safe, secure and peaceful. I’d definitely recommend to anyone who was looking at a peaceful getaway.

Arrived as strangers and left feeling apart of the family! Genuinely, if you could chose who owned the property you was going to stay at, you’d chose Amanda and Gerry EVERYTIME, beautiful, caring, attentive, human beings, they simply can’t do enough for you! Their property is a country bolt hole, in the middle of paradise IMO, if your thing is scenic, picturesque, rolling hills, accompanied by a background chorus of wildlife, look no further! This place has everything you need and more, for winding down and relaxing. We had our little dogs with us, and they had a great time exploring and running free, in a safe space, carefully monitored by Snowball the cat, who wasn’t a bit put out, as she spent one of the 5 nights with us, while it was lashing down. We had a wonderfully peaceful week by the lake. The cottage had everything we needed. We felt like were cut off from the world but there were plenty of food and shop options very nearby. A lovely place to unwind with the family.

The host was so lovely and responsive, such a peaceful picturesque place just away from anything busy so it’s just quiet and beautiful, knaresborough is also really close so it’s easy getting to any food spots or walks close by, it was honestly perfect

lovely and peaceful accommodation in a serene location. the view was just beautiful! perfectly booked by my husband for my birthday getaway. the lodge was well equipped and so clean with everything being easy to find. Julia was a lovely host and gave us a very warm welcome and showed us around the lodge and gave a lovely welcome basket with a cake which we used for my birthday.

Nicky’s cabin was a gem and the perfect way to spend a relaxed weekend. The place was peacefully secluded. Tucked away surrounded by trees. Super cosy interior and serene surroundings. Nicky was a warm, responsive host who made everything easy. We left feeling recharged and already thinking of a future visit.

Beautiful idyllic setting. Felt very private. Lovely retreat for a couple taking a break away from family responsibilities!

This is a unique and wonderful place to stay. Nigel’s artistry and craftsmanship show in every detail of The Carriage which he has lovingly restored to its former glory (but with all mod cons). Nigel was also a great host. The Carriage was a highlight of our trip.

Wonderful stay at deer cabin, very peaceful with the sound of birds and private. Lovely cosy cabin and very clean. Nice added touch with robes and snacks. Hosts were super friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend staying here, just what we needed! Lots of things do in surrounding areas too and locals all very friendly
