The house where the farmer used to live with his family has been converted into a comfortable apartment with a spacious living room and open kitchen downstairs, overlooking the meadows and the park of Wanswert. The apartment is in personal style and fully furnished. Where possible, we used second chance furniture. Together with the piano and comfortable wood-burning stove, a nice living environment arises. The apartment has a cozy private garden all around, a private front door and lots of privacy.

Dicht bij het stadscentrum van Leeuwarden staat Woodpecker, een ruime en lichte bungalow van 100 m². U heeft een eigen ingang en de Woodpecker beschikt over twee royale slaapkamers, beide met een eigen douche en toilet. De keuken is uitgerust met alle basisgemakken. Idyllic cottage by the river

We were there for a longer period of time. The location is fantastic, you can sit directly on the water in the sunshine and enjoy a coffee and watch the ships. The dog also felt comfortable and could run freely. At the back of the garden is bordered by. The neighborhood is very nice and very helpful. In addition to a pizzeria and a barbecue snack, there is unfortunately no way to eat and drink anywhere in the evening, unless you drive 10 km further, but since we had a bike with us, ( there are also two available there), this was no problem for us and you can do what you want to do in the area beforehand, or what is offered. As Simone has already described for 1.90 m tall people, as we are, it was a challenge above, but we knew that before, because it was in the listing. All in all, a beautiful cottage quaintly furnished and in the kitchen everything is available and a very nice hostess.

We had a wonderful week. The house has all the comforts, including a very nice kitchen. The sun in the front garden was also nice, where we could have had a quiet breakfast. The location is nice and quiet, so we were really able to sleep very well. In the area we enjoyed the nature, the tranquility and the friendly people. The reception was warm and personal, even our dog Bettie received a warm welcome. All in all recommended, we will definitely come back there. Finally, I would also like to mention Dokkum, a very nice town with special shops and good restaurants. Thank you Coen and Anne (and Marianne) for this beautiful, nice week. A hidden gem in Friesland

We booked this stay as a gift for my parents. The cottage is cozy, clean and fully furnished. Everything you need is there - from fine lighting to good blackout curtains and a wonderful bed. The bathroom was fresh and comfortable, with a nice shower and plenty of towels. The garden is spacious and quiet, with a cozy seating area. Inside, there are fun games, which is a nice alternative to a TV. The kitchen is compact, but practical with an air fryer and hob. The only downside: there was no freezer compartment. The contact with Anita was great. She is very friendly, welcomes you warmly and had decorated the cottage extra nicely for the occasion. She also gave great tips about the area. The location is quiet, yet close to Dokkum and Leeuwarden. Parking was also easy. All in all, a very successful stay.
