By car, the popular excursion destinations Wasserkuppe and Milseburg can be reached in approx. 10 minutes. At 950 m, the Wasserkuppe is the highest mountain in Hesse and offers a wide range of leisure activities for the whole family (skiing, sailing and paragliding, summer toboggan run, climbing forest, etc.).

From the windows to the courtyard, the border mountains to Lower Franconia can be seen, e.g. Dammersfeld, Beilstein and Eierhauck. From here, many well-known excursion destinations can be quickly reached. For example, Wasserkuppe, Kreuzberg, Fulda, Bad Neustadt or Würzburg, as well as hiking and bike trails. Horseback riding is possible in the neighboring village.

An unobstructed view of nature at the upper edge of the village of Gersfeld OT Sandberg on a south slope at about 600 m above sea level invites you to linger. Whether spring, summer, fall or winter, it can accommodate up to 8 discerning guests.

Idyllic farm right on the Fulda

Our farm is located in the middle of the Rhön Biosphere Reserve in a quiet part of Sandberg on a 7,000 sqm property. The Fulda flows directly through our farm and invites children to splash and play. In 1998, the former farm was completely renovated, with a lot of love for detail. In the garden you will find sun loungers, hammocks, a barbecue corner as well as a frog pond and a children's play area with a swing and a stilt house, so there is enough space to relax and unwind.

Hof Niebling - Maisonette & sauna barrel in the Rhön

The apartment "Mostberg" is a maisonette with private entrance and views of nature. On the 1st floor there is a living/dining room, a kitchen with sliding door, a bedroom with double bed and the bathroom with shower/WC. On the 2nd floor there is another bedroom with double bed and a large living studio. Right in front of the apartment entrance you will find our beautiful sauna barrel. Relaxation guaranteed! An individually furnished apartment awaits you in a house directly on the protected landscape area. The apartment has its own garden area and you can enjoy the tranquility of this accommodation here. Rhön hiking trails lead directly past the house, on adjacent meadows grazing horses and cattle in summer. Nevertheless, it is only a few minutes' walk to the train station and good restaurants and cafes in Gersfeld city center or to the Gersfeld swimming pool.

Cozy tiny house in the Rhön

The tiny house for unique days in the Hessian Rhön stands in the large garden next to a second tiny house. From the house and from the terrace you have an unobstructed beautiful view of the valley. The house is fully equipped. It is made up of a bathroom with shower and water toilet, kitchenette, dining table, fold-out sofa, satellite TV, Wi-Fi. A staircase leads to the cozy sleeping area. Hot tub/ hot tub for a fee (on request/ upon availability).

The shopping market is only 50 meters away, quietly located. Direct connection to cycling and hiking trails. The swimming pool is 250 meters away. Parking right outside the door.

Our 2 apartments can be found on the 1st floor of the main house of a former Farms in Rengersfeld, a small District of Gersfeld. It is green and quiet with us. The apartments are new and lovingly furnished. Both apartments share a very large balcony separated by green plants. If you want to provide bed linen + towels from us, please tell us. We charge 15€ per set for this.
