Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Waterland

This is lovely family home in lovely Dutch country village, Broek in Waterland, just a short drive or bus connection from Amsterdam. The house was under partial renovation (which the owners warned me for) when I was there for ten days this summer, but the fully-equipped kitchen, the spacious living room, and the amazing view from the garden on water and fields really made the stay very enjoyable. My friends loved the art, the books and general vibe of the house. Maartje and Maarten were excellent and very relaxed hosts who showed me around the house before they left on vacation. Oh and private parking is also a plus. Highly recommended.

Annie was the perfect host with all the check-in details and information needed for a great stay. The place is just as described but honestly better than we expected. we had everything we needed and more, many special details and the place is super charming and homey. The city of Monnickendam was just perfect for us, as it is beautiful and people very friendly. Amsterdam is convenient as well as Volendam .. we visited both. There are many local shops and restaurants in the area with a very relaxing environment. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need and was very clean. Annie gave us great instructions and information and was available by phone right away with any questions we had. One of the best Airbnb experiences all around, we really did not want to leave and look forward to a return trip. There were five of us in Michel's accommodation over the Pentecost weekend, as we wanted to explore Amsterdam – and it was exactly the right choice! The house was very clean, cozy and equipped with everything you need to feel comfortable. Especially practical: There was a parking space right in the courtyard, so we could easily drive to the center of Amsterdam (about 40–50 minutes). The surroundings in Almere were also very nice and quiet – ideal for relaxing after an eventful day. Communication with Michel was excellent, he was always available and had many helpful tips for us. We would come back anytime – highly recommended!

The first thing I have to say is Sophie and Pieter are clearly lovely people. We were late because of traffic but Sophie waited for us and gave a warm and very helpful welcome. Secondly, the apartment is a real home from home. The kitchen has all the equipment you need if you want to dine at home. Throughout the apartment everything was clean and functional as well as being well designed and attractive. Thirdly, the location is excellent. The tram runs regularly on the Overtoom and gets you right into the centre in 20 easy minutes. On the other side is the Vondelpark, which is a slice of real Amsterdam that many people would miss, which is a shame as it’s fantastic. The bar run by the brewery was a real find for us. Around you are a number of excellent places to eat and drink on both sides of the park and into the centre. Finally I am going to return to Sophie and Pieter - honestly you could not get better hosts. Thank you very much - we intend to return.

The location was great, walking distance to trains and trams to get to the heart of Amsterdam. Far enough away to be quiet for nights in. Nancy was very communicative even though she was on holiday. Easy parking if you drive in and plenty of space for 5, especially if someone doesn’t mind the couch. Would be great for 3 couples. Amazing showers 😁

Great apartment in a nice, quiet neighborhood! Perfect for our group of 3 girls. The bed in the main room was very comfortable. The second bedroom is a bit tight so better for 1 adult or 2 small children but there is tons of storage space throughout the apartment. The only thing worth flagging is that the shared wall and ceiling are pretty thin so you can very clearly hear the neighbors entering/exiting their apartment, which was quite startling at times.

Fabulous place in the heart of Amsterdam! Easy to walk to most places, and the tram was close if you want to venture out further. Our family enjoyed people watching from the big open Dutch windows. Very beautiful location. Hosts were friendly, and quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend!

Such a lovely stay! This place was exactly what we needed — peaceful, cozy, and away from all the city noise. The cottage is super cute, clean, and has everything you need. Loved waking up to the sounds of farm animals, and it’s close to some handy local grocers too. The host, Marit was amazing — super responsive and really made us feel welcome. Highly recommend if you’re looking to unplug, recharge, and enjoy a bit of countryside bliss. We’d definitely come back!

The property is located 20 mins from Schiphol Airport, in a quiet gated community. The house was neat and clean and located beside a water canal. The kitchen and cutlery were well stocked. The furniture was comfortable. Plenty of towels provided. Easy to get to the city and to the other attractions. As stated in the description there is no washer / dryer. Bedrooms are located on the floor above the ground floor, the stairs are a bit steep. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very responsive, friendly and courteous. Upon request we were given a late checkout which was very helpful and very kind of the host. Indeed a superhost! Would love to come back someday!

We had a nice stay and Anneke or her daughter were always available for questions during the stay. The house is very nicely decorated, everything was clean, good amenities and the pool and jacuzzi were great. I am more than happy to recommend the place.

After cycling round the countryside each day with friends, coming back to "Amazinghouse" was an extra treat to look forward to. Plenty of space Inside and out for everybody to chill. Kitchen & dining room very well laid out, so all involved at dinner. Great outside space and garden with good BBQ. Had a wonderful stay & Murielle went above & beyond.

Loved the stay here. The location was perfect and the town was a great location to visit for a couple days

The location of the holiday home is very idyllic, no car traffic (a small handcart for luggage transport is available and is also useful), direct access to the water incl. The jetty and SUP and occasional flight noise during the day from the nearby Schiphol airport is not too much of a problem. Nevertheless, the condition of the kitchen requires a small upgrade (baseboards, etc.) and the windows could be cleaned extensively. Jan responded quickly to queries.

Splendid place for a weekend with friends. Big enough for 12 people, with a gorgeous garden and a nordic bath. We really enjoyed our stay! Only point which could be improved: the kitchen is a bit small if you want to cook.

Insanely great house with super lovely hosts. Joke and Peter always help with quick answers and give good tips. There are tips for activities, also to be found directly in the house. The house is a real dream and you feel right at home. We love staying here and have been coming here once a year.
