Holiday rentals with a kayak in Waterland

Lovely character home, very tastefully furnished, very helpful hosts. Superb location and a bonus of a pedal boot which was great to use in this location. We all had wonderful time.

All in all a great accommodation, modern, beautiful ambience, quiet, the garden with the furniture, the size, the jetty and the canal just great. In addition, the accommodation is very centrally located to take beautiful bike tours, the small town for the small shopping right in front of the door, what more do you need for an extended weekend. . .

we felt very comfortable. the location is fantastic! the house is well equipped. especially was that Ingrid and Robert were so easy to reach. unfortunately, the house was quite dusty.. Ingrid also seemed very upset that the cleaning company had cleaned badly and was accommodating. we still liked it very much! especially the outdoor area and the sauna are fantastic!!!

It was a perfect getaway. The house leaves nothing to be desired and you feel right at home. The best thing, however, is the location - all the cities worth seeing can be reached in 30 to 40 minutes by car. You can also reach your destination quickly by bike. There is also a beautiful lake in the immediate vicinity! Nanette is a great host – she is always quick to reach, is courteous and helpful and has good tips for the area. We would rent the house again if we were drawn to the area 😀 Highly recommended!

The accommodation completely convinced us: very clean, everything you need for a holiday week, very comfortable beds, great bathroom, appealing outdoor area. Very friendly, uncomplicated hosts, always available and with proactive tips, e.g. on the changed route. We can fully recommend Micaela and John's house.

We (5 friends+1 dog) had very nice days in the accommodation. Great quiet rural location - surrounded by nature. Nevertheless, the way to Amsterdam is quick and uncomplicated (small tip: there is a ferry). Victor and his wife are very friendly and uncomplicated. So if you need some peace and quiet but still want to be in the city or do other activities quickly, this is the place for you. Edam and Volendam are also highly recommended. A day trip to the North Sea is also worthwhile ;-) We will be happy to come back.

What an amazing place to stay it with kids, there was so much space around the lodge which all felt really safe to let them explore different activities. There was a quite a few groups there but it was never noisy or overcrowded. The lodges were really cool and different to what we stayed in previously, it did go a little cold one of the nights we were there but they were still comfortable and nice (you can rent heaters if needed). We would 100% come back in the future if we travel that way again. We went for a trip to Amsterdam which was easy to get to and Sprookjeswonderland which I would recommend too with children under 6/7

Great! Very responsive host, accommodation even more beautiful than in the photos, very clean, really great! I recommend it if you want to get away from the city for a few days!

At Wendela and Martin you have a wonderfully quiet (private) place. They live on the road, but they have built a cottage behind them with everything they need. Also a private terrace where it was wonderful to stay in the evening. Wendela and Martin are very friendly, warm welcome with delicious strawberries and cold drinks in the fridge. The cottage is equipped with all comforts and has good beds and a nice shower. We were looking for a place to stay because our son was participating in the Ironman 70.3 and this place is definitely recommended. But it is also a good base for beautiful bike rides. We have therefore had a number of wonderful days.

The Weidehuisje is really a very magical place for relaxation. The view was beautiful on the water and the cows. Schermerhorn is a very sweet place with a fantastic landscape. The accommodation is equipped with everything you need.

We had a very lovely stay in Jisp with Esther and Marc. Spacious accommodation in such a peaceful location. Our hosts were fantastic, so accommodating and helpful. We made the best of the weather with several days of cycling and relaxing. Public transport is excellent as to be expected. We would love to come back and explore more of North Holland.

We immediately fell in love with this place. A unique spot, this cozy cottage with the green property and a private swimming area. The right place to slow down and relax. We enjoyed jumping into the lake after getting up, having breakfast with a view of the lake and watching the sailors and surfers. The cottage is small, but equipped with everything you need to make your stay pleasant. Rarely have we found such a well-equipped kitchen. The house is also a very good starting point for excursions by bike to the nature reserves, to the sea and to Haarlem (25 - 30 min). Restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. Ralph is straightforward, always responds very quickly to inquiries and provides us with the necessary information. Adam, his father, who welcomed us and whom we got to know personally, is a very likeable and warm person.

we were very hospitably received by Mischa and Juan. In the space, everything you need is present and everything is very neat and with the decoration it looks beautiful. You can use their garden that is on the water, which we did as it was beautiful weather. We used their breakfast service, which is highly recommended, it was more than enough with the delicious sandwiches, yogurt with fruit and muesli, an egg and various sweet and savory toppings. In any case, we know where we are going again if we have to be in the area.

We were there with the family and had a wonderful stay. The house is high-quality, but still functionally furnished. It is very cozy and offers enough space for 6/7 people. There's everything you need!

A gorgeous stay in Tienhoven with our baby - Sara and Steven were full of fantastic local walks, bike rides and even a kayak route which was very sheltered and lovely. The space is great, very comfortable and lovely garden to relax in too. Would definitely recommend!

The accommodation was great, as described and in the pictures. We enjoyed it very much. Only the access road was officially closed and therefore we had some problems to get to the hut. Nevertheless, we had a great accommodation and would come back anytime! Plus point: dogs allowed!

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Alkmaar! It is close enough to enjoy all that the city has to offer, yet it also provides a beautiful, peaceful escape from the business and crowds. Han and Kelly were great hosts, providing helpful recommendations and even rides from the train station and into Alkmaar. We also enjoyed hanging out with the dog, cat and chickens! We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay at Conny's place. The environment is beautiful and peaceful. We were able to boat on the canal. The very friendly host.

The facility and the accommodation were very nicely laid out and well maintained. The location by the lake is very nice for walks and the restaurant on the premises is excellent. There is also a lot on offer for children.

This is one of the best Air BNB experiences I've had in years. Janneke was personable, friendly and awesome to chat with. She gave us great recommendations and privacy. The house is adorable and secluded. I look forward to coming back some day.
