This was indeed a wonderful retreat. Just the right balance between nature and convenience. The clever use of space meant that there was plenty of room to relax and stash things away during my 4 night stay. Stunning location, served as a great base for local beaches. Clara was very friendly. I’d happily come again.

We had a great stay! Janette's place was the perfect base to explore around and come back to a very peaceful location. She was a lovely host and very responsive. Tip: There's a local bakery (Charmouth bakery) just off the Main Street that has great coffee and the best croissants we've had in the UK.

Rushay is a house of huge character and charm, with a lovely garden set in beautiful countryside. Its location allows for early morning swims, lovely country walks from the door, and short hops into Lyme and Bridport. Its spaciousness and comfort allows elbow room and great communal spaces. All in all a great setting for a memorable weekend.

Great location, with amenities - and views across Charmouth to the sea - just as shown in photos. Just 10 minutes or so wander downhill to the sea and only half a mile from the village centre with a good (early until 9.00pm) convenience store, small bakery, pharmacy and pubs. Lots of coastal and inland walks within relatively short drives and easy access to Lyme Very responsive host.
