Completely newly renovated, 650-year-old old town apartment, only 5 minutes' walk to downtown in an absolutely quiet location in the beautiful Wehrgraben right next to the Steyr River. The former barn is originally converted into a holiday home of a special kind, 144 m² on two levels. Surrounded by 2 ha of meadow, 1 ha of forest, a place for retreat, for family holidays, for "Simply Being in Hollenstein." Swimming, tennis, cycling (Ybbstag cycle path right outside the door), hiking, skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and tobogganing right by the house if the snow allows! 3 km from the center of Hollenstein, very good infrastructure.

This is a breathtaking place for people who really want peace and nature, far away from everything else. Meadow, forest, fresh air and mountains. Here there are deer, chickens, cats and bees. The apartment is on a farm, alone in the middle of a large clearing, which I am building as an organic farm with permaculture. It consists of a huge room with wooden floor, new wood-burning stove and mountain views, as well as a bathroom, and a kitchen.

The apartment is located in beautiful countryside and very quiet. The landlord and his family are extremely friendly, accommodating and helped us easily with questions and small concerns. The apartment has everything you need for a few days away. Because we cooked a lot, the small dishwasher was great for us. Hiking and walking trails go straight from the neighborhood Excursions can be made to the Basilica on the Sunday mountain (fantastic Rubdumblick) or to Waidhofen an der Ybbs. We enjoyed it very much and we can absolutely recommend the accommodation for families and peace seekers!

The place was great and Johanna was very friendly and accommodating (she gave us wine glasses and sparkling wine glasses for New Year's Eve and great excursion tips). We felt very much at home in the apartment. The location is quite quiet, with nice views of the Sunday mountain and the kitchen of the apartment is well equipped. All in all a great stay. Highly recommend!

We were very warmly welcomed by Melitta and her family and felt very welcome. The communication beforehand was super fast and straightforward to find the house easily despite its seclusion. The house is cozy, lovingly furnished and equipped with all amenities (including internet and TV for any rainy evenings). The garden is simply fantastic and invites you to linger - you almost don't want to explore the area anymore because you don't want to miss a second in the accommodation. The location of the house is ideal for excursions in the Ötscher area. A bathing day or two at the Erlauf is also possible - even on foot if you like. In nearby gaming, you will also find all the shops serving daily needs and a top regional shop with delicacies from the area. We will definitely be back!
