Monthly Rentals in Yucatán Peninsula

I spent 10 days in Alicia's quiet, cozy Airbnb. It's a great budget studio apartment, with two issues that stop it from being perfect. First the good: The unit is in great condition and has a well-equipped kitchen, with a blender, coffee maker, microwave, a fast induction cooker, and a drum of drinking water with a pump. It's a very private space, with lots of natural light, in an excellent location: in a quiet neighbourhood between downtown and a major shopping area. It's a pleasant 15 minute walk to multiple malls and big supermarkets. It's also a 5 minute walk to a big pharmacy (Guadalajara) and a mini-supermarket (Dunosusa), plus frequent buses going to the Centro. Alicia was very nice when she checked me in, and always very responsive to messages. The only downsides were: The wifi, a bit slow and with a weak and unreliable signal (needs a repeater), not suitable for voice calls; and the weak shower, which made it hard to really wash off. Otherwise, it was a very good stay.

Odile is a gem!!! Anything I need or asked for she was there! I will be definitely staying there again. Location was perfect! Renting a car or ATV is definitely suggested but you can also find things in walking distance. If you stay anywhere stay here! Odile thank you for everything ☺️

I don't even know where to begin to sum up how wonderful of a host Regina is. I spent about 6 months in Merida, driving from Seattle w/ my dog. This was my first time in Mexico, so I was faced with a litany of new experiences & challenges far from home & my usual support system. From the moment I arrived, Regina was so attentive & proactive helping me settle in, giving me invaluable info on the area, how things work, & making sure I had everything I needed. Moreover, she is so much more than just a host, & someone I consider family now! Great conversations, very laid back, practical, & a genuinely kind, incredible person (also soooo patient as I talk her ear off, like I do 🤣). The apartment is cozy and well-equipped, in a quiet area, & she is happy to let you do your thing if you prefer solitude. Yucatán is chill/safe & I had a blast exploring. The hardest part of leaving was saying goodbye.😭 I look forward to doing this again very soon! Make sure to visit Bacalar, too!! It's 🤌
