Cabin holiday rentals in Appalachian Ski Mountain Lake

Gorgeous view of grandfather mountain! The space was cute and tidy and the backyard space was by far the highlight! Loved the fire pit area and the lounge chairs where you could just lay under trees and watch the mountain. The bathroom was small for 2 people and the shower grout looked a little dirty. Other than that the stay was great and the location is awesome! We loved mountain dog coffee which is only ~5 minutes away!

I wish we could have stayed an entire week! The cabin is wonderful. Cozy, clean, with the right amount of magic to make rustic feel luxurious. Theresa and David are wonderful hosts and stayed in communication during our travel snags and cancelled flights. I am already looking ahead at my calendar and trying to decide when I might be able to return. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful spot.

If I was someone on the fence about staying here, I would absolutely stay here! It was beautiful, very clean, well taken care of and very relaxing! It was the best way to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and we will certainly be back! The price was very reasonable for 2 nights in a beautiful relaxing cabin too! We were able to bring our puppy which made it even better! Firefly cabin is a must stay!

What a perfect name for this home - Cozy Cabin was cozy indeed! This home had everything we needed for two families with small kids and a dog. The location was great and we loved spending time on the back deck. Such a peaceful setting and a great location with proximity to Boone and Blowing Rock. The hosts were super responsive and left great info and recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. We didn’t want to leave but are already looking forward to our next stay here!

Can’t say enough about this place. Everything was as described. Clean, nicely decorated and private. Lots of things to do around the area and if you just wanted to stick to the cabin. There wasn’t once where we thought “you know if would be nice if we had a” or “I need a”… and we opened a cabinet or drawer and there was what we needed. Made it very much like a home and not an Airbnb. Thank you. We will be back.

We absolutely loved staying at Rivers Edge! Cutest little cabin with the best view! We got to see a fox across the river looking for some food and a family of deer crossing the river this morning before we left! Cabin was stocked with everything you need and the cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed in! We will be back and refer all our friends to stay at this mountain paradise!

This was the perfect prelude to our wedding week and a great place to stay for the All Star Race. Host was responsive and the cabin matched all the photos. Great experience.

Lauren’s place was amazing! We enjoyed sitting by the fire at night and the kids loved the hot tub and ping pong table. Everything was clean and lots of chairs for the entire family. It is tucked back into the woods so it was quiet and peaceful. We also enjoyed watching several deer walk past a few times. I’m highly recommend Lauren’s cabin.

Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay! Richard is an excellent host who obviously wants his guests to have the best stay possible. Our personal favorites were the outdoor areas. The surrounding are so beautiful and peacful, and Richard's home provides a gazebo, porch with sofa, fire pit, and deck dining which we loved. If you want a cozy cabin in the mountains, Richard's place is for you!

Tranquil beautiful setting. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to a babbling Creek and enjoying the cool fresh Mountain Air. Enjoyed a stroll by the pond and watched the frogs and a chipmunks frolic. Very comfortable rooms and beds. Nicely furnished with comfortable seating and kitchen at all the needed amenities. Will definitely return again soon.

Walter gave us an amazing place to stay for our anniversary weekend. Very secluded and private, which is something we were looking for. We felt right at home when we walked in and wish we could take this cabin back home. Everything was very tidy, well organized and we didn’t have to go looking for anything. We didn’t get to use the fire pit because it rained a majority of the weekend, which we were bummed about, but that didn’t stop us from sitting outside and listening to the sound of the river, rain and frogs. Very peaceful! Being so close to the river it made it very easy and quick to run down and throw a few casts in the river. Thank you Walter for the very comfortable stay. This place is on our list of places to hopefully return to!

Super clean, great location, very peaceful! Such a beautiful place to stay if you are looking to get away from. Situated great for hiking and exploring local towns. Lance was very friendly, tagged along everywhere with us and was very interested in the dogs!

Don’t think - just book it! This was the epitome of a relaxing and peaceful stay. We ventured out a few times for meals or hikes, but we had everything we needed at the cabin. Plenty of books, movies, games, trails, and a cozy spot to relax around every corner. The sound of the water running in the creek was the most beautiful soundtrack to our babymoon!

We loved it here. Our favorite is the back deck and the view. The kids loved the play room also. It is a great location to go swimming at the lake.

We loved our stay at this peaceful, rustic cabin! It was exactly as described—cozy, well-equipped, and perfect for relaxing. The host was responsive and thoughtful, checking in after a storm and helping quickly with a keypad issue. Cooking breakfast in the cast-iron skillet was a highlight. We'd definitely stay again!

Beautiful cabin, with a huge tub that was so relaxing to soak in. Beautiful view, loved the porch off the loft bedroom and the wrap around porch with the grill and laundry room! The only disappointing thing was we never seen any llamas, alpacas, or anything of the sort. The property made up for that, tho.

The cabin was perfect for us! The kitchen was perfectly stocked so we were able to cook breakfast there. The treehouse is so cute and perfect for kids. The host had great communication and all the instructions made everything so easy.

Wonderful House The separate office area was a great benefit. The deck was a fabulous space to hang out. The stream you hear is very relaxing. The deck was so wonderful we went to the grocery store and purchased food to grill out one night. Easy to get to Boone, Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The house was clean and stocked with everything you need. The complimentary snacks were a pleasant surprise. We would return to this house in the future.

Ben’s place is a great place to stay. The location to ASU is amazing. My family and I really enjoyed our stay. We would book again at Ben’s home, Then communicated clearly and responsibly. Kimberly

What a great place to getaway, relax, but be close to everything! We loved exploring the creek and listening to all of the different birds every morning and night! We will definitely be back!

This was a favorite Airbnb. When you think of everything you can imagine provided. It was!!!! So beautifully decorated. Everything cozy to make you feel right at home. Clear instructions on how to use everything was so helpful. A beautiful new deck that overlooked the mountains with incredible views. A goody basket was provided...so thoughtful. Everything was absolutely perfect. Oh...comfortable beds, great linens, soft towels etc. Definitely hope to visit again soon.

This was the perfect spot for a relaxing and cozy stay in the mountains with my family of four. The hot tub was the perfect addition to the place. It feels secluded and in the country even with Boone and Blowing Rock being 10 min easy drives in either direction. App Mountain right around the corner and easily accessible, too!

We loved our stay at Mossy Creek! Lisa is a fantastic hostess and the cabin is so clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking good meals. The beds and linens are super cozy. It’s a pretty setting yet close to Boone and Blowing Rock. We were there for a quick overnight but we will be back!
