Our Mountain Gem is nestled in walking distance to Lake Lure Marina, Morse Park, Lake Lure Beach front, restaurants and many activities. The house is great for gathering with family and friends, or quiet times away. The floor plan is open and spacious. Each floor has its own living area, kitchen and bathroom, with ample sleeping on either level. The Snookmore is perfectly located just 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 8 miles from downtown Asheville. Just hop on the Parkway and have the Appalachian wilderness at your beck and call or mosey on down to the hottest town the South has to offer. Its only neighbors are ourselves and our other rental house, the Snookery. Note on Helene: we were very luck in Snookville with a lot of downed trees, but nothing structural. There are still outages, but the generators keep the power on.

Our home is located in the Mount Mitchell Golf Community about an hour from Asheville. Unfortunately, this once highly rated public golf course has suffered greatly from storms and is not playable. However, hiking and sightseeing are the best! We're 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and situated among the Pisgah National Forest where waterfalls and trails are accessible. Our spacious home sits high among trees. Come enjoy the beauty of the area!
