Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Barry

Thanks for having us Jules. Perfect house for what we needed. Clean, comfortable and cosy. East to get into town by bus or Uber. Found somewhere to park on the street outside easily. Lovely and quiet at night. Perfect little garden.

Place was lovely, really clean and well organised. Off road secure parking which was fab! Great hub to get to the Brecons, we did multiple hikes & explored the area. Valentina is really proactive with her communication and made it so easy. Plan to come back and would recommend to friends!!

What an amazing find. An idyllic cottage with outstanding views. Janet & Mike were very hospitable and friendly and I would highly recommend booking this cottage. We were welcomed by Mike who set up the log burner for us, so lovely to have a real fire on a chilly evening. We saw lots of baby rabbits, bats, sheep, chicken and Guinea Fowl, it felt just like Snow White’s cottage. A perfect relaxing, peaceful break away with breathtaking views across the Welsh countryside.

The original cottage has been renovated , decorated and furnished to a very high standard, making it a comfortable place to be. The outdoor space is delightful, with the relaxing sound of the river below and the plentiful birdsong.

My Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay , It was like a home 🏠 from home 🏡, very clean , Garden looks amazing 🤩 Beds most importantly very comfortable, Lynette a very responsive host ,great local walks, amazing mountain ⛰️ views from the windows and garden!we are definitely 👍🏻 coming back!! A very spacious house in a very good location, close to the city but feeling very rural. The garden was a great bonus with plenty of space to sit outside (in some sunshine!) Travelling to the city with Uber was very easy. Communication with Harriet was excellent with quick relevant responses. Nice wine & chocolates on arrival too.

The chapel house is a hidden gem, with 2 beautiful balconys the one leading off the bedroom at the back has stunning views of mountains and is pure bliss to wake up to the beds are comfy. Everyone felt comfortable and relaxed for my two picky daughters they slept amazingly, i would advise though if you are plus size the shower is a tight fit so just be aware when booking. The host was brilliant couldnt have asked for better. Will definitely be looking to rebook again.

Fab location and home from home

Very clean, comfortable, lovely space. Much bigger than I was expecting! The first air BnB we’ve stayed in where I want to make a special mention about the beds. They were amazingly comfortable. I struggle to sleep usually in beds that aren’t my own but these beds were spot on. Easy check in and parking space was a great plus point.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alison's - thank you for having us! The spacious apartment has obviously been recently furnished, and it was extremely clean. There was everything we needed, with a very comfortable bed with high quality bed linen. Thank you for the generous welcome basket, which was ideal for our breakfasts, and we enjoyed the biscuits too! All in all we thought it was excellent, and a great location for visiting St Fagans and our Cardiff cousins. Thank you very much to Alison and Luigi, and we hope to stay with you again.

Liz kindly accepted a same day booking for a last minute trip! The flat feels very homely and clean with all the bits and bobs you'd need and is in a fantastic spot to walk into the center. It's a lovely characterful building with tall ceilings and benefits from a cute garden space. We'd happily book again next time we're in the area.

Phil’s communication was excellent , with clear instructions with pictures on how to find , access , and importantly free parking. 5 minute walk to the sea and Wetherspoons ! Phil responds immediately, and he left us a nice welcome pack of biscuits , tea/coffee, milk , coffee pods etc. Step access was no problem for us, just had to be careful with the children. Fortunately you could lock the door at the top and hide the key from the little ones ! Well appointed flat, many things looking very little used. Beds comfy. Toys for the children. Great Lounge and TV. Excellent WiFi. Plenty of cutlery, pots/pans, toasters, coffee maker. Great microwave and oven (takes time to learn the hob!). 5 chairs in the kitchen , but we were a party of 4 adults , child , toddler , so take this into consideration. We managed ok and Phil offered to get us an extra chair/high chair.

Robert was friendly and helpful. The location had a great train service, which I used to get into Cardiff. The locals were really friendly and there were pubs within walking distance, along with a good Indian. There aren't many shops in the town but there is a Co-op. It was a great base to get around the local areas and not far to the seaside. The apartment was very clean with everything I needed and dog friendly. The only reason I may not be back is because it is not a wheelchair friendly town to get around, with uneven pavements and few dropped curbs. I would definitely return were it not for that. We had a really great trip.

Emily helped us out of a huge hole at short notice when we couldn’t get in to the property that we had originally booked. She was very responsive and helpful, even though she was on holiday.
