Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Bassetlaw District

Our second year staying here for our 'hiking reunion', perfectly placed to walk out the door and explore the surrounding peaks, this year we hit the Stanage Edge hike. Many thanks!

Me and my wife Jude loved this place. Very scenic and peaceful yet within good distance to Leeds centre for when we wanted to do something more active. What a lovely cottage! The views were spectacular! My daughters and I took many pictures of the countryside and of the adorable sheep grazing nearby. The cottage was perfect for resting up and refreshing between our trips to the Chatsworth House and Gardens. This way our second visit here to this property (with family and two dogs first time, and with friends and one dog this time), and The Lodge offers comfortable accommodation for up to 10 people. Usefully, there is also driveway parking for our three vehicles. Teresa is responsive to queries and provides timely information, and booking here supports a charitable cause too , which is commendable. The Lodge is in a good location for visiting Matlock Bath, the excellent Crich Tramway Museum, and not too far to drive to some good walks and locations in the Peak District. We will definitely be coming back again to The Lodge! Elaine

Our stay at Andre and Sarah’s place was lovely. We spent the weekend there and the house felt cozy and homely. The house was well maintained and clean and had everything we needed. Sarah was also very responsive via Airbnb message for any questions we had. Thanks again!

Booked Jo's place as I attended a wedding nearby and it was perfect. Had all the amenities, was cosy and clean. I recommend Jo's place!

Had the most wonderful stay in this little oasis. The space was beautiful with lots of colour and character, along with a file of thoughtfully written guide of everything you'll need to know. Lisa was also very accommodating and super responsive throughout, especially over check in/out days. We stayed only for the weekend but could imagine this place being a great option for longer term stay as well. The neighbourhood in general is gorgeous and quiet, very close to Brocco Park which is a beautiful walk and relatively well connected to public transport. We chose to walk mostly and took around 30minutes on average to get to most of where we want to go. Highly recommend!

Plenty of comms from the moment we booked. Beautiful location and a lovely welcome package from Sarah. Within minutes of arriving we were already looking when we can book to come back. What a great find, we loved staying at Melissa's place. It was so clean, so stylish and classy. The fire pit, BBQ and log burner hot tub were all in use and that, coupled with a walk around their gorgeous land, watching the baby goslings march by in the morning was exactly what we wanted and more. We'd 100% go back, in fact we are already talking about it! Also Melissa and her mum Chrissie were lovely and very responsive - thanks for a great stay guys!

A picturesque location, ideal for exploring Woodhall spa and WW2 areas, whilst enjoying the quietness of the holiday cabin. Host very helpful and quick to respond with all communication. 😀

I loved the fact that I was immediately invited to go and look at the horses and their foals. Super friendly owner. I had an issue with the tv but it was very quickly sorted out. Loved the little touches - toiletries, sweeties…a bit of a gem I think.
