Erin’s place was charming! Small and quaint yet modern. I loved the views from the balcony. If you’re traveling in winter or not in 4WD/AWD, you might find it a little challenging to get up the mountain. We were nervous about no A/C but the temperature drops about 10-12 degrees on the mountain. Open windows and ceiling fans were perfect. Erin was a very proactive host reminding us the day before what check out tasks needed to be done instead of trying to thumb through house rules/messages. Any time we reached out she replied almost instantly no matter what time it was. You’re not surrounded by endless activities but it’s very peaceful and all the surrounding towns are charming! I enjoyed the various restaurants we went to in Boone and Tweetsie Railroad is a must-see! Erin’s place was perfect for our weekend getaway. Would love to stay at her place again.

We felt refreshed and at ease. Lovely apartment and had a wonderful time exploring the area.

This place was amazing. Me and my boyfriend stayed here for our 2 year anniversary and it was the best trip ever. This place is extremely beautiful and Lainie was the sweetest and very responsive! The view was so gorgeous and it was simply very peaceful here. I would totally stay here again and recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the Boone area❤️

Although we did have a few minor issues that we've been assured will be fixed, overall, we had an enjoyable stay at this Airbnb. The setting is quiet and peaceful -- just standing on the back deck helped my shoulders relax a bit. The beds were comfortable, the bedding was clean, and there was great water pressure in the shower. It was nice to have supplies, too -- plenty of towels, starter Keurig coffee pods, and even games for the kids in the closet. This rental is a great value for the price -- and much better than a hotel! We recommend and would stay again. Thanks, Maggie, for being such a proactive and easy-to-reach host!

Cute little condo with beautiful mountain views! We had a great time snow tubing right up the road and enjoyed checking out the other nearby ski towns! There was even some leftover snow that our Florida kids had a blast playing in. We also got in some fun family time enjoying the vinyl collection and board games. Highly recommend!

Very secluded beautiful spot for those who are looking for good vibes and a break from everyday reality.

Best Airbnb rental I’ve ever had. Furniture was super comfortable…..beds were AWESOME…….from being comfy to the great linens! Closet was loaded with extra pillows and blankets if you needed them. Owners thought of everything by leaving little notes for things (ex: how to get water hot faster). Super generous with supplies left there……even had razors if you needed them. Loved our stay and 100% staying there again next trip!

I was in town for a meeting and obvi the hotel options were limited. Andrew’s place was the perfect spot to lay my head. Super quick drive, like 1 minute, into town. There is a a fantastic grocery store within 10 minutes in the next town. An amazing steakhouse within 2 minutes. Many options for other places to eat, drink, and listen to music nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Very kind and accommodating host with thoughtful amenities! Easy to check in and out and the cute condo was extremely clean and inviting. We loved the friendly town of Banner Elk and will be coming back!

A great location if you are doing activities at Beech Mountian resort, very walkable. They were very responsive and provide very good info for dining and activities.

Absolutely loved the building. We needed a place that allowed our dog and us to have a place to eat and cook during our downtime. The back yard is HUGE which allowed the dog to run and play while we had our campfire. The fireplace inside made me feel right at home. The kitchen was stocked and the dish washer saved me a lot of time. The view alone should make you want to stay here! Sunsets were beautiful. Parking was limited… I found it difficult to park my truck.

Alison was very flexible with us and a gracious host. It was what we expected based on the listing and reviews. Here are a few things I would have liked to know: Pet friendly Great location in town Easy parking Showers were good (but small) Clean Nice Roku TV Comfortable seating Kitchen had what we needed but we just had snacks and didn’t cook Bathrooms are extremely small (like difficult to even close the door small) Bed was comfortable but pillows were big and stiff Walls are thin (can hear neighbors walking upstairs) - the fan for white noise helped in the bedroom

Fabby's place was awesome! It's a perfect one bedroom, one bath AirBnb with a pull-out couch. It was completely stocked with whatever we needed and was super clean and comfortable. The surroundings were beautiful- what gorgeous views we had! The covered outdoor porch is huge and perfect for hanging out and enjoying the outdoors. Fabby was very responsive and flexible with our checkout time, which I really appreciated. We were allowed to have our 2 small dogs there, which was great. I would highly recommend staying there. It was amazing!!

Beautiful condo in great location.

I had a great month long early spring stay at this mountainside studio condo with beautiful mountain and valley views. The unit was clean, comfortable, relaxing, and was perfect for my very simple needs. There are many on site and nearby (non-ski season) mountain hiking trails and quiet neighborhood road walking routes. I appreciated having access to the heated indoor pool and fitness room in the community clubhouse. Overall, a wonderful spot for anyone looking to enjoy the mountains!

What a great place! Also the host was very kind and great communication! Very nice place and only 10 minutes from Sugar Mountain. Wonderful amenities including pool, hot tub, sauna, library, shop, workout room etc etc. Only (potential) issue which is no fault of the owners is that this is a large 10 story condo complex. On busy days, especially around the weekend it can get very busy during check in and check out and you have to park outside of the guard shack and get shuttled back to the condo. Again, we didn’t really have much of a hang up but others did-just something to keep in mind. Fantastic place, and well equipped! Thank you again!

Great 1 bedroom condo at Sugar Ski. Host was excellent unit had everything you would need and recently renovated. If you are looking for a 1 BR unit at Sugar Ski I would stay here. I always stay at Sugar Ski when coming to Sugar Mountain. Nice indoor pool area and you can’t beat the close proximity to the ski resort in the winter. You can walk out your door and start skiing right down the mountain.

Just took my young girls there for their first time skiing and it was a great experience! Ian was very responsive and very friendly. I would highly recommend this place and I look forward to going back! The views and accommodations were amazing!!

This was the first time we have stayed at this Sugar Top location and with Michelle as host and i sincerely hope to stay again! Michelle was a great communicator and very patient with all my questions. The unit was lovey, updated, comfortable, and welcoming. The beds were COMFY! There were lots of extra blankets and pillows, which was so nice to have. The space was perfect for our little family! The staff at the property were all so friendly and helpful. We genuinely felt welcomed from beginning of our stay until we checked out. 10 out of 10 recommend Michelle and her property!

We booked at the last minute, but Hsiang-Ting made sure the front desk at the condo was informed, ensuring a smooth check-in. He was responsive and answered all our questions. The instructions were clear. The condo was perfect for a small family like ours. The location is convenient—just 2 miles straight to the top of the mountain—offering the privacy and seclusion ideal for this kind of retreat, yet still a short distance from a convenience store. The hotel also has a small pantry stocked with essentials like laundry detergent and toothbrushes. Overall, I would definitely recommend it.

Wow! We had a wonderful stay at Lynda’s condo. It was clean, decorated beautifully, and the views were incredible. We have rented many homes/condos for vacations (including two other condos in Echota on the Ridge) and this was the best by far. A few things that stood out: The kitchen was extremely well stocked. We had everything we needed to cook and even had coffee and basic seasonings. The towels and bedding were not your typical vacation rental quality. They felt plush and cozy. The view from the porch was stunning and we enjoyed our time sitting and enjoying the view. The home decor was beautiful and just like the photos. The condo was the perfect place to relax for a few days and spend quality time with family. We plan to come back next summer. Also, not having any stairs was amazing! The whole stay was perfection.
