Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Boone

This was our second time staying at Megan‘s place. It’s beautiful, cozy and a pristine location in the mountains above Boone with easy access to Boone, Blowing Rock, and surrounding areas. The accommodations are comfy, the amenities plentiful, and that mountain stream water tastes SO good. We hope to come back again some time.

We had an amazing stay here! It was clean and the area was beautiful. Everything was exactly as described. We saw deer in the yard and fish in the stream! It was super relaxing and perfect for a vacation.

We loved our stay at this beautiful house! It is the most well kept and stocked Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. We had everything we needed and more. Plus the beautiful creek and surroundings made for a great stay!

We had the most wonderful stay here while celebrating our daughter Presley’s second birthday in the mountains! From the moment we walked in, it felt like a home away from home, immaculately clean, thoughtfully decorated, and perfectly cozy for a family with a toddler in tow! The location was ideal for our weekend adventures, just minutes from Tweetsie Railroad and other charming spots in Boone and Blowing Rock. After long days of fun, it was such a gift to return to a peaceful, quiet space where Presley could rest comfortably and safely. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the host went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. If you’re looking for the perfect spot to relax, reconnect, and enjoy all that the mountains have to offer, this is the one!

Our family loved staying at Jared’s home. Lovely space, quiet but easy to get to Boone and Blowing Rock. Plenty of room for a family of five and we will certainly try to stay here again next time we are in the area.

CUTE!! And Serene! To be almost 100 yrs old the home is in fantastic shape. furniture was comfy. House was clean & as described. The area is beautiful & we loved the view, the sound of the stream talking to our neighbors in the morning...the herd of cows on the neighboring farm. And half way to West Jefferson & Boone.Definitely someplace we will consider again!

Pie in the sky was perfect for our family of 5! The views were absolutely incredible. It had everything we needed to cook, relax and stay for the weekend. Our family has stayed at dozens of Airbnb’s and this was one of our favorites. Highly recommended!

Cannot recommend this place enough!! We had a great stay, the location is great and convenient to restaurants as well as Boone and Blowing Rock. The house was pristine and so homey! The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay special and extremely accommodating. The house was so clean and comfortable. We loved the outdoor area and being close to the river. It was such a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. We will definitely be back!!

It is very cozy for a short stay. It is about 14 minutes to Grandfather Mountain. Great communicating with Amy prior arrival, she greeted us at the entrance.

Johnny’s place offered everything I needed and more for a night. It’s easy to walk into and around the little town Banner Elk, but it also has beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Johnny and his wife are very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my visit!

We always enjoy staying here! It’s our go-to place on Beech Mountain. Super-comfortable beds. We love sitting on the balcony and watching the deer while we have coffee in the morning. Michelle is a gracious host and an excellent communicator. Thanks again for another great stay!

Our stay here was Awesome! It's exactly what we needed. The space was lovely, beautiful, and very peaceful. I was in town handling some stressful business and I was able to escape into an oasis at Jaime's house. Thank you so much for being accommodating to me and my family.

We had a great stay at Susan’s place! A lovely home and perfectly walkable to King Street. Would definitely recommend, we were comfortable and cared for as the home had everything we needed!

Very pretty yard that is fully enclosed (front & back) which is great for bringing a dog. Our dog was quite happy we picked this home because he had other pups to visit with. The outside is very inviting, even though it rained a bit. They have areas that are covered, which are great for this. The inside is clean and neat. The bed was really comfortable and our son thoroughly enjoyed the air mattress. At the right time of year, the fireplace would be amazing. The location is great because it’s close enough to town to be convenient, and right by the Blue Ridge Parkway for hiking.

We love this tucked away AirBnB, walkable to everything in downtown Blowing Rock and a short drive to the parkway. It’s perfect!

My family and I stayed during App State graduation weekend. I stay in Airbnb's quite often and this was one of the best I've ever stayed in. I appreciated the lovely decor, working fireplace, CLEANLINESS, comfort of the beds and shower pressure and cozy furniture. The unit is shared in same structure with other apartments and all occupants were quiet and respectful. The view is beautiful. We enjoyed the amenities such as board games and good books. We also cooked a lot and found everything we needed in the well-stocked kitchen. Thank you, Trevor, for sharing this lovely retreat home with us and for the kind and clear communication.

Simon and Julia are super helpful and kind. The place was just as expected, kitchen was fully equipped, everything was clean - and beautiful views. You can hear the neighbors pretty clear upstairs - but you can’t do much about that - plus it was disclosed in the listing. So overall I give 5 stars to Julia and Simon because THEY were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING - super responsive, I will definitely be returning ❤️ p.s. my bro forgot his wallet in the bnb after we checked out and there was absolutely no issue going back to find it - they are a delightful couple.

I had a wonderful stay and a wait to come back ! The place was very cute and quaint, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking — the views alone made it worth the trip. The location was perfect, close to everything I wanted to explore. Being able to soak in the hot tub and use the sauna after all day hiking was fabulous. My host was incredibly helpful and responsive, which made the experience even better. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area

I can not say enough about this beautiful little gem in the woods! It was so well decorated and all the little thoughtful additions, like a bag of local coffee and heated bed covers were just perfect and exactly what I needed for this get away to reconnect with myself and nature. I barely left the condo, because the view was so spectacular and how cozy the home felt! I was visited by a bunch of different birds on the cute patio where I painted a few of them as I sipped coffee and just listened to the breeze ruffle the leaves or rain shower that softly fell! Definitely hope to return very soon!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and had a wonderful time! The condo was in a great location, close to restaurants and stores. The back porch was by far my favorite part of the house. We can’t wait to visit again.

This is my third stay at Hunter’s Airbnb and I’ve really enjoyed each trip! The condo is spotlessly clean and very airy, and has a stunning view out the large front windows. It’s well set up, with a surprising amount of room for stashing your stuff. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, and I loved taking walks there. There are also lots of hiking trails very close by, although a few are currently still closed due to damage from Helene. The internet is very fast and dependable, which is not always the case at Beech Mountain. I’ve used my stays as a writing retreat and always get a shocking amount done, while soaking in the lovely atmosphere. I will definitely be back!
