The cottage is lovely - simple, tranquil, light and airy, perfectly equipped and very convenient for great walking on Dartmoor, Hembury woods, and shopping/ exploring Ashburton, Buckfast Abbey and Totnes, with the sea not far too. Judy, her family and all the dogs and cats are so welcoming, kind and charming, and the woods, land and the beautiful wild garden make this a very special and magical place. Many thanks.

A much-appreciated return visit. Spacious, well appointed, clutter-free accommodation on one level. Very peaceful, leafy surroundings. Friendly, helpful hosts and our dog was happy too!

This studio apartment is just as charming in person as it is in the pictures. Polly the owner is super responsive and supporting and everything is spotlessly clean and in good condition. Located right in the heart of Ashburton and walkable to antique shops, a local arts center with a good performance calendar, wonderful gourmet shops and restaurants with local foods, and only about an hour’s walk to hiking on the Dartmoor. I’d absolutely stay there again!!

We had a very relaxing 5 nights at The Barn, which was in a beautiful location with lovely outdoor spaces to enjoy the fantastic views from the property. The Barn was very clean and comfortable and Serena and Mark were very friendly and welcoming, and whilst living adjacent to the property, gave us privacy. Communication was good and they provided plenty of local guide books and information, as well as local recommendations. Ashburton is a lovely small town and has plenty to offer with a great variety of eateries and shops and was only a 20 min walk from the property. We also explored Salcombe and enjoyed walking on Dartmoor. Definitely a place we'd like to return to.
