Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in Charlottesville

I didn’t actually check into this condo. I’m leaving a review because Airbnb and Massanutten worked together well to assist me with my cancelation. Situations like that can get sticky, but they did a great job and I felt like Massanutten deserved the 5 star review.

It was really great for our family to get away for a few days over Thanksgiving! The property is beautiful and peaceful, and the suite was cozy. Overall we enjoyed the flexibility of having a few different rooms, being able to cook (as much as we needed/wanted to), and the fact that the earth room doesn't have windows allowed us to sleep in late. As far as amenities, the tub pretty amazing. I also really enjoyed peeking at some of the crafting books on the bookshelves - the cowgirl room in particular has a workshop feel that I enjoyed! Really grateful we were able to go on this trip - thank you!

It was exactly what we needed.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Massanutten. The surroundings were nice and clean. The condo we rented from Brenda was spacious, clean and felt like home. We had a 2 bedroom/2bath condo with fireplace, LVP flooring, sectional sofa and balcony with a great views of the mountains and golf course. Everything we need to make meals was available in the condo and grocery stores were just a 10 min drive away. We purchased tickets for the water park and adventure park which had lots to do. We will definitely plan to go back again during the summer months.

Jim was a great host! Our condo was amazing and we had such a great time! Check in and check out was easy and Jim answered quickly with any questions we had!!

The cabin was wonderful! Very clean, lots of space, and great location. We can't wait to go back and enjoy everything the resort has to offer. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay in the heart of the resort! We did not realize when booking that we’d be staying in the main lodge, but parking & access was easy and it was very quiet and relaxing. The best part was being so close to all of the restaurants and skiing!

Great place and responsive host.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gregory's place! We were walking distance from the pool, which was great. We were traveling with our toddler daughter, and the condo had everything we needed in terms of space, kitchen, bathtub, etc. We brought a clip-on high chair and pack n play. The only note I'll add for others' awareness is that check in took a while. We arrived on a Saturday around 5 p.m. and the lines were very long. We were also originally in the North lobby until we realized lines were shorter and I believe check in for this condo was only available in the South lobby anyway. This is not to take away from the beautiful stay we had, but I know it can be helpful to know for planning, especially when traveling with kids!

The place was absolutely gorgeous and the apartment was very nice. We had an issue at check-in because the instructions stated to go to the South Lobby for a Saturday check-in, but it was closed and we had to go to the North Lobby. Please update the instructions.

We love Massanutten Resort and we got a better deal using Horace and Air bnb than the sale special offered at the resort!

When you read reviews that the host is amazing and house exceeds expectations, you tend to set yours pretty high. Even with that preset in place, everything was better than we could have hoped. Billy is 100% A++ with communicating. The house was immaculate and had even more features than described. Well worth the prices we paid. Super easy to check in and out. If we need to Airbnb again in the area we would be disappointed if his house was not available. Thanks for making our weekend extra special.

We could not have been happier with this property! The location was perfect and the view is spectacular! The house was clean, quiet and had everything we needed during our stay. The host is responsive and easy to work with. We have stayed at several properties on Wintergreen over the years and this one is definitely the best! And again, the view, especially sunrise and sunset, is amazing!

We had an amazing weekend at Soma Stays! The hot tub, cold plunge and sauna were relaxing and perfect for the weekend. We also enjoyed the table tennis and pool table. It rained the majority of the weekend, but we had plenty to do and keep us entertained at Soma Stays! The “Speak Easy” vibe in the lower level was amazing and the decor of the entire home was comfortable, unique and exquisite! Highly recommend!

We had a lovely and peaceful stay. In town for a family funeral and it was the perfect getaway location to rest and relax amongst everything. Heather was very kind and understanding of the situation. The home was excellent and very relaxing.

Great house with 1920s charm and updated amenities. Quiet and safe neighborhood. The kitchen was fairly well stocked for cooking in. Big, beautiful fenced in yard for kids or dogs. Highly recommend!

This was a wonderful and comfortable place to stay. It was very convenient for visiting Shenandoah National Park.
