Sam and Katy were wonderful hosts leaving nothing to be desired. Our stay was very comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and the surroundings serene and beautiful. We rode our bikes around and saw a bit of wildlife. The pool was a dream, and so were the accommodations. We made use of the outdoor shower more than once! The large deck outside our door, furnished with cushiony furniture, overlooks the pool and the lovely backyard--a perfect spot for morning coffee. The king size bed and linens made for a very comfy night's sleep, and the full bathroom was equipped with plush bath towels. There were even pool towels, beach towels, chairs, umbrella and more for our use. There was wine in the wine fridge, coffee & Keurig, snacks and a sweet kitchenette for our use. This place is beautifully decorated, tastefully furnished, and amply appointed. We were a short drive from the beaches, fine dining and so many other attractions--the location is ideal. I highly recommend a stay here!

5-star all the way! This review could be pages long on all the great things to say about the Sit N' Duck. Both Mary and Larry are kind, friendly, and gracious hosts. We especially liked the very short walk to the ocean, the use of the Blackstone grill, the kitchenette with coffee maker, electric skillet, and refrigerator; the fluffy towels, the outdoor sitting areas, the comfortable bed, and hospitality...great suggestions on things to do and places to eat. Mary and Larry gave us complete privacy, but were available when needed. It was fun to share a few stories as we headed out to the beach. Other great features: parking availability, beach chairs and umbrella, small cooler (we used a lot), kitchen supplies, and absolutely squeaky-clean everything! Mary has thought of all the little details to make a perfect stay. Thank you so much Mary and Larry, can't wait to come back!

If you are looking for a great place to stay in the outer banks (Duck) as the perfect central location to do anything and everything with all of the comforts of home, amenities for all activities, and a great place to come “home” to after long days of exploring and activities this is IT! Jessica was a great host and has provided everything needed for a comfy stay including everything you need for a day at the beach, a good nights sleep, morning coffee any way you like it, as well as the small touches like quality TP. We were no more than 20 minutes away from anything we wanted to do from Nags head (Jennette’s Pier) to the beginning of the 4x4 beach drive in Corolla. In our short weekend stay we visited the Pier, the largest sand dunes on the east coast, saw alligator, bear and bald eagle (among other wildlife) on the refuges , a day on the beach in Corova seeing the wild horses and great walkable restaurants after seeing deer outside the door. Great place! Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I had a great time here! Very peaceful and quiet and an easy drive to restaurants and the beach. Super close to Jockey Ridge State Park. The bed was very comfortable and the space was great for two.

Friendly and super communicative host, very pretty place in a very nice area, super clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again but note to parents of toddlers, it isn’t super child friendly. There are lots of steps and lots of sharp corners. Wonderful place for a couple looking to get away for a few nights!

This place is a GEM! The apartment was pristine. Decor was cute and offered a relaxing vibe. We loved the black out shades option. Top to bottom I can’t say enough. Rachel had every thing you can imagine you may need, down to a sewing kit. She thought of it all. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. The area was exceptionally quiet but we rode our bikes daily about 15-20 min up to Duck to local restaurants and shops. The back road will take you to the walking/bike trail and keep you off the Main Street. The beach is literally a one min drive to the parking area, which we loved having access to the private entrance. I also genuinely loved the soaps and toiletry samples. We’d stay again in a heartbeat.

We had a lovely week at Sarah and Rob’s KDH house! It’s a great location so near the beautiful Bay Area where you can walk down and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. So close to the beach too. Loved the private local beach pass! 💖

Definitely the best place to stay. We did a short friend’s trip at the last minute and the host was flexible and responsive to a last minute request to stay there. The place is immaculate, cozy and tastefully decorated. It is all on one floor with great accessibility if one has limited mobility. Well thought out design with the right amount of amenities. There is a private front patio for outside meals, games, etc as desired. I highly recommend this place and will plan to stay there anytime I am in the area. The peaceful and quiet setting rejuvenated us all. We all were so grateful we stayed at this place.

My family and I stayed at woods and waves mid May 2025. The landscape and pool looked better in person than online. The apartment was extremely clean and comfortable. The host Christy and Thomas were very friendly and welcoming. They even heated the pool for our little baby since he doesn’t like the cold water. I would absolutely come back I wish we stayed longer than just a weekend.

I loved my time here!! I got to meet the host, Yana, and she was so incredibly kind and was quick to offer any help. Check in was super convenient, apartment is very private, and the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful but also only a 5 min walk to grocery stores like Publix and super close to many restaurants and activities. Beach access is great as well—within walking/biking distance! Apartment has all the amenities you need. This was my first solo overnight trip and I couldn’t have felt more comfortable. Despite only staying for one night, I had an amazing time and will definitely consider staying here in the future.

Tara’s place worked perfectly for our family (two adults, two young kids) and honestly restored my faith in AirBnBs. You can tell she really puts effort into making it an awesome place. It was kid friendly - spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated without being fussy. The appliances are all brand new, the bed and linens are super comfortable, there’s great water pressure in the shower, the kitchen is well stocked, and the washer/dryer was so helpful. It’s super centrally located with a ton to do in the area, and it’s easily walkable to the beach. (Though there’s no real ocean view, if that’s your thing.) It was our first time in the Outer Banks and we’d probably choose a quieter town in the future but if we were to come back to KDH rebooking here would be top of our list.

We absolutely loved our stay at this condo! It was very clean and the space was perfect for our family! The kitchen was updated and had all of the essentials. The balcony had a perfect view of the ocean! It was beautiful and I enjoyed drinking my coffee as well as watching the sunrise each morning! The condo was in a great location and central to everywhere we wanted to go at OBX! Katie was very responsive and helpful. We absolutely loved it and we may stay here again in the future!! 😊

We had a great stay. The house was extremely nice and very clean. Comfortable area that was easy to get to local attractions. We plan on returning in the future. She was very nice to deal with and made sure everything was as it should be.

The home was clean and instructions were very easy to follow. Since we were looking for a peaceful location on this trip, it fit the bill. The view was worth the cost. We knew there would be others around, as it was described accurately and clearly as a condo community. Supplies were very sufficient for us, and the owners were responsive. Enjoyed this trip!

Christina was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. She provided thoughtful touches like complimentary snacks and water, which was such a nice surprise after traveling. The amenities were fantastic - the hot tub and outdoor shower were absolute highlights that made the experience feel luxurious and relaxing. The location couldn’t be better - it truly is a 3-minute walk to the beach as advertised, and we loved being able to stroll to nearby restaurants without needing a car. Everything felt so convenient and walkable. The combination of Christina’s wonderful hospitality, great amenities, and an unbeatable location made this stay memorable. We cannot say enough great things about our stay! Believe all of the amazing reviews— there is definitely a reason Pat and Chuck have so many! Pat was extremely welcoming and began communicating prior to our stay. She was prompt and was waiting for us when we pulled in. Chuck was just as friendly and so easy to sit and have conversations with. They welcomed you in with open arms. The place was so clean and smelled wonderful! It may not be the biggest of spaces, but it was perfect for two and Pat literally thought of EVERYTHING you could need during your stay. Forgot your toothpaste? She’s got it. Forgot your sunscreen? She’s got it. Need a beach chair or extra towel? She’s got those too! Need a snack? There’s plenty and a couple drinks also! Looking for recommendations of things to do, places to eat, etc? She’s got folders with everything for you to look through. We cannot wait to visit again! Hands down the best Airbnb experience we have ever had. Thanks again Pat & Chuck!!

The location of this Airbnb was perfect and Gia the host provided ample recommendations and helpful information making our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. The accommodations were just like the pictures, very clean, and the hot tub was amazing. Would love to stay here again on our next visit to OBX.

The view over the water from the deck was amazing on the non-rainy days! The place was easy to find after our first attempt (which was at night during the rain). The second bedroom was a bit small but since it was only needed for sleeping, it was ok. It was quiet and peaceful and the people we saw occasionally were very friendly. The location is great, equally spaced between downtown Manteo and Nags Head. We wish we could have spent more time there aside from the conference we were attending.

Me and my partner had an amazing stay at Rhiana’s home. She was very responsive, attentive, and well mannered when it came to communication. The home was spotless and looks exactly like the pictures that match the description of what she listed. Staying here I felt very at home , and enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. I would definitely stay here again ! 10/10.

House was pristine! Excellent set up for the space. Plenty of room for our party of four. Had all the things you would need for vacation. Hot tub was fabulous close to all the things you could possibly want to do. The kids really appreciated the bikes. This is a split unit, but it feels very private. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!!
