Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Downers Grove

Beautiful view! The house was cute and clean and very comfortable. The pictures don’t do it justice! Also, the Fox River Trail is right out the back door. It’s great for walking, biking or running along the river.

Korey’s place was the perfect location for our stay. It was quiet and comfy and had absolutely great light for reading. Korey’s place is in a lovely neighborhood great for walking! Walkable to downtown Villa Park and very short drive to Modern Plate in Elmhurst. Wonderful restaurant mentioned in the New York Times! Easy access to the city. Park in Elmhurst and take the train or the El from Oak Park. I would definitely book Korey’s place again.

Juan was not only a great communicator but his home was beautiful and centrally located. If ever in the Chicago/Burbank area would definitely love to rent.

Thomas was the perfect host. Great communication and the place had a ton of very comfortable beds. It's the PERFECT place for a bridal party to do hair and makeup. LOTS of natural light and a huge island made it perfect for our girls to get ready. Plenty of seating and a great backyard and hot tub. It was great that there was so much parking, too! Thank you so much for hosting us!!

The house was very clean, easy to find, and lots of nearby parks. The beds and sofa were very comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with plates, pots, and silverware. Maggie was responsive and allowed us late check-out :)

Stayed here the night before my wedding with my siblings who stayed the night of the wedding. We hosted our getting ready portion here for the morning of the wedding and Olinka and Daniel were gracious enough to allow us to stay in their beautiful home. Made for gorgeous pictures and a comfortable stay both nights. Thank you!!

My group of friends booked Erik & Cindy’s place to attend a local house concert. Tucked in a cozy neighborhood with their background touching the river… serene and peaceful ☮️ Sleeping 😴 accommodations for our group of 5 was perfect! Master bed round for a couple, room with bunkers for 2 single females and a pull out couch for our male friend. Erik and Cindy were greatly responsive and ensured we had everything we needed for an enjoyable visit! Only wish our house concert 🎶 didn’t end so late so we could have enjoyed a pit fire 🔥 by the river! Next time! Would highly recommend booking this accommodation!!!!! 🐝🌈☮️🙏

Safe and quiet location with easy access to various business and restaurants in very close proximity! Spacious and bright rooms that can literally sleep 8, making it especially spacious for 4 of us. All amenities listed in the ad are functional and easy to use. Plenty of parking spaces for up to 3 cars, a big plus in the Chicago area. Hosts are fantastic for providing all needed services without interfering privacy! We felt like at home!!! Great organic cup coffee is a huge plus to start the morning with! Extremely kids friendly with so many toys, games, and books offered, together with a fancy bunker bed set! Definitely our first choice whenever we visit Chicago!

We really enjoyed our stay here! Perfect for two people. This place is really cute and unique. Love the decor and seeing all the cool art projects. This place was within a couple miles of all the places we wanted to see, especially Soldier Field, so a Uber/taxi ride was cheap and very convenient. Super cute neighborhood too with beautiful row houses both modern and original. It is a nice quiet neighborhood as well and we felt very safe! We would recommend the Iklektik/Blue Jay house to anyone visiting Chicago that wants a comfortable and cozy experience!

My experience with Paul was the best experience I have had booking with Air B and B. His communication was friendly and prompt. He answered all my questions before booking. Upon arriving, his check-in instructions were extremely easy and he explained things throughly. Entering the home was exactly as his pictures showed. Everything was clean and organized. He checked in shortly after our check-in time to make sure everything was up to par and asked if we needed anything. The home was nestled in a residential neighborhood and it was quiet, peaceful and safe. The beds were extremely comfortable which is always a plus when on vacation! I asked him for a couple recommended grocery stores that were close and he gave me great suggestions. All his amenities allowed us to cook at home and enjoy meals as a family. Checkout was super easy. We will defiantly reach out to Paul again when we make it back to Chicago. If I could give more than 5 stars I defiantly would! Highly recommended!

We had the absolute best experience staying at Eric’s place in Ukrainian Village. The parking was a huge plus, it was walkable and felt so safe and charming! The space was stunning and matched the listing perfectly. Will definitely be staying here next time we come to Chicago!

We stayed on the third floor of the complex and enjoyed Matthew's attention to detail. He gave a lot of thought to all components of his property.

Jim was a fantastic host. Very responsive and timely in his communications and support for our needs during our stay in their place. Their home was comfortable and well appointed with additional amenities you don't often see in AirBnB spaces, like N'espresso appliances and supplies. We would definitely consider repeat visits! This place was amazing!! Felt right at home as soon as we got there. The neighborhood is very quiet and chill, there’s a ton of great mexican food/stores, and just a couple blocks from the pink line and bus stop. Great home base just outside of the chaos of downtown but easy to get anywhere you wanna go! The place itself was comfortable and felt very roomy. Only thing is there are some upstairs neighbors who you WILL hear walk, talk, breathe… but we didn’t have trouble dealing with it and still slept well. Plus they had two cute little doggies who came to say hi, which is a huge plus! Overall 10/10 would stay again and would always recommend to anyone visiting Chicago.

Excellent place to stay. Had to check in very late, and it was no issue. Had everything I needed for a quick stop over, and was leagues better than any hotel or motel in a 50 miles radius for the price. Would definitely stay here again .

This was our family's first time doing any sort of "camping" (we had a cabin, did not bring a tent, so it was technically "glamping") but it couldn't have been a better time. Sylvia and her team all worked together to make sure everyone had a great time--whether staying in tents, in campers, or in cabins. There were fun activities throughout each day, the community bathrooms were cleaned throughout the day and night, the pool was nice, all the amenities such as the playground/gaga pit, jump pad were photographed and described so we knew just what to pack. There was a phone number you could text if you needed more firewood delivered (even after hours) which was REALLY nice. My kids LOVED the little store most of all...lots of basics like foil/firewood/milk/butter/aspirin to buy at reasonable prices as well as really great collection of well-priced toys and gems the kids loved shopping for. It was easy to say yes! Overall, it was a wonderful time and my kids said they want to go again!

This place was amazing and it was just getting ready for the change of seasons so the outside continued to get beautiful each day we were there. We saw deer every day and staff was very responsive. You get everything in the idea of a rustic stay but with modernized touches. Highly recommend seeing it for yourself.

Absolutely loved staying at Sylvia's! The camper is very conveniently located within the park - close to all the amenities and activities! Easy to access, beautiful grounds and a very peaceful stay for my family and I.

Nico responded quickly with everything we asked of him. He has a nice home. The pool wasnt available for use but other than that it was good!

I can’t say enough about this peaceful and beautiful getaway. The home is gorgeous and the property is meticulously maintained. Deer visit several times a day and it is also a bird lovers dream! The hosts are so kind and responsive. I have had the absolute pleasure of staying here several times and it never disappoints.

Just what I wanted, a nice basic cabin to camp with my dogs. Lots of family activities and a great little dog park and paths to walk the dogs without disturbing other campers. Good bathrooms and showers. Firewood delivered to your camp site. I’ll be back whenever I need a little getaway 🙂.
