There will always be a friendly welcome at Cwt Blawd, a cosy and stylish retreat on the hillside, overlooking the Clwydian Range. The historic market town of Ruthin is a mile away and holds a wealth of history with it's castle, and beautiful buildings. Ruthin has numerous restaurants, pubs and take-aways (which includes deliveries). North Wales attractions are accessible by car with Snowdon and Zip World only 1 hr drive away. Walks and cycle paths are plentiful in the surrounding area.

The Studio is in the centre of one of Wales' most scenic villages at the foot of the Berwyn Mountains. It is a self-contained studio with a double bed or 2 singles, dining/sitting areas, kitchen and shower room. The Hand Hotel serves great food, best to book. Well placed for a long weekend of walking, cycling or visiting the Pontcysyllte World Heritage site, Llangollen with its heritage railway, Lake Vernwy, waterfalls and many more wonderful places. Martin & Helen are fabulous hosts. They responded quickly to any messages sent and have been welcoming and friendly. We stayed at their stunning airbnb for 4 nights and had a fantastic time. The views are absolutely stunning, they include The Great Orme, Little Orme, Sea views and Llandudno town. The outside area was perfect! Not overlooked and very peaceful. Accommodation was spotlessly clean, very comfy bed and the shower was amazing! The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. My friend and I are keen walkers and explored The Great Orme on the first day. This is doable from the accommodation if you have relatively good fitness. Town centre is approximately a 40 minute walk away but did see buses on the main road. The Penrhyn Arms is a 15 minute walk away and served wood-fired pizza in a great beer garden. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to do The Little Orme as it's very close by. Overall a fantastic place which we will surely return to. Thank you, Vicky & Alison

We had a lovely time there and would definitely recommend it—especially for families. It's a quiet place with beautiful scenery. The caravan is nice and exactly as described. There are plenty of games available to keep the kids entertained. Llangollen is also easy and quick to reach.

Beautifully appointed with everything you would need for a short break. We BBQed/cooked most nights - there was everything you could require for self catering. Lots of really lovely hikes within walking distance / a short drive. We all had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again. Thank you Zoe!

We stayed at Cordulas property for a family gathering for a 60th birthday. It was fantastic from start to end! The accommodation was stunning and exactly as described; super roomy, gorgeous outside space and comfy beds! Location was easy to find and lovely and private! Cordula was an incredible host - super responsive and also flexible and accommodating; she helped us get what we needed to sterilize bottles for our little one!! We had the best family weekend and already talked about booking again for next year! Amazing value for what you pay and would recommend 100%! Thankyou Cordula! Xx

What a lovely place. Not far from the main roads, but you feel completely cut off from the pressures of life. Peaceful! Having the living area upstairs gives you spectacular views across the vale and up on to the Clwydian range. We were busy here there and everywhere this weekend (paddle boarding in Snowdonia, the skate park in Denbigh and walking the castle walls), but next time we plan to make full use of the garden. The house and scenery are stunning. Barn converted to high specification and great location for walks both locally and accessing Snowdonia National Park not too far away. Paul is a great host and communication no problem. There are works on the driveway but doesn't interfere at all with access and when it is completed will only serve to make this place an even better place to spend a complete chillout break. We all loved the stay and wouldn't hesitate to return at some point in the future. :-)

Had a wonderful stay at Kirstie’s place. Mill cottage had everything to make a truely comfortable and enjoyable stay. Little touches such as a welcome basket with pressecco, crisps and chocolates and a basket of things we may have forgotten in the bathroom. Beautifully decorated and very cosy, all you would want for a weekend break. Kirstie was responsive and a very good host.
