Cabin holiday rentals in Ennis

My wife and I enjoy making weekend trips to Broken Bow. Not so much for Broken Bow, but because the cabin, woods, and mountains are fun. But it is a 3 hour drive, 6 hours round trip. We decided to try this out because it was an hour drive from Dallas. The cabin is very nice. It is very secluded. It is a nice, serene area surrounding by trees with a nice fishing pond out front. We did not fish, but we did watch a crane that swimming and flying in and out of the fishing pond. I worked during the day using very good and reliable WiFi. Our only issue was not being able to make the outdoor speakers work with our streaming device - and the host offered to help - but I just decided it wasn't that important and so I didn't reply to the offer to help. We will be back for sure. Very peaceful. And I really liked the proximity to Dallas. You could go to Lake Tawakoni - we did not. I have been before, but it was not the purpose of the trip. Will stay again and recommend to others.

Great place to have fun and relax

My husband and I had an amazing stay! Check-in was a seamless process and Jan was always quick to respond to any questions we had. The cabin is tastefully decorated, perfectly placed among trees and next to a flowing creek. We enjoyed hiking at Eagle Mountain Park (a quick drive away) and dinner in downtown Fort Worth. We both highly recommend if you need a place to stay in the Ft Worth area.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The place is beautiful, you can watch the sunrise over the lake while sipping your morning coffee. The house was well cared for and well stocked - I felt very welcome, it’s really obvious from how the place is set up that the hosts take pride in ensuring you have a great stay. We had the most amazing time at the cabin! The cabin was updated and had everything we needed. We loved the direct access to the lake and the hot tub. I would definitely recommend!

My family and I loved this place so much. It's basically a magical little retreat. We loved sitting on the porch or in the hot tub and listening to all the birds and frogs and crickets sing at night. We spotted so many cool birds from the porch during the day. Everything inside was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. This place was just such a gem, and so beyond peaceful. The hosts were lovely as well and very responsive when we had questions.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Everything was just as described. We had a great time going to antique stores during the day and coming back in the evening to relax. We enjoyed the hot tub and the chair swings. It was a perfect trip.. Thank you Justin.

The wife and pups really enjoyed our stay on the property feels so peaceful and relaxing, with plenty to do if you are outdoors type. Fishing and nature is abundant! Feels like you are off the grid , but town is only 15 minutes away for anything you will need.The cabin is built right into the property with a dock right outside the door and a boat as well.Really recommend checking this out if you like what you see.

This place was amazing a perfect fit!! Everything was immaculate, beautiful and just wonderful !!!! Kathy the host is, I guess probably the nicest most gracious Airbnb host i've ever experienced here on Airbnb. She was so quick to respond and so gracious to accommodate on everything. What a great little escape. Host was proactive in reaching out, provided great instructions, and I imagine is very responsive, but everything was just as described and perfect so we had no need to contact Andrew. House was just as pictured and is a nice little home. Seems bigger inside and the windows offer a nice view and great lighting. The location was amazing with close access to the river and a lot of open green space to play in around the house. We spent our days at the river kayaking and talking to the occasional passerby. Just beautiful and peaceful. The water was a little low so we were able to put our camping chairs on part of the dry riverbed and sit and listen to the birds. At night we sat by the fire pit (smaller pit located in the front yard) and watched all the deer grazing on the other side of the yard. It was a great space and we spent most of the time outdoors enjoying the surroundings. Will be coming back to this nice little retreat.

The cabin was very comfortable. We didn't cook, but the kitchen seemed well stocked. We couldn't find dish soap or a dishcloth, so the few items we used had to go in the dishwasher. I felt bad running it for so few items. We did make use of the chess set. That was nice. The location is beautiful and quiet. There were restaurants fairly close, so I was able to take a break from cooking. We enjoyed our stay.

Everything was amazing from the host to the room. Tricky navigating but that’s mostly on me not remembering the instructions. We only stayed one night but were left treats, instructions, and more.

My stay was perfect! Wonderful little cabin with beautiful surroundings. Very peaceful and quiet. The owner was very nice and the property was easy to find. The cabin was super clean and looked like the photos. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a Peaceful stay and enjoys nature. The ducks were very cute and the trees were beautiful :). I will definitely come back!

The home was clean, comfortable and felt homey. Great place to relax and spend quality time with family / friends.

Preston was a wonderful host. He always responded quickly and wanted to insure we had a great stay. The property is absolutely beautiful! Beautiful views of the lake and it is so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the spacious back porch and/or down by the water. We spent all of our time outside kayaking, paddle boating, fishing, or relaxing in the outdoor seating next to the lake. We purchased all of our groceries before arriving and all necessary cooking utensils were available to use in the kitchen. The gas grill and Keurig coffee maker were used daily during our stay. I highly recommend Preston’s place and we will definitely stay here again when we are in the area!

My stay was an extended stay between selling my house and moving into my new one. They were amazing through every step. Such a beautiful and quiet location to relax and enjoy. Highly recommend staying here

New, clean cabin on beautiful property! We were there for a wedding across the street and the location and proximity was worth it!

Everything was exactly as listed! We visited because our daughter was graduating from Baylor University and we wanted to find some place that was quiet and peaceful away from the University hustle and bustle community. It is a nice ride about 25 minutes away from the University. This was exactly the place that we were looking for! The pictures of the inside do not do it justice as it is more beautiful than that! Lexi and her husband have thought of everything that travelers would need, have clear instructions and also have it posted inside of the house. We didn't have time to go fishing or anything in the river but we did drive down to it and it is just as beautiful as described. We will definitely stay here again!

very peaceful getaway, bathroom was nice as well. mini fridge was a good thing for our cold ingredients. trails were nice to walk as well. will come back!
