The house has been restored in a period-appropriate style with wedge-sawn and hand-planed pine floors, a custom-built kitchen, hand-woven rush mats, linseed oil paint, and the joy of carpentry. The 19th-century feel meets modern comforts in a relaxed setting in the Småland highlands. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch or spend time in the spacious garden.

Cozy cottage right by the water

We rent out our summer cottage by Stensjön, about 10 km outside Nässjö. The cottage is located by Lake Nömmen and has its own dock and sandy beach. The cottage is perfect for a family or larger group as there are 6 beds. The cottage has a large living room with kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and washing machine. There's also a loft with a sofa and TV. On the property, there is a separate guest house with a double bed and a bunk bed (not winterized). Sauna is available in the garden for those who want it.

Here, as a guest, you sleep high up in the treetops and wake up to birdsong. Through the large windows, you can enjoy forest views as far as the eye can see. Here, you have the opportunity for maximum relaxation, but for those who want more activity, the accommodation is a good starting point for day trips.

You can choose to just be and enjoy nature or use it as your base when travelling around and visiting different events and places. There is room for 6 adults and 2 smaller children. For workers it is most comfortable for 3 people, then everyone gets their own room. The accommodation is about 25 minutes by car from Jönköping. Note that sheets and towels are not included in the rent, but can be rented for 250 sek per person. Pillows and duvets are available.

Kvarnstugan

In Kvarnstugan, which was built in 1840, you live in a house with its own character right next to the flowing water in the river. The house is on a slope and trees grow around it. The garden is a meadow and behind the house begins the forest. In the vicinity of the house, there are two ponds and 700 meters away is a lake. In the lake you can swim and fish. We have a small boat that you can rent per day, SEK 75. You have neighbors but at a proper distance.

Charge electric car (at a cost). In Sweden, you can drink tap water.

In absolute tranquility (only about 11 houses on a peninsula), located directly on the lake, with a sauna and infrared sauna with a lake view, swimming, fishing, walking in the nearby forest – no Swedish dreams go unfulfilled here. Many nearby getaways also want to be explored by car. But only if you can tear yourself away from the fantastic lake view!

Welcome to Svartarps Gård which is beautifully located surrounded by forest, meadows and water. The Småland nature invites for lovely walks and bike rides. Bikes to hire. The accommodation is located next to Lake Södra Vixen where both a jetty and barbecue area are available. Boat with motor is available for rental. If your own boat is included, there is a ramp for launching.

The accommodation consists of TWO CABINS, each about ca. 30 sqm, with 80 meters to the lake. Both are included in the rent! The cabins are located next to each other on the host´s garden, where also their residential house are located. You have free access to a little beach, bridgedeck, a boat, barbecue area and nice fishing to put the golden edge to your vacation.
