Everything was so friendly, tidy, and convenient. Everything was perfect. It was close to the station, but a bit far to haul the luggage, but it was nice that the surroundings were secluded and quiet. Host replies are not fast.

I don’t leave many reviews because most places are average but this was by far the best Airbnb my family has ever stayed at. Noriko and her son met us in person, showed us all around the apartment and how things worked and were very responsive throughout our stay. Noriko must be a professional interior designer. Everything about her apartment was perfect and quintessential Japanese design and style. There’s lots of space and can easily accommodate 6 (we only had 4). Noriko even gave us a welcome gift and a nice Japanese print we intend to frame at home If I was ever to move to Kyoto and wanted to buy and apartment I’d buy this one!

We had a wonderful stay in this very clean and comfortable home, which had everything we needed—whether we were relaxing inside or heading out to explore. After a week of travel, we especially appreciated having laundry facilities and helpful supplies on hand. The space felt roomy for the two of us, especially compared to other places we’ve stayed in Japan. May and Milan were very responsive, and the detailed instructions made it easy to use the Japanese appliances. The location was excellent, just a 10-15 minute walk to Nishiki Market, with plenty of great restaurants and cafes nearby. We’d love to return and would happily stay at May’s place again!

This is our second time to stay at Kumo Machiya and we loved it! Great location, and we really enjoy the opportunity to stay at a traditional row house, complete with a prayer corner and comfortable futons on the floor. Communication with our host was easy and prompt.

Reminded me of the first house I lived in in Japan: tatami floors, wooden fixtures, sliding doors... I felt like I was visiting a friend's grandmother's house! Must have been the smell of the wood. Spacious enough for a travel group to have private space as well as communal space. It's a bit of a hike from the train station but still walkable. Quaint, quiet residential neighborhood. Incredible value. Would definitely stay again.

Our family of five, which includes children ages 16, 14, and 8 years old, had a wonderful experience at Komori’s place. The accommodations were beautiful and very comfortable for all of us. The house is just about a ten minute walk from Kyoto station and Komori met us at the AirBnB himself to make sure we didn’t get lost. He had very clear instructions on how to use everything in the house and offered plenty of local recommendations. He made our visit to Kyoto special!

One of the best, if not the best, accommodations I've ever stayed in. Very nice ambience and more than enough space (there were three of us) Everything you need, such as shops or restaurants, is within walking distance and the area offers many beautiful places to walk. On the day of departure, we had misjudged the time of our train and the hotel staff were more than willing to help us get a taxi quickly to get to the station. Without this support, we would have lost a lot of money. Thank you very much again for this.

I would highly recommend this listing. The accommodation was clean and really had everything we needed. It was perfect. Plus, it's spacious, which is pretty rare in Kyoto. The host is very responsive and accommodating. Public transport easily accessible on foot.

Its a perfect little spot in a great bieghborhood! The hosts are lovely!!! Theres not much of a kitchen so eating out better from here. No living room either .. but lovely outdoor space .. fantastic shower!!! Quiet great air conditioning and close to everything !!! Hists are so great!!! We will definately return!!!!

Stop looking, this is the place you want. Perfect location from train station, family mart, local cuisine and even river (All within walking distance!) The home is well taken care of and is very cozy. Like all Japanese homes it is a bit smaller then they appear but it fit six with no problem. Thank you to our host for checking in on us and making our stay 10/10.

This is the "cheat" place to explore Kiyomizu Dera and Sannenzaka, just 1 minute from this place. the view are fantastic, the place is sparkling clean, and complete amenities. However, it is located uphill, so if you have large suitcase, its gonna be a cardio workout to push it. Bear in mind that there are no elevator in the unit and the highest floor is 3rd floor Overall it was a pleasant stay, the owner response are also quick. Recommended

Beautiful place. Lots of space for family of 5. Walking distance to the train station. Has all the basic amenities needed.

The Nozemi house was a really great experience! The hosts were very kind, easy going, and were responsive. The apartment itself was bigger than expected, and the walk to the JR line / Aeon Mall was shorter than expected (~12 minutes). The only recommendation would be to provide clear instructions for the washer / dryer use, and rice cooker use. Thank you!

Convenient location and within a 8 minute walk to Kyoto Station. Room appeared to have more space than the photos displayed but very comfortable for a family of 5. Check in/check out process was easy and as advised. If you’re looking for a place that is convenient, clean and budget friendly, then you’re in luck. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Kyoto!
