Holiday rentals with lake access in Hilo

Awesome stay at Hale Hamakua! We had a large group of us come from Oahu, Maui, and Kona to celebrate a 30th birthday! Plenty of beds, spacious kitchen, and scenic lanai. Drive to Hilo takes a bit (around 30 min one way) but very worth it for the seclusion and view. We would stay here again!

Great home for two families travelling together! Would recommend bringing sound machines for bedrooms, the neighborhood rooster likes to say good morning before sunrise.

We enjoyed our stay at Hawaii Life Rentals! Downtown Hilo was a short drive away and the place was quiet and peaceful. The 6 of us were comfortable in this rental and we also cooked a couple of meals during our stay here. Would recommend this place for families visiting Big Island

The home was advertised exactly as it was with no surprises. It was also clean and well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved the Jewel Box!! Beautifully decorated, I was wishing I could purchase a painting in the living room to take home! Secluded location and incredible views from the 3 levels in back. Everything we needed was available. I would love to return and would recommend it to friends who wanted to visit Volcano National Park and the east side of the Big Island.

A Tropical Paradise! Our stay at this Airbnb was nothing short of awesome! The soothing sound of the ocean, combined with the enchanting serenade of coqui frogs at night, created a blissed atmosphere that we absolutely loved. We enjoyed delightful meals on the lanai, grilling fresh mahi mahi and marlin, which made for unforgettable dining experiences. The beds were comfy, and the house was beautifully appointed, even featuring a Scrabble game for fun evenings. Perfect place to indulge in long, relaxing baths in the deep tub and the pristine sauna was a detaching retreat. All the furniture was cozy, making us feel right at home. The location is fantastic, with a general store just 10 minutes away in Orchiland. The yard was impeccably manicured, and we enjoyed cooking and grilling in this wonderful space. Our point of contact for the property was incredibly helpful, responsive, and professional, making our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, this is one of our best Airbnb experiences!

Recommend this place again. The upstairs bed was a little hard but so far everything was amazing.

Beautiful property and Jessica was a wonderful host. Our family loved the river and swimming hole and the ambience of the house was a perfect complement to the tropical rainforest surroundings. Thank you so much for sharing your home. We would love to return one day.

My stay at this Airbnb in Hilo was delightful! The condo was spotless and well-stocked, including laundry supplies—a nice perk, though the laundry itself was pricey (app payment made it easy). The landscaping was breathtaking, with bamboo, palm trees, and waterways featuring waterfalls, plus ducks and fish adding charm. The pool was clean, but the chairs were worn, and there were no lawn chairs or tables. Inside, the seating was outdated and uncomfortable, though the AC units kept it cool. I’d suggest updating the poolside and indoor furniture. Despite these minor issues, it was a memorable stay—I’d return!

This unit is in a great location for restaurants, shopping and morning runs. The condo was equipped with everything we needed including chairs, towels and a cooler for beach day. The beds were super comfortable too. There is also a great view of Mauna Kea when the clouds aren't completely engulfing the summit. I would definitely recommend Jenny's property to friends & family.
