There are good opportunities to hike in the forest, swim, pick mushrooms and berries, fish and cycle, just leave directly from the garden out on the nearest forest road. Lake and swimming are within 5 km, as well as a grocery store, train station, gas station and pizzeria within 5 km. On a peninsula of the famous Lake Helga in Småland, with a rich fish population, forests and an abundance of animals, we rent out a lake house directly on the lake. Horses and sheep graze on the property, which was once owned by Gustav Wasa. Dogs (max. 2) are welcome, at a cost of € 12 per dog/night. A boat (4.5 hp motor) can be hired for €50/day including fuel. You can also rent our ‘Guesthouse’ (see there) and ‘Brygghus’ (see there), both with lake view.

The horses and sheep graze directly behind the house, and you can enjoy this idyllic setting from the terrace and deck chairs in the garden. The animals are all tame and love to be petted :-).
