Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Isle of Portland

Dave and Emma are the perfect hosts. They were so accommodating of our needs and super flexible in helping us to prepare for our stay and celebration. The property is beautiful, it’s peaceful and you feel right at home. Our teenage son and family children loved the games room as a ‘den’ to escape to whilst we enjoyed sitting on the deck with food and drinks. Dave and Emma have thought of everything, if they don’t have it then you don’t need it. The kitchen amenities were just fantastic, everything was there, clean and easy to use. The mobile signal wasn’t great this weekend and broadband struggled a little, but being surrounded by our favourite people, it didn’t matter too much. We would love to stay with our families again to enjoy this beautiful property. Thank you Dave and Emma again, so so much!

My family and I had a wonderful stay, there was plenty to do for all ages. Very relaxing having swims and using the hot tub. Then preparing our meals in the well equipped kitchen. We ended each night with stories around the fire pit. Well worth a visit and would definitely love to visit again.

We had a lovely, peaceful stay at Kilpa’s place which is perfectly situated around farmland, with coastal walks, a pub and other amenities nearby. Her comms were brilliant throughout and she couldn’t have been more accommodating. I’d happily recommend her place to anyone looking for a great getaway in Dorset.

An absolutely beautiful home with outstanding facilities - our stay was perfect from start to finish. Gemma was incredibly helpful and attentive in the lead up. We couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Definitely recommend Sam’s beautiful house. Immaculately kept garden with hot tub and huge trampoline which kept the children busy. All rooms with clean and had everything that we needed. Beds very comfortable and bathrooms were clean and showers etc all in good order. Thank you!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Smugglers Cove Cottage in West Lulworth. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the charm and character of the cottage, beautifully maintained, with a cozy, traditional cottage and all the comforts of home inside. The blend of old-world charm and modern amenities was spot on. The cottage was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and clearly cared for with pride. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and the lounge area was perfect for relaxing after long walks on the coast. The cottage is just a short walk to Lulworth Cove and within easy access to Durdle Door. It made the perfect base for exploring the Jurassic Coast, and we loved having coastal walks, and there are lovely pubs right on our doorstep. Emma was very responsive and helpful. Bonus point for being dog-friendly, our dog was just as happy as we were, especially with the enclosed garden and nearby trails and the treats provided. We would absolutely stay there again.

A lovely, relaxing couple of nights stay. The Coach House has all you need, is warm and cosy and very comfortable. The beds are super comfy and the duvets really warm and cosy. The garden is very private and a lovely feature, and for anyone staying in warmer weather has everything you need to spend plenty of time outdoors. If you're looking to keep your steps up, try a walk round the lakes, lots of bird life, very interesting. The lighting system took a bit of getting used to but is very ambiant and well thought out. The kitchen has plenty of space so you can cook and chat. It would have been good if the oven had worked but we were told about this beforehand and provided with an airfryer so could work around this quite easily. The host was always quick to respond, kept in touch and made our stay very easy. I would recommend The Coach House for a very relaxing and comfortable stay. All the quirky little touches make The Coach House quite unique and we would definately return.

Anna's place is a beautiful. It is done up to a beautiful standard, and a great location to explore Weymouth, durdle door and Lulworth cove. Positives: - beautiful welcome pack on arrival - clean linen and towels - all instructions were easy to use - lovely spacious and airy - It has a spar right next door. - parking onsite - jacuzzi was nice Negatives -I believe Anna has new cleaners that day so kitchen and bathroom weren't 100% clean and bit musty. -the garden could do with a bit of maintenance - there is no stair gate for stairs worth noting for people with young kids. - no microwave (if needed) Overall it was a fab stay and we would definitely stay there again. Anna was quick to respond to my feedback and a superb host

The beach hut is a perfect retreat. It is beautifully kept and has a gorgeous private garden which goes right up to the water’s edge. It’s wonderfully located less than 5 minutes walk from the main Sandbanks beach and Rick Stein’s restaurant. The Studland chain ferry is also very close giving access to stunning Shell Bay and the wild National Trust beaches. Michele was very friendly & provided many thoughtful touches including her homemade lemon drizzle cake - sublime! I would love to return as it’s a perfect spot from which to explore this area or just to meditate on your bed with a sea view. Thanks Michele!

I stayed here whilst working in the area, unpredictable hours meant that I needed more flexibility than a hotel could offer. This is my first time using Airbnb and it won't be my last. Ruth offered fantastic accommodation, which ticked all of the boxes that I needed, the bedroom is superb with a huge comfy bed. Downstairs has everything you could need to be comfortable, including a log burner, which after a long, wet and stormy day was most welcome. The grounds at Crawthorne are immaculatey kept, with some chickens and sheep to keep young and old entertained. Ruth couldn't do enough for me, and it was a lovely feeling to come back after a long day at work to find the place had been thoroughly cleaned and a gresh set of bedding. I would definitely book here again. Top marks! Thank you for being such a great host!

Although I agree with some previous comments about some updating being needed it catered for my needs. The bedroom/lounge was comfortable and roomy. The shower had been just redone and well with plenty of hot water. The kitchen was well equipped. Parking within the pub carpark gave me peace of mind. Overall I had an enjoyable stay a stones throw from the famous Gold Hill. Daniel is a very friendly host and always went the extra mile with any request. Recommended.

We loved our stay on the bus. The bus was lots of fun, especially the driver’s seat and stairs. The setting was lovely and camping facilities were great (hot and clean showers). The farm shop over the road was great and plenty to do nearby. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at Rivendell Park. Both Natalie and snick were perfectly friendly and helpful. They have recently taken over the site and have lots of plans. We loved the relaxed and intimate nature of the site. We everyone felt trusted and safe. The facilities are great and set to get better. The flat was great with the pool eifht opposite. Which was super convenient.hl great place for children to meet and enjoy playing together, while the parents can relax a little. Great park. With a really friendly team. We will definitely be back. Absolutely loved our stay! The apartment was homely and peaceful and had everything we needed for a weekend away. Lucinda had also bought welcome snacks for us which were greatly appreciated! Would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay, was a last min surprise for my partner's birthday - and Sarah was a great host - very responsive, and had thought of all the little details. The bed was super comfy, the heater and the electric blanket made it a lovely, cosy space. We ordered breakfast as well which was delicious and really good value. It felt slightly on the pricey side for what it was but appreciate it is quite a unique offering in the area and we booked quite last minute. Sarah helped with recommendations for where to eat out and nothing was too much trouble for her. We drove into Swanage / the beachfront as I was heavily pregnant but the distance was walkable. There were lots of fun things to do in town, even off season. The guest book was testament to how many other people had stayed and loved it as well - thank you so much!

The shepherds hut was a lovely peaceful place to stay, it came equipped with everything we needed & was the Perfect break needed. Hot tub was lovely and bonus for the hut having its own bathroom. Decorated lovely nice & clean & overall great place to stay. Many thanks!

The lodge far exceeded our expectations, which were already high based on previous comments. It is beautifully presented, well equipped, and very welcoming. Emma was warm and responsive in her communications, and it was lovely to meet her during our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Annette’s cabin. It was exactly as we had hoped after seeing the photos. It is cute and charming and just the spot to relax in, and a great spot to explore the area from. Annette and Russ were very friendly and we couldn’t have asked for any more from them. We hope to be back some day to enjoy this beautiful spot again.

We stayed at Cedar Lodge (Oakwater Escapes) recently,Adam was a fantastic host very friendly and knowlegable on any questions we asked. The Lodge grounds had everything you need for a relaxing get away,hot tube is a good addition along with the open and well maintined nature areas. Ilminster is a freindly little town the surrounding area is beautiful,plenty of dog walks, a 20 mins walk to the George Inn where you will find freindly staff and definitley reccomend the steaks. A small drive away is the town which has a few shops, a chinesse and indian if you don't fancy cooking! Overall we will most definitely be back in the future. A*

The Potting Shed may be petite but is PERFECT & has absolutely everything you could need. All the products have a luxurious feel; the space is so comfortable & tastefully fitted. We slept really well here & enjoyed our breakfast alfresco. Sarah is a superb host & full of excellent advice - the provisions she left us were a wonderful touch ❤️ If you plan to have a bite at one of the local pubs, just make sure you book; we made a rookie mistake of just rocking up! The nearest local, The Wyndham Arms, which is only a short walk from the Airbnb is well worth a visit, especially if you’re into a bit of scrumpy! The surroundings are totally peaceful & relaxing - the chamomile pathway is a treat for both your feet & nose. A truly lovely getaway - thank you Sarah ~ Rich & Rose

We had a fantastic stay at the hideout! Everything was clean and well equipped. The hot tub was wonderful and we loved how peaceful it was. A great location to explore the jurassic coast. Jason was a great host as well!

Our stay at the hideout was excellent, it was a great location with lots to do around the new forest area, and Sarah’s recommendations were excellent, especially the farm shops and pubs nearby. The place itself was so peaceful and felt very private, with the hot tub and bbq making for a perfect evening. Also the sofa bed was super comfortable with a mattress topper. The local produce on arrival made it even more amazing, we couldn’t recommend it more
