Shodoshima, 30 seconds to the sea, you can see the sea from any room

This house is located on the quiet seaside of Shodoshima Town. It is a house built just to watch the sunset over the sea. Unfortunately, we have a lot of stairs on the terrace, so it's not barrier free. (I will do my best to help with your luggage, etc.) However, at the top of the high terrace, the calm and beautiful sea of Setouchi, sparkling with sunlight, and the changing faces of the crimson sunset await you every day. Please enjoy an extraordinary time and forget about the time. You enter the room by climbing the terrace stairs. It is not barrier free. Please be sure to have an adult accompany you when going up and down stairs with small children. Also, there are many stairs on rainy days, so it may be inconvenient. Also, the road in front of the inn is not paved. Please note that this may cause some inconvenience. There are many insects because there is a lot of nature around the house. Insects may enter when windows or doors are opened or closed. (Especially at night, insects gather in the light of the inn) We are very sorry, but please refrain from staying if you don't like insects.

This is a renovated Kyomachi house near Gojo-zaka. A 100-year-old Kyomachi house has been transformed into a guest house where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the good old days. It is a luxurious natural material renovation that uses diatomaceous earth with deodorizing and humidity regulating effects, and unpolluted materials such as hinoki cypress and cedar, with attention to detail in the finish. The whole ceiling is covered with cypress, and the pillars, frames, and baseboards are also made of cypress, creating a space filled with the comfort of real natural materials and the scent of cypress. It is located in the Kiyomizu-dera Temple area, about 6 minutes on foot from Exit 4 of Kiyomizu-Gojō Station on the Keihan Line, near Kiyomizu-dera Temple, one of Kyoto's most famous tourist destinations. You can enjoy the Irori, a traditional Japanese sunken fireplace, and the world's only egg-shaped sauna. The egg sauna is especially recommended, as it was created with a shape that allows heat to circulate naturally. This is all handmade (DIY)! Feel both the heat of the wood stove in the sauna and the creative heat of JP. You can also enjoy hot pots and grilled fish skewers in the hearth, which has been restored by DIY. Please bring all your own food, so please come after buying it at a nearby supermarket. The location is a region called "Kobo" in the foothills of Mimasaka City, Okayama Prefecture. Nishi-Awakura Village, which is becoming a popular topic as a village of local creation and migration, is just around the corner, so I think it would be interesting to stop by on the way.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.
