It provides animals food, water, cover, and places to raise young. Enjoy the wildlife, but never approach them. Please note: Lake Buchanan is NOT a constant level lake and the water level will fluctuate with rain or drought. The nearest boat ramp is at Burnet County Park, about 6.4 miles (11 minutes) from the house. It is free to access. The dock is most suitable for shallow-bottom fishing boats. There are many places to explore in the area! Guest reports 3/26: Regular nightcrawlers (not green) worked for sunfish and largemouth bass. Chicken liver caught catfish. The white bass were hitting artificial crank baits You will likely not see another person unless you go to nearby state parks or wineries or to town for antiquing. Canoe & gear provided!

The bunkhouse is a private guest suite...separate from house, with private entrance, it's own shady deck, lake view, and lots of private beach. This is a NON-SMOKING property. This means no smoking anywhere.. Pets are allowed ( dogs) if meet guidelines listed in "other details". I will consider allowing 1 perhaps 2 dogs, MAKE SURE you read additional info in "Other Details" below.. I also have another guestroom space in the house that is listed on Airbnb that sleeps 2

The swimming pool never closes. We rent another cabin and RV so it is possibly shared .
