Holiday rentals with lake access in Lake Palestine

Cindi was a wonderful host! We enjoyed our stay to the max. John also deserves 5 stars as he was just as great! There is so much space for our family. Big beautiful home. Enjoyed a wonderful Father’s Day weekend just hanging out and fishing at Palestine Lake. I loved it was secluded and the views were astonishing. We had a great time. The house was the perfect size for us. The view of the lake was very beautiful. Sandy was amazing to work with and answered all of our questions about the area and places to eat.

My family and I stayed here this past weekend and it was awesome! We stayed in the Mermaid Cabin and the view was amazing. It was really quiet and peaceful, and watching the sunset was so beautiful. The host was really nice and friendly to us. We had such a good time and we’re definitely coming back. I totally recommend this place if you want to relax and have fun with your family!

Fantastic stay at Sunset Shores with my family! We grew up on Lake Athens and knew the area well. This is such a beautiful lot and the home (and dock!!) have been spectacularly renovated. Plus, the hosts clearly use the space because it has everything you could possibly need. I always favor lived in AirBnBs for exactly that reason. We will be back. Thank you, Shane!

Absolutely incredible place! These folks have the gift of hospitality. Everything was beautifully curated and spotlessly clean. We wish we could have stayed longer and would love to go back! By far one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at.

Very well kept home and had everything you would need on your stay. Beau was very responsive and friendly to all our questions. House was right on the water in a very peacefully cove free of all the boat traffic. Kids had a blast on the kayaks and fishing off the dock. We will definitely come back if we get the chance. Highly recommend this place!

This place was absolute amazing!! Very cozy and relaxing makes you feel right at home 😊! Great communication!! Lots to do and making memories!!! Sitting around the campfire was so relaxing and waking up to the view of the lake was so relaxing! Neighbors were amazing and very friendly!!! Had everything you needed. Including a washer and dryer was a plus!!! We’ll be back to stay!!!

Always a peaceful stay here, with excellent fishing! The house itself is comfortable, but there are some maintenance things that have been left undone (broken back screen door, screening needs replacement on screened in porch, under microwave light needs replaced, etc). We know it's hard keeping up with a house though! Love this little place and just want it to stay nice!

Rented this place for my husband to get some quiet time to himself for the weeked. Rented last minute but Cyndi was very helpful and polite. There was an issue with the lock keycode not working but Cyndi answered our call promptly and had it fixed within a few minutes. Other than that the location and proximity to the water was great. He really enjoyed the stay!

We had a wonderful time and loved this spot so much! Kristi was amazing with any questions and the house was fully stocked with whatever we needed. Outside the lake was wonderful with kayaks and rafts to keep you busy for days. We will definitely be booking again. We enjoyed every minute of it!

I wish I didn't have a word limit, because this is the greatest AirBNB experience I've ever had. We were blown away - it so far exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect because you're 10 minutes from all the fun but you're far enough out that you feel safe, peaceful, and relaxed. The house is a dream, but the hosts and the property are what made it magical. Roland and his sweet wife are truly some of the kindest and most welcoming people I have ever encountered, I joked that I wished they could adopt us! And their property is a labor of love, built by Roland himself. Take quiet walks on the cobblestone paths and visit the cows and the fig trees, sip on coffee on the covered porch in the rocking chairs, or walk over to their little lake for a serene sunset. Truly I cannot say enough good things about this place. It has a piece of our hearts now. <3 And also, they were SO SWEET to our doggy who had just as great of a time here!!! :) Thank you Roland. We can't wait to come back.

Linnea’s place was perfect for what we needed and looking for. Very comfortable, had everything we needed, she was always available and quick to respond. Ready to go back.

Our family had a wonderful time at this lake house. Very clean and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. My only complaint would be there is not a dishwasher. Everything else was perfect. The neighbor dog that came to visit was a plus. Everyone loved playing with him very sweet and friendly. Great vibes at this location would definitely stay again!

Great place, good area, and good neighbors. The only question I had unanswered from reading the previous reviews was the fishing area and quality. I didn’t see much info and had to make an educated guess… although I’m sure I could have just as easily asked the owners. The fishing was great. Good dock and my son and I fished at day and night ( bring an underwater light) and we caught a lot. Crappie, sand and striped bass, and catfish. The Dock restaurant near by is really good. We enjoyed it and will look for this place first for the next trip.
