Monthly Rentals in Madrid

Surreal! This place is on a horse property near the mountains. It snowed while we were there and the horses playing with the white capped mountains under a starry sky?! OMG We made a fire and ate s’mores- that’s not just an advertisement! Barbara added a sink and small stove to an already well planned place.

My mom and I visited for some peace and quieting, escaping the bustle of city life in Chicago. Liz and husband were SOOOO welcoming and her cottage is exactly what we were looking for. About a 40 minute drive from Santa Fe, but well worth it for the views driving in and out. We were able to meet the equines and learn about the work Liz does and we are so amazed and happy people like her exist in this world. We were also spoiled with fresh baked muffins every morning of our stay - the strawberry ones were my personal favorite! Would not hesitate to recommend this lovely cottage to anyone visiting the Santa Fe area. Also, def recommend the Ojo Caliente spa. It’s a bit of a drive (about 1.5 hrs) but WELL worth it. The cottage in Cerrillos was private, cozy, great amenities…fresh water and cream for good strong coffee! The private yard off the bedroom is magical. Air conditioning was a fabulous plus! And Jesse was the perfect host with the most. Very responsive, kind and helpful. It was the perfect retreat.

Lucy was a great host and Madrid was beautiful. We loved our stay. Easy walk to everywhere and surrounded by galleries and shops. Highly recommend Lucy’s place!
