Our lovingly furnished country house is situated in a quiet location on the edge of a field, near our over 150-year-old Gulf farmhouse – ideal for couples or friends seeking peace and coziness. After a walk along the dike or the beach, you can end the evening in the cozy apartment or on the beautiful terrace overlooking the fields. The vast landscape and the fresh North Sea air make the stay feel extra special.

The vacation rental "Groote Kaat" is located on the Sommerpolderhof in the Krummhörn between Norden and Emden. The shrimp cutter port of Greetsiel can be reached in 10 minutes from here. The apartment is 75 m² and has a large bedroom with a double bed (1.80 x 2.00 m) and another bed (0.80 x 2.00 m). A private (fenced) garden area, adjacent to that of the neighboring vacation apartment, with a spacious terrace and sun loungers completes the offer.

The bedrooms, the shower room and the separate toilet are located in the rear part of the apartment and are separated from the living room by a hallway. The approx. 33 m² living room with kitchenette and dining table has a ceiling height of around 2.9 m. The cozy sofa corner is the ideal place to relax and a fireplace provides comfort.

The attic apartment with its 30 sqm is the perfect size to spend a few nice days for two or alone. The apartment is absolutely quiet and rural, on the outskirts in a cul-de-sac. In the bedroom there is a bed with the size 160 cm x 200 cm. A highlight is the shower, which is directly integrated into the bedroom. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. Emden, Aurich, Norddeich, Greetsiel... Everything is between approx. 10-20 minutes away by car.

The listed house was extensively renovated in 2020/21 with a lot of love. The tastefully furnished house has lost none of its charm and originality. Witnesses to its old age are the original parquet and plank floors in the living rooms and bedrooms and terrazzo floors in the kitchen. The property with its own jetty and boat dock is facing south. The large garden offers a built-in grill as well as a cozy place to relax in the hammock.
