Beachfront holiday rentals in Matagorda

We loved our stay at the beach house! It was a perfect location right across from the beach. Some of our party went fishing, while the rest of us stayed at the house and enjoyed the views. They had tons of beach stuff and fun games in the garage, so that was a bonus!

This was our second time visiting. Great location, clean home, amenities were as described and more. Also, great local beaches for kids to swim and fish.

My daughter and I enjoyed The Gem. We loved the home. The beach was very peaceful. We are hoping to make it an annual trip. My daughter and her friends enjoyed using the beach toys and board games. I was so happy I could bring my pups. This was the first vacation without my late husband and just my girl so having all the “extras” really helped me. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay.

This place is great! Really clean, loads of outside activities available. The access to the beach was perfect for my family. I would no doubt stay again!

We truly enjoyed our 8 night stay. The accommodation were very enjoyable and so close to the ocean with a private deck access. We did not need to haul our tent, chairs and other items out of the car to the water because the chairs on the deck were all we needed. Coffee was provided by our host and plenty of cooking utensils for us to cook our food from Captain Marks. Loved all the various decorations throughout the unit. Loved reading the notes from previous guests. We can’t wait to come back again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We had a really great stay at Ben’s place. It was very clean and well decorated; they had tons of games which was a very pleasant surprise for our kids. The water in Surfside is GROSS, but Ben’s place had a reverse osmosis tap in the kitchen that we were able to use for brushing our teeth, washing baby bottles, drinking, etc. which was great.

Home was just amazing! Rooms, beds and LOCATION was to next to none! Tom was a top host I’ve ever dealt with! 10 stars!!’

This is a great beach house, just a 2-minute walk from the beach. The view of the Gulf is amazing. Sitting on the porch with a good book and listening to the waves was one of the best parts of the stay. We were there for about 10 days, and by day 5, we were walking barefoot straight from the house to the beach. The house has a fenced yard, which a lot of homes in the area don’t. If you’ve got small kids or pets, that makes a big difference.

We had a great trip! Angelica was a wonderful host and very helpful. we had a small hiccup and she immediately took care of things!! we would definitely stay again!

Anna's place was a great spot for us to unwind after a busy holiday season. The condo was extremely comfortable, ambience wise and furniture wise. We've stayed on the west end of Galveston many times and understand how isolated it is, which is what we love about it. Anna's balcony provides a view of the beach that you don't get from too many places on the island. To address a few things from other reviews. The elevator is spotty (was out for 1 day), but it worked the majority of the time we were there. The amenities such as the restaurant/gift shop are not open year round. These items don't detract from the property at all, but wanted to make those looking aware. We're looking forward to our next visit!

Perfect peaceful spot right next to the water. Caught a lot of fish and Derrick was quick to answer whenever I had a question!

We had a great stay here! Very close to the beach and plenty of room for everyone. The amenities were great. The host was very responsive and helpful to our questions and requests.

We had a wonderful stay at Heavenly Haven. It was perfect for our family of grandparents, parents, and 3 little boys (ages 3, 3, 5). The condo had great views of the water, 5 minutes walk to the lovely pools or the beach. The condo was well equipped and provided plenty of beach equipment (wagon, chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, and more). Bring your own canopy. It was great having the elevator from the garage level to the condo. Suzie was very helpful and answered any questions promptly. It was a lovely family vacation with great memories of our stay at Heavenly Haven.

Eduardo was a gracious and very polite host, addressing any questions we have and providing any help we needed. The house is spacious and there were plenty of pots/pans, utensils, coffee makers (both regular and keurig), plenty of towels, beach towels, etc. We were pleased overall and the walk to the beach was about a couple minutes. Also, unobstructed view of the beach from the deck. Thank you again Eduardo!

Jennifer's condo is a hidden gem, well worth the drive to the South end of the island. It's very difficult to find an unobstructed view of the water on Galveston island without paying a hefty price or dealing with the distraction of traffic in front of you. But the unobstructed view of the bay from this patio and living/dining area is worth its weight in gold - and the rate fit nicely in my budget. We enjoyed the spectacular patio view of the water at every opportunity. The well-stocked coffee and tea bar was a nice treat with so many options we couldn't possibly try them all. Everything is beautifully appointed and well thought out from the kitchen to the game closet. The bedding is so comfortable and I love the soft colors and coastal decor that felt like we were living in a Nancy Meyers movie set. Jennifer did a great job of communicating from start to finish, proactively reaching out to ensure a smoothe check-in. I highly recommend this place and hope to return again and again.

The location of this unit couldn’t be better. You are so close to the beach club, where the pool is located, if that is something that you are wanting to buy the pass for and use. The porch views are gorgeous with the pond right and the ocean view. Perfect view to accompany your cup of coffee. Beds were comfortable and unit was clean. The elevator made “moving in” so easy. The only negative was the wet smell and the odor from the washing machine when you open it. It stopped me from using it for any of our items, but we were only there for the long weekend so didn’t have to use it. Ricardo said he would look into these items. Would rent again.

Steve is an amazing host. The house is clean, well-maintained, and offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. Steve is attentive and makes sure guests feel at home, offering great local tips and recommendations. If you’re looking for a relaxing beach getaway, Steve’s place is the perfect spot! We’ll be back soon!

The house looks like it is brand new with a very coastal vibe. The view and beach access are great. We like being out of congested areas and the location worked well for us, realizing that there will be more driving involved to get to attractions or Galveston. Russel was very responsive in answering a few questions that we had. Very nice accommodations!

Our stay was fabulous! The house is a short walk from the beach! The beach is ideal for families. We were able to sit in the beach while the kids played without worrying about crashing waves and deep water. We stayed from Sunday-Wednesday. The beach was not crowded at all! We also enjoyed fishing off of the pier! We went in the evenings and fishing was good! We did have to contact Michelle about the previous guests leaving trash downstairs. She took care of it quickly! Overall, our stay was very pleasant! The house was great and the kids can’t wait to go back again!

Thank you Susan for hosting us this weekend! My family and I loved the house it was super cozy. I celebrated my 23rd birthday there, and it definitely made it extra special and memorable.

Absolutely LOVED getting to stay here!! The location was so perfect. House to the beach, beach on the coast, house to amenities. Walking out to the beach everyday was perfect. Had a great time! There’s nothing I would complain about If you go, check out the Rainbow ice cream shop - delicious!!

My children and grandchildren and me, all loved Susy’s place. It was very clean, very close walk to the beach and very comfortable. All the beds, even the bunk beds, were comfortable. Susy was a great host, and answered every question quickly. This is definitely a great place to stay.

Perfect little house for our family. We loved the easy access to the beach. Cullen got back with us very quick with anything we needed. Would love to stay again.
