Apartment holiday rentals in Monte Testaccio

We spent 2 nights at Matteo's apartment when we arrived in Rome after a long transatlantic flight. Everything was perfect when we arrived and we were able to rest to recover quietly from the jet lag. We really enjoyed the recommendations of restaurants and things to do in Rome explained by Matteo. The area was quiet and we were only a 10min walk from a metro. We would recommend this listing!

We absolutely loved our stay! The neighborhood was fantastic - close to all the tourist sights and easy to get around via bus - but it also felt like we got a slice of real Roman life. Enjoyed the park/square across from the apartment and all of the meals we ate locally. The apartment itself felt really special. The decor was lovely and unique. We found the beds comfortable and the set up was great for our family of four. It was clean and well appointed. We’d absolutely stay here again next time we visit Rome.

Monica is super helpful, she responds to messages right away. The place is super clean and comes with everything you need to stay, it's close to markets, bars, restaurants, and 10/15min from the main attractions. GREAT, WE'LL COME MORE OFTEN 🤩

We stayed in this apartment for 9 days and absolutely loved it! Carlotta and Fabio were incredibly responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with. They supported us with everything we needed throughout our stay. The apartment itself was super cozy and felt just like home — very comfortable, spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and easy to reach. It had everything we could possibly need. The location was also perfect — central and well connected, making it easy to get anywhere. Check-in with Easy Access was smooth and effortless. We’ll definitely be staying here again on our next trip!

We had a fantastic stay at this apartment in Rome! The location is absolutely perfect, just a few minutes walk from the train and metro stations, which made getting around super easy. There’s a grocery store right across the road and plenty of restaurants and takeaways nearby. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the two air conditioners were a lifesaver during the hot days - truly saved our holiday! 😁 A huge thank you to Carola and Daniele, who were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We had a wonderful time at this airbnb. Francesca gave us a very warm welcome and made sure we were comfortable. The apartment is very spacious, well decorated, well insulated and well equipped. There are wall-mounted air conditioning units in each room, which we loved. We enjoyed the back terrace. We were able to easily visit Rome thanks to the metro station which is a 10-minute walk away.

Anna Lucia’s place was honestly one of the cleanest Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in — spotless and super well-maintained. She was quick to respond and had clearly thought through every detail we might need. The apartment is perfect for families with kids, located in a quiet area with a supermarket just steps away. Everything about the stay was smooth and thoughtful. Highly recommended!

The apartment is beautifully decorated in an antique style – everything was very clean, lovingly prepared and the courtyard is a real highlight. The location is great: a little outside the very central city center, but super connected and only about 5 minutes' walk from Trastevere. There is also an excellent pizzeria right next door. The host was very friendly, always available and helpful – even with our late arrival, he patiently waited for us and was extremely flexible overall. We felt very comfortable and would come back any time!

We stayed a couple nights at Francesca’s. Quiet and peaceful area that is a bit of a walk from the centre of Rome but with regularly running trams 5 mins walk from the property. Place was clean and tidy and a perfect find for a short stay :)

Enjoyed our time at Rico's place. It's in a walkable neighborhood not far from the Vatican. The apartment is cozy, clean and comfortable. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great start in Rome.

Francesco has a wonderful place. It was very easy to get anywhere in the city from his apartment and was perfect for our family. There was even a small playground at the end of the street. Hope to stay here again next time we are in Rome!

Giulia’s place in Trastevere was such a charming last-minute find for my 48-hour trip to Rome. It felt like a true home—warm, cozy, and exactly as pictured. The snacks, toiletries, AC, and thoughtful touches made the stay even better. A few helpful notes: the Wi-Fi didn’t work the first day until I moved the plug. There were small flies(?) in the bathroom/loft—harmless but surprising. Water heater instructions were conflicting; I turned it off and didn’t have hot water later, so I’d recommend leaving it on. The hot water lasted about 5 minutes in the morning the second night but was fine the first. The door lock was tricky (turn key 3.5x, pull in, then push) and I needed help figuring it out—just a heads-up for travelers not used to European locks! Location was fantastic! Everything was walkable. Definitely check out Ciuffetti, a great handmade leather shop nearby. Overall, I’d DEFINITELY stay here again. Just sharing details I wish I’d known in advance.

#1 for my heat sensitive family is we think Gaia has the best AC in Roma! Such a beautiful apartment in a safe, convenient location. Some of our favorite meals in Italy were the ones we ate in this neighborhood. We were delayed and arrived at 9pm, Gaia was so patient and kind. We walked to enjoy a bite to eat and the best gelato at Fior di Luna a short walk away. Would give 10stars🌟 if possible!

Can’t get any more local than this! Really felt like a Roman staying here! Great area close to Termini and tram stops surrounded by coffee shops and restaurants with truly amazing food! We found ourselves spending more time in our neighbourhood rather than going more central! The apartment was so cute and had everything we needed! Amazing value for money!

Great stay in Rome! The place is very big and comfortable. Even has a small balcony for some relaxing breakfasts. Would definitely stay here again! Keep in mind that the place is in an ZTL zone, important if you are driving.

Alessandro and his family were incredibly kind and welcoming. The apartment was clean and well-cooled, which was a huge relief in the summer heat of Rome. There's also a swimming pool with a nice view from the apartment — a great bonus! The bus stop is just a one-minute walk away, making it very convenient to get around. Highly recommended!

Has a fantastic time a Guiseppe’s place! He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect! The accommodation was very comfortable and clean! It was perfect for our family! The location was great for accessing all of the main attractions in Rome and Guiseppe was so helpful in guiding us in the right direction to ensure we had a smooth visit! Everything was great! And we had read other reviews so know what the challenges may be and were prepared for a little noise from the neighbours. But that was no real issue. Just overall a fantastic stay!

I highly recommend staying here!! Walkable to so many landmarks, restaurants and markets. Spacious apartment with a pool that was super private which helped with the afternoon heat! Mark sends loads of wonderful local recommendations and always responded promptly to any messages I sent. Would definitely stay here again!
