In the middle of the forest, on a clearing, 3 km from the beautiful town of Gartow, lies our special retreat. If you are looking for peace and quiet in nature and value simplicity and goodness, this is the place. The old half-timbered building, a former stable, was renovated with high quality and sustainably with natural materials. Clay plaster on the walls and the wood-burning stove guarantee an excellent indoor climate, and the walk to the wood-fired sauna promises absolute relaxation!

From the apartment to the nearest swimming facility in Lake Schwerin, it takes 3 minutes on foot... to the castle you can reach on a beautiful shore path in 20 minutes and the city center is not much further. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful... there is a small forest within a 3-minute walk. The apartment is cozy and spacious (120 square meters)... there is also a second toilet (not pictured).You have a terrace and can barbecue in the garden. Heating/hot water are guaranteed.

The house is heated exclusively with wood-burning stoves, which provide a wonderful ambience, especially in the cold months. Welcome to the Gülitz country house on the old Elm in the middle of the wide Prignitz. The church square with our country house is located in a picturesque village surrounded by lots of nature. The mighty elm in front of the house has shaded the village green with the pear trees for about 800 years. With us, the visitor can just be and forget the big city. You can stroll through meadows and fields, bathe in the forest lake or just watch the storks on our barn.
