Cave holiday rentals in Northern Europe

What a pleasure to have stayed in Diego‘s wonderful and peaceful home surrounded by such a lovely neighbourhood. We loved the rustic flair of the place and appreciated the materials/elements/shapes/colours Diego embedded into this lovely cave. You can tell that Diego has a good eye for things. Diego is also an excellent host and gave us tips for hikes to particularly beautiful places and more. Since we visited lovely Scicli during Mai/June and experienced the garden in full bloom, it was such a soothing oasis - the special gem. The shower space, design and experience is incredible and comes with a view to the sky. It's the big little things that make it so special: the tableware in the kitchen, pictures placed, furniture telling stories from the past and the wonderful places created. The floor in the ground was so very special for us, since the kitchen floor merges into the stone. If someone happens to have the same preference, it’s highly recommended to walk the floor barefoote

Dimitra was an awesome host who was friendly and always happy to help with any questions that we had and with organizing transport to and from the property. The property was in an incredible location with views over the island and within walking distance to lots of local cafes and restaurants. The inside of the property was everything that was described and was very well kept. Overall it was an awesome stay!!

Great place that had amazing views next to the blue top church. Host was very helpful with recommendations. Only complaint would be the amount of traffic from people waiting to take photos near the Airbnb (above the private chained off area) but is to be expected with a place is such a great locations. Highly recommend this place and would love to come back next year!

Few words can do justice to Sabine's place. The view is gorgeous, the decoration is unbelievable, and the unique setting, a house in a "cave" makes this a place to visit. If you have time, ask the hosts Sabine and Seba to visit their "home" and you will be enchanted. A few words are not enough to describe the accommodation. The view is breathtaking, the accommodation/cellar and its decorations are unique. You will return from Sabine's delighted with your choice. In addition, dare to ask Sabine and Seba to show you their living space, a unique place for its location and art.

What an amazing place to stay in Matera! We absolutely loved our time at Francesco’s wonderful sassi apartment. It was stunning to stay in an actual sassi, and the atmosphere of the place was authentic as well as comfortable and beautiful style-wise. We loved the decor. The bed was comfortable and the huge bathtub in the spa area was heavenly. There are very good restaurants right by the apartment, including the one directly across the street. It was so nice having the patio right out front looking out on the incredible town of Matera. We had lunch and aperitivo out there and it was pretty heavenly. Francesco is a kind and responsive host, and we were so happy to stay at his wonderful place!

We had a wonderful stay at the Stone House. The view was absolutely beautiful and was lovely to be able to sit out and watch the sun set. Lovely walks from the house, views fron the top by the Church were fantastic. The stone house had everything we needed and was cool on the hotter days. Being animal lovers we very much enjoyed seeing the animals and how well they are cared for the whole team do an amazing job! We would love to return! Thank you very much Sandy!

Tolkien fan or not, you'll love this stay! Easy to find, in a beautiful part of the country and so close to such lovely countryside/activities. Loved the chicken visits! Used the smoker to bake a camembert - big recommend! Hot tub was a lovely addition and such a treat. Outdoor shower not in use but we didn't mind at all, we survived with the big sinks! Incredibly private - loved sitting in the sun in the garden and listening to the birds. Super comfy bed! Plenty of wood & firelighters. Nice treats supplied like beers/eggs/milk! :) We would love to return!

Staying at this place was so refreshing and relaxing. A 10/10 view combined with the beautiful design and the amazing hospitality of the host. I am recommending this place with all my confidence!

We had a lovely stay and Ricardo’s place was everything pictured. Very charming and a one of a kind experience!

It was a little gem in beautiful Scicli! Away from the centre, in a secluded little street where cars were not allowed. Beautiful scenery in front of us, peaceful and only 10 minutes walking from everything. The house was clean and very sweetly decorated. Chiara was a great host, answered to every question very quickly and gave us some useful information.

Rafa is hands-down one of the best posts I have experienced. His gracious hospitality was superb – demonstrated in remarkable attention to detail throughout the home, care to ensure everything was perfectly set for a smooth and restful welcome, and proactive local tips to make sure I had what I needed. RAFA was also exceptionally responsive and gave many local recommendations throughout my stay – even setting up some beautiful experiences on my behalf. His home is a unique mountain respite – perfectly demonstrated by the photographs and lovely in every way. Very grateful for the week I spent at LaRocca. 🙏🏽

Our first trip to Zakynthos was a perfect break from everyday life thanks to the fantastic villa. The plan to spend a week together with our two children (18 and 22), in which we share a lot of time together on this beautiful island away from mass tourism and yet everyone has enough freedom, was a success. Thanks to the good WiFi connection, we were able to work online without any problems. The hospitality and professionalism of Athina and her family are hard to beat. Both in the villa, as well as in the tavern and at the beach access, they have always managed to make us feel like very special guests. As guests of the villa, we were able to use the private beach access via the tavern and away from the day guests in the crystal clear water. Swimming and snorkeling in the sheltered bay with numerous freshwater springs and in the pool was a dream. In the village, you can get everything you need and have the choice of three taverns. We will come back!!

My family truly enjoyed our stay at Mas de Lluvia. The home itself is incredible and set so beautifully into the environment. We loved that it was peaceful and relaxing. My children enjoyed the home’s proximity to the river and were most content just hanging out at the house. Marissa is a welcoming, accommodating host. She had local products such as cheese, wine, and pastries waiting for us, which was so thoughtful. The Matarrana area is such a unique and part of Spain to explore and we feel grateful for our experience there!

White Occhio is a beautiful villa and is even more stunning than the photos. Antreas was the perfect host who was only a message away to organise cars, catamaran cruises, restaurant recommendations and more. He mad everything very easy and relaxed. The villa is just a 5 minute drive from Fira which acted like the perfect place to come back to after a day out and relax in the hot tub (which is a lot bigger than the photos show) and patio. Really sad to leave but look forward to visiting Santorini again!

For all those who are looking for a special lovingly furnished "cave accommodation" in nature where nothing is missing during the stay, a clear recommendation! We were there for 3 days and did a lot of activities (castle visits, canoe trips, wine tastings,...) and the children were very excited about living in a grotto. Many thanks to Carole & David for letting us use their "nest".

What can we say that others haven't? Our stay was wonderful. I wish we could give them 6 stars. The property and guest rooms are truly magical, and staying in this area of Provence was a treat. We feel lucky to have been able to stay in such an architecturally unique and special place. Both Philippe and Lien were gracious hosts and the accommodations were beautiful. The bedroom was comfortable and cool in the summer heat, and the surrounding grounds and pool/hot tub were majestic. Lien was kind enough to prepare us a wonderful breakfast each morning and provided us with a smattering of local treats like delicious cherries and local cheeses. We also spent a night watching a movie on the projector screen which was a highlight. The place was quiet, check in was easy (they welcomed us) and the directions to the home were easy. The only note I would make is that the home is in a quarry, so if you are sensitive to dust, that might be an issue. We hope to come back again! Merci!

Place was as advertised, very beautiful ocean view. Raffaele was communicative and helped organize a taxi to pick us from the airport and even was flexible when it came to a slightly later check out when our next destination had a later check in!

A Unique and Tranquil Getaway! Our stay in the cave was like a peaceful retreat, because it was private and quiet. The host was welcoming and provided all the necessary amenities and info, ensuring a comfortable stay. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind experience in a serene setting, I highly recommend this place!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The place was so unique and was in such a beautiful location. The washing machine was broken when we got there and Fabienne offered to wash our clothes for us! Halfway through our trip, this is exactly what we needed! Fabienne was so kind and welcoming. The location was also great—super close to yummy restaurants and central to all the castles in the area. Such a fun stay!

We highly recommend this unique and peaceful home. Matera is beautiful but crowded, and when we visited, quite hot. What a joy to come back after a long day to the cool quiet of Tiziana’s little stone home. Tiziana was very easy to communicate with, and check-in and check-out, performed by Tiziana’s kind and helpful parents, was pleasant, personal, and informative. Groceries nearby and restaurants and shops plentiful but be prepared to walk stairs. That’s part of the fun and uniqueness of Matera. Thank you for a marvelous stay Tiziana and family!

Accommodation as described, clean, spacious and very comfortable! We had a very good stay in the apartment and hope that we will have the opportunity to return there during our next visit to Lyon.
