One of two houses on the property (we live in the other) designed and built in 1920 as a summer residence for a local family. I love Bardstown and wanted my cottage to look and feel like what is best about the town- historical charm mixed with modern amenities. Clean, cozy and comfortable; it is a space that I hope you find enjoyable while visiting Bardstown.

The Ambleside Cottage offers full privacy for a single or a couple looking for a serene getaway surrounded by the beauty of the Appalachian mountains. This magical cabin is conveniently located for travelers, yet Ambleside feel like a remote retreat nestled in the woods above Elk Fork Creek. The Cottage is an adorable tiny house, offering 500 square feet of living space with a kitchenette, a sitting area, and a bathroom with a shower. The queen-size bed is upstairs in the sleeping loft.

You'll enjoy access through the back gate to the local park with a walking path around the lake, perfect for evening strolls!

If you are looking to experience lake life, look no further! Our Guest House sits on the beautiful 140 acre Bullock Pen Lake. It's a great place to relax, or enjoy kayaking, paddle boating, paddle boarding and fishing. We have one of the best views of the lake. The Guest House is fully renovated and decorated with relaxation in mind. It has everything you would need for your stay. After all, the lake is where your worries fade and memories are made! (The pool is now closed!)
