Cabin holiday rentals in Ohio River

We came on a bourbon quest (it was successful)and an end of the school year teacher retreat. The cabin was perfect for our plans. Cabin matched the pictures and descriptions perfectly. Very responsive hosts with very clear detailed instructions. We loved playing records and the back sitting area was so peaceful. Cabin is equipped with all the things to cook. Coffee setup was great! Due to a massive amount of rain we did not get to walk the trail but it looked awesome. Getting to the loft was no problem and the bed was so comfortable. Highly recommend!

Best rental we’ve found for a relaxing weekend getaway. Pictures don’t do it justice. The woods behind the house make it very secluded and relaxing. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at ’Tis So Sweet Cabin for our anniversary and absolutely loved it! The cabin was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared with everything we needed. The welcome guide made it easy to plan our time in the Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge area, with great suggestions on things to do and places to eat. It was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy a special getaway. Highly recommend!

The place is beautiful! Not too far from hocking hills state park. The host is very responsive and friendly! Only suggestion is to get there during daylight because we got lost, but it is easy to get back on track.

This Airbnb was an absolute gem! The location was unbeatable—close to everything we wanted to see and do, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. The space itself was beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we walked in. On top of all that, the price was perfect for the quality and location! If I had to mention one small drawback, it would be that the mattresses were a bit firm for our taste. That said, it certainly wouldn’t stop us from coming back. We had a wonderful experience overall and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at the Study! The glass walls gave us a direct view of nature but we could also use the curtains for privacy. We loved the modern kitchen, shower, and floors. I didn’t want to leave!

Very nice quiet and peaceful locale. If you’re looking to get away from everyday hustle and bustle, this place is for you. Wooded area with a peaceful stream meandering nearby. Next to state park with mountains, woods, hiking, and lots of breathtaking sightseeing.

I wish I could give this 100 stars. This oasis was exactly what we needed for a girls trip/reading retreat. Marty was responsive and so kind. He was quick to respond and walked us through the entire cabin and how to get inside. Not only did he leave us a welcome gift, he let us have free rein of the entire property. We are already planning our next getaway. If you had any hesitations on booking this cabin, don’t. You will not be disappointed at Serenity Acres!

Very nice and very clean. The beds were comfortable and we are very picky about beds. The kitchen was well stocked. We cooked a lot with the provided pots and pans. There is a crockpot also but we didn’t use it. I wish I had brought my griddle for cooking breakfast. Even though two bedrooms were both on the same floor the layout still provided a good amount of privacy. It is very spacious. Firewood was provided. We left a tip for that. We loved watching the tugboats push the barges down the river. Take some board games and enjoy your family. Thank you Tammy for being so helpful with the entire process! We feel we were in the best cabin in the area! If we come back there again we would stay in the exact same cabin.

Beautiful view! Very private & peaceful. Easy to get to & plenty of activities in the area. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again & looking forward to another trip there. The view from the deck was spectacular!

We really enjoyed our stay at Megan's cabin. It was clean and stocked with all the things you could possibly need. A very quiet location. We visited the Ark and the Creation Museum and it was a great location for both. We would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Such a beautiful little cabin in the most peaceful setting. The sounds of the birds and the cicadas in the forest were just magical, and we loved the morning visits from the birds, squirrels, and deer just outside the big picture window. The bird feeders are popular so make sure to fill them with the provided seed for your viewing entertainment. There was also a groundhog family that hung out in the back each day. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings and Bren so graciously provides the wood. The property is so pretty and I'm sure will be even more so as the flowers begin to bloom. The cabin has so many unique details inside and out. You will find surprises everywhere you look. We were still finding things up until we left. It's just adorable and clearly was built and decorated with nothing but love! So cozy and comfortable, we definitely want to go back. Being able to take our dog with us was a huge plus! Bren is a great host. So happy we found this place!

My little dog and I adored staying at the cabin. The farm setting was gorgeous! The cabin was modern yet quaint at the same time. It’s a little off the beaten path but that’s the point, isn’t it? It’s really just a few minutes south of the interstate, but it feels far removed from all that hustle and bustle. Even if you are just stopping for the night, this is an experience worth so much more than just a place to sleep. The farm animals are all friendly and it was a delight to see them. Kimberly responded to my questions within minutes, not that I had many. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

My friend and I stayed here for a night before going to a music festival. It was just what we needed! We enjoyed watching a movie in the hot tub and hanging out on the porch. Bring firewood! We would definitely stay again.

Absolutely stunning! We loved the decor of the cabin and the view! The cabin was a great getaway and the peaceful backdrop of nature was exactly what we needed! Linda was so helpful in making us feel at home! We will definitely be back!

Linda’s was perfect! We loved the house itself and the stocked pond! Beautiful views and her son, who lives across the street, was very easy to get in touch with. The house is pretty far away from grocery stores- a few Dollar Generals, so I would recommend stopping at a grocery store on the way to the house, or packing a cooler full of stuff. We had a wonderful time, and we will definitely be coming back.

I stayed here for just one night, but I wish I had booked it longer! The location is absolutely beautiful, right off the Ohio River with stunning views that made for such a peaceful and relaxing stay. You can tell the hosts really care about the experience they’re providing. The atmosphere was quiet and serene, perfect for a little getaway. I especially loved the outdoor area—it was the perfect spot to unwind and take in the river views. Communication with the host was smooth and friendly from start to finish.

Wonderful little lot that was very secluded and private while still being a reasonable driving distance to activities. Pier and fire pit offer serene natural environment with many ambient sounds and wildlife to watch and listen to. The house is perfectly small to comfortable fit two with all of the amenities needed to find yourself at home.

All the other glowing reviews are spot on. We especially enjoyed the constant calming sounds of the creek, while we were eating and relaxing, as well as when it was time to retire for the night. We also found the seating area outside the front entrance to be quite cozy, with the lights along the roof and the constant creek sounds adding to the vibe. Lucy is one of the rare hosts who takes the “breakfast” part of AirBnB seriously; we were very happy to have a weeks’ worth of breakfast goodies waiting for us upon arrival. As far as location, even though the feel is pretty rural and secluded, we were 15-20 minutes drive from many of the Roanoke locations we wanted to visit, and less than 5 minutes to various retail. One bit of advice to less-confident drivers: we ended up parking our car at the wide area at the top of the driveway, and walking the short distance down to the cabin, after negotiating the narrow drive a few times. We would happily return to Lucy’s cabin in the future!
