03- Abi's Arboreal Abode & Hammock Haven Tree-Yurt

KarenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We brought our 2 young grandsons to stay in the Abi treehouse yurt to "unplug" from all electronics, internet and cell phones for the weekend. Boys are ages 10 & 6 and absolutely loved staying in the treehouse yurt, playing yard games such as football, disc golf, cornhole, hillbilly golf, playing on the swings and walking on the trails and creek bed! They actually thought the "outhouse" was pretty cool too! The shower house offered hot showers and clean commodes. Their community kitchen for the guests to use has much to offer! Their 100 acre farm in the holler is a beautiful place to "unplug" from the world and relax by the creek. Knowing they have a landline to use for emergency purposes is great since there is NO cell phone signal in the holler. Nathan and Jessa are GREAT hosts who make sure their guests have everything they need for their stay.. Their dogs are friendly and loved walking the trails with us! Great place to stay and we will return in the future for sure!

04 - Yome Away From Home - Yurt Dome

ToriRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Another wonderful stay at the farm! We love continuing the tradition of now bringing our kids along with us to enjoy this beautiful holler. Our youngest loved saying good morning to the ducks and the chickens and playing in the creek. We utilized the community kitchen properly for the first time, and it was so wonderfully stocked and accessible! We’ll be back, I’m sure!

The Birdhouse is nestled on Sugar Mountain, NC

ZacharyRating, 5 stars16 months ago
10/10 stay, Morgan is extremely kind and responsive in her messages. Super easy check in and check out process. We stayed and skied three days at Sugar. We personally drove and parked to ski, but if it's a busy day and you are not wanting to be shuttled to your car it's a half mile walk to Sugar Mountain to ski. We loved how Morgan's place felt like home. We used the grill outside to make burgers and sat around the fire pit to eat. There is a beautiful view of the golf course from the porch and front door. Would 100% come back and stay again.

Three-story Blue Ridge Yurt getaway

JasonRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was my wife and I's first time away without kids in 20 years. It was the most relaxing stay we could have imagined. It's a 7 hour drive from our home, we stumbled upon it while visiting friends in TN, and we needed a place to spend a night on our way home, my wife said she would travel 7 hours back to spend a long weekend. It was worth every penny to us. It is a slice of heaven on earth. If you enjoy listening to nature this is the place, we fell asleep hearing the wind gently blow through the trees, awoke to the birds, and had a mix of rain drops overnight. We have traveled as full time RVers for 10 years, and have lived all over the US, we considered buying a 40ft catamaran, and sailing the high seas, however after one night, we know a yurt is something we will own and live in as our children move out and it's just the 2 of us. Thank you Erika!

Floyd Yurt Lodging - an experience

VickiRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay! We were in town for our son’s college graduation. Kathy went above and beyond to make it comfortable. One night, there was a huge storm-that was scary but very cool! The town of Floyd has some great restaurants and stores. You won’t regret staying here.

The Yurt at Homestead

BarinderRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Michael’s Airbnb is amazing. He is always available for communication. The place is very peaceful and quiet, surrounded by beautiful countryside. I requested Michael to decorate the space for my wife’s birthday, and he charged me a fair amount for that. He did a wonderful job decorating, and I was really pleased with how it turned out.

Yurt by the Pines - on 110 acres

ClydeRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This place was amazing for a little weekend getaway. my girlfriend and i came for my birthday weekend and it was so peaceful. we hiked to the pond and fished (didn’t catch anything) but it was still beautiful. not having tv or wifi allowed us to unplug and really appreciate each other and our surroundings. it did storm while we were here but the power never went out. the fire pit was great, we had a little fire and made s’mores. overall it was a very nice, peaceful stay and we would love to come back maybe in the winter when it snows. jamie was so communicative and the listing was accurate to how we found it.

Sycamore Yurt - A Cozy Glamping Experience

RobertRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We had an amazing time! Everything was as advertised. The sound machine was great for blocking out some of the noise when we needed a break. The dogs were not as much of a problem as others had said they were. We only noticed them a handful of times. It was completely private. No one in site when we hung out on the deck and in the hot tub. It was a fun experience staying in a yurt but still having the modern amenities.

Eco Friendly Glamping Yurt in Roan Mountain TN

We enjoyed our stay in the Yurt. The bed was good, with plenty of blankets for a chilly night. You need to go outside the Yurt to get to the bathroom, but it is close, on the platform, and private.

Unique Yurt in the Mountains!

JohnRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This retreat is even better than the description and photos. It is extremely private, surrounded by the woods and rolling hills of Floyd county--exactly what we were hoping for! The yurt was beyond our expectations, or even hopes. It's furnished with everything you need for a stay of a weekend or more, and somehow there's still a ton of space. We wanted for literally nothing. We visited the creek twice, and Gabe (our Pyrenees) loved playing in the water and running around the shore. The yurt is very dog friendly, and Gabe loved the duck jerky Jessica had left for us. The weather was a _little_ uncooperative, so we didn't get to enjoy the deck or firepit like we'd hoped in the evening, but the accommodations were so outstanding we barely noticed. I can't recommend high enough--my only reluctance is that more people might discover this gem and we aren't able to find open dates on the calendar to book it again soon!

Beech Camp #2 @ SaltCreek Retreats

AdamRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Rhonda is always incredibly helpful and welcoming. We absolutely love her three dogs, and the property is a breath of fresh air—roosters crowing, chickens wandering, frogs singing, and a stunning view of the stars at night. There’s always plenty of firewood available, too. 10/10, highly recommend!

Yurts on Potts Creek

AlexanderRating, 5 stars1 day ago
If you are seeing this, just book it! This place is amazing!!! The pictures are great but don't even do it justice. The yurt is truly a work of art yet the whole atmosphere is so comfortable, cozy and tranquil. The amenities listed are enough that you really don't even need to leave the location. But if you do, there is a unique restaurant/general store/mill near by that is so beautiful. They do a have stocked pond and fish food that you can buy to feed the fish! As well as another general store, a grocery store and bakery about 20 mins away. The general store has amazing coffee! There are a few trails near by as well and just driving in the mountains in and of itself is a unique experience. I can't recommend this yurt enough and will definitely be coming back to WV just for it! It should be added to the list of WV landmarks.

The Rustic Ravines is a special, unique place to get away. The restaurant on site is within walking distance of where we stayed. Joe and his employees were super friendly, accommodating, and helpful to our needs. I am excited to go back when we come back that way.

The Yurt

CoreyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Erin’s farm was simply delightful, and to have farm animals nearby, and cows on the actual farm property was an extra highlight. Cows were literally down the hill, so, you could hear them moo and watch their every movements. The scenery was lush and green, the back drop was the hills of eastern Tennessee .Could not have asked for a better day with the weather just right. The yurt was very clean and well stocked. The furnishings were very comfortable and felt like what a yurt would feel like. I have always wanted to go inside a Mongolian or nomadic like yurt. This was pretty cool! I had spent sometime to find my mother a cabin like property, and to say the least, this property did not disappoint, and offered great views just as or even better than being in the mountains inside a cabin. Thank you Erin, and to her generational farming family! For the hospitality, ability to be flexible, well kept land, and friendliness.
