Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Old Town, Alexandria

Had a wonderful stay at Vat’s place. She was very responsive and the location of the house was great! I accidentally left my watch and she graciously mailed it back to me the next day. She’s an excellent host.

All decorated for Christmas, you made our holiday stay so special. Decor was beautiful yet comfy with plenty of seating for everyone (7). Loved the bathrobes for everyone, even for various sizes of children! Such fun! The bathrooms were updated and lovely. The kitchen was well-supplied. The cookies left out were amazing. Plenty of cozy throws for coziness. The location was great, too. So walkable to King Street, parks, the wharf, and grocery stores ( Trader Joe’s and Harris Teeter). This was one of our favorite places to stay!

Great location! Lots of stairs, so mindful of that if you have any seniors in your group. The beds were comfortable and clean. Walkable to a lot of shops and restaurants!

Lauren was very nice and quick to respond to any questions I had. The room was clean and bright, I felt right at home. The neighborhood was super cute and I felt safe when returning later at night. Parking was available right out front for no additional fee. Would recommend to friends and if needed would rebook in the future.

We had a great time and relaxed on the patio. Everything was beautiful and wonderful kitchen. Perfect location. Amy was always available to answer questions and very helpful.

Our group of four enjoyed our weeklong stay. Quick and inexpensive ride share to DC. If you don’t mind a 15 minute walk, free dash bus and trolley up king street to the Metro stop also offers a quick and easy ride into the city. Plenty of restaurants as well as grocery, 7/11 and CVS all within a couple of blocks. Hosts were very responsive to our questions. Would stay again.

Omar’s place was awesome and well maintained. We, group of 7 enjoyed staying there.. There were few things broken in the home which we communicated to Omar and he was pretty responsive. Great thing about Omar is there was faucet leak which we discovered late night after returning to home and we connected with Omar. It was very late but he still picked the phone and helped to fix the issue.. If you are planning to stay close to DC and quite place, this is the best location.. Highly recommend to stay… We will surely like to revisit here .. Thanks..

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Icehouse in Alexandria. Susan was a generous hostess, supplying us with everything from wine and snacks to multiple umbrellas that came in handy one rainy afternoon. We enjoyed the wonderful decor, beds, grill and record player with a great selection of old time favorites. We also enjoyed Alexandria. We ate grear, shopped at fun consignment stores and went to the farmers market. We also hopped on the metro to spend some time in DC. Susan has a helpful book of tips for your time in Alexandria. We will definitely be back!

Anne is very thorough when checking on a guest. She wants people to feel comfortable and makes sure they understand how to operate the appliances in the home. She has a garden and doesn't mind sharing the fresh herbs and berries in them. Initially, I was bummed about the strict check-out time (out by 8:00 am), but due to a delay in the cleaning service's ability to arrive to clean the place, I was able to check out at 11:00 am. She was responsive to questions or concerns I had. Her home is immaculate! She explained the cleaning/sterilization process, so this is a great place to stay for people who suffer from allergies. The neighborhood is quiet, and you are within walking distance of a few restaurants, a grocery store, and some shops.

They were such a great stay! We had to leave early and were very understanding, we would stay with them again!

We absolutely loved our stay. It’s just across the street from the King St Metro stop and 20 minutes into DC from there. The home was perfectly furnished. The beds were very comfortable and having on-site laundry was phenomenal. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If we return to DC we would definitely stay here again

Stayed at Erin’s place for a night and wish it was longer! The room is steps away from the restaurant I met with my friends at. It is situated near all that Del Ray and the rest of Alexandria has to offer. In addition, the bed was quite comfortable and the suite itself is quite luxurious.

This was a gem of a stay in a great location. Close to shops and restaurants but felt secluded and serene. Easy for those needing to commute to DC. Felt like a home away from home.

Very comfortable and had everything we needed and more! Nice to have the bed area to nap or watch TV and a separate area by the sauna to nap or read.

Such a great stay and very convenient location! Directly around the corner from the Metro. Perfect for an overnight stay in the city. Very detailed instructions to make check-in/put a breeze. Will happily stay here again!

I needed a place with easy access to Congress and this was ideal, the parking permit enable me to park very close to it, or walk to it. Felt the neighborhood was safe. Was in the heart of DC so no highway traffic to contend. The place was clean and pleasant, good AC for DC’s hot and humid weather.

My daughter will be having a baby soon and have been looking for a place close by for when I visit. This is it!!! It is affordable, clean and decorated beautifully. So relaxing, usually I can't sleep well in hotels but slept well here.

This might honestly be the best Airbnb experience we have ever had. Celia was a wonderful host, very proactive and made us feel right at home. We were in town for my birthday and we were welcomed with a sweet birthday treat and a card, some delicious granola, and there was chocolate on the bed! There were also some snacks including fresh fruit and granola bars as well as coffee and tea available. The location is perfect for walking around the Capitol Hill area and literally a few minutes walk away from the metro. It’s also walking distance to the Nationals stadium. I truly have no complaints about this stay, I would absolutely come again. Plus there was a sweet neighborhood cat that greeted us! Book this place!! You will not regret it.

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful condo. Pristinely clean and spacious with everything we needed to be comfortable. We loved the modern decor and appreciated the extra thoughtful amenities. A wonderful place to return to after a long day of walking in DC. Great apartment! Sean’s apartment is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. It is completely quiet at night and the bed is good. There is a good vibe in the neighbourhood and the apartment is less than five minutes from a Green Line metro station that will take you directly to the best art museums in the city. Sean and his co-hosts are very helpful and responsive. I hope to come back to Washington one day and if that happens, I will definitely try to book Sean’s apartment again. My husband and I came for the Nationals vs Cubs series and the location couldn’t have been better! The house was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. Israel was incredibly responsive and helpful, always quick to answer any questions and made check in and check out smooth and hassle free! You can really tell he cares about his guests’ experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and conveniently located stay!
