Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Orchidlands Estates

Home just as pictured and described. A/C was such a relief with the tropical climate. Everything was very clean and welcoming. The master bedroom restroom had a very cool imitation of volcanic rock for the floor. Only *minor* issue would be the entrance to the driveway is a little on the steep side. we bottomed out our car on 2 occasions but as long as you take a really sharp approach angle when leaving, you'll be perfectly fine; or an suv/truck would have no issues at all. Overall, great stay and worth every dollar!

The house was completely clean, organized and with a reception of flowers and delicious pineapple. The house is very comfortable, and cozy. Having a juicer for green juice was amazing, as well as a great blender. We highly recommend it!!

Love the location to go be down by the water all day. Really relaxing jungle treehouse.

Lucky to grab this location for a few days. Accommodations were great for three parties of folks. Especially great one couple could bring their dog. Unfortunately, we missed the volcano eruptions, which started the day we checked out for home. They seemed to have everything you might need and super cozy, including the reclining couch sections were comfortable enough to sleep in!!

Great location and available amenities for our party of 6. We would definitely stay at Julie’s place again whenever we are near Hilo.

We’ve been on the Big Island for about a month, staying at different Airbnbs, and we truly wish we had spent the entire time here. This place is by far the most peaceful, beautiful, and grounding spot we’ve experienced. It’s simple in the best way—functional, uncluttered, and thoughtfully put together. The surrounding wildlife, lush trees, and serene privacy make it feel like a true escape, yet you’re still just minutes away from great coffee shops and town. It’s the perfect balance of nature and convenience. We’re already dreaming of coming back.

Great place to stay south of Hilo. Clean, well equipped kitchen, and responsive host. The area is peaceful and quiet. We really enjoyed our week stay here.

Second time staying at this property and it’s a lovely experience and lovely area off the beaten path. Very quiet and clean. I’m appreciative of the hospitality that both Sharon and Stephen showed me. Will be going back for a 3rd time in the future.

We recently stayed at a delightful Airbnb in Pahoa, Hawaii, and it was an absolute dream! The house was exactly as described – truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality by our hosts. They even gave us a lovely tour of their lush gardens, which was a delightful surprise.The home itself was equipped with everything we could possibly need. We had an abundance of towels, linens, and cooking supplies, making our stay comfortable and convenient. Staying here truly enhanced our Hawaiian vacation, and we couldn't be more grateful for the experience. Highly recommend this charming place to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay in Pahoa!

Three women stayed, but I was able to cook for myself and enjoy it. I was thrilled to see the Mauna Kea mountain from the window. There is a large dog, but the landlord lets it in and out of the house, so there was no problem.

Ryan’s place is beautiful!! Near downtown Hilo and not too far from Volcano National Park either. The space is clean, comfy, and homey - everything you could need. Would strongly recommend to other travelers to the Big Island.

We live in Hilo and have always been interested in staying here due to it being so cute from the outside. Little did we know that it’d be such a magical treasure on the inside! There are multiple fruit trees and water features. The garden is well cared for and such a great space to relax in. You are located in the heart of Hilo and can walk to a variety of restaurants, shops, grocery stores and the market. The bed is comfortable and the little kitchen and bathroom are lovely. Definitely recommend!

The host is great! Almost like staying with an old friend! Beautiful place! the bed was great! the outdoor shower was even better!

Truly an oasis! Dana and Gregory are wonderful hosts and Rivendell was one of our favorite Air BnB stays. The apartment was spotless and well-stocked, the bed was so comfortable, and the hot tub was very well-maintained and heated quickly. Now for the best part! The landscaped property and waterfall made for peaceful mornings and restful evenings. We wished we were staying longer. Mahalo for the perfect weekend stay! We will be back!

Great place to stay. I loved listening to the chorus of frogs at night (bring earbuds if you need silence to sleep!). If you're shy or considering this for a trip with friends, note that there are no actual lockable doors between the shower/bathroom and anyone else - just curtains and well-managed angles. I was a little surprised by the free-roaming cats (since the Airbnb is otherwise quite nature-friendly), but enjoyed spending time with the more friendly cat who would stop by my unit. This was a great home base for visiting HVNP.

Holly's place was exactly as described. The photos do not do it justice. Sitting on the patio at night in the hot tub or next to the beautiful firepit was extremely relaxing looking out to the tropical forest listening to the coquis exceeded all expectations. I also picked up several fantastic ideas for our upcoming home in the same area. Their home was beautiful and extremely well built and planned.

Lovely cabin in a magical, lush Hawaii farm. I loved the sound of the birds and insects and the relative privacy I felt in my cabin tucked in the back of the farm surrounded by trees. The shared bathroom was well kept and the water was always warm.

A beautiful, peaceful, and serene spot just minutes away from the hot springs. The accommodations were as described and the host was excellent. If you are looking for a retreat from the noise of the world, this is your spot. Will definitely stay here again when I return to Pahoa...

Great place to stay out in the Rainforest. Dawn is very responsive and a great host. Definitely recommend for those looking to stay out in the forest instead of in town. Definitely a remote spot, great set up.

The best sleep we’ve had away from home. The sounds of the natural habitat at night were incredible. The beach is all lava rock; something new for us and fun to explore. A local farmers market was just down the street. There are a lot of little geckos, frogs, chickens and roosters. This stay was rural and relaxing.

Wow, we loved our stay & the place is even better in person. So relaxing & I could stay here forever. I appreciate an air b&b that provides coffee & creamer: my favorite moments were sitting outside under the string lights/patio listening to the rain, journaling, & drinking my morning coffee. The house is in the best location to visit the National Park & we even got to see the volcano erupt (yay!) Other reviews mentioned a dog which made me nervous but this was never an issue. Thanks for the best stay, we would definitely book again!

We are so happy we discovered this hidden gem and will definitely be returning! It was the most incredible place we have stayed on the big islands: a perfect mixture between luxurious and natural! The pool front bungalows are pristine, comfortable and clean and are on an amazing pool deck which is like a huge tree house built in and around a vast forest of endemic Ohia trees! The pool deck features a pool, hot tub, rain showers, clean bathrooms, shared kitchen and a lounge area with many tranquil areas to relax and enjoy the forest. Drinking my morning tea in the hot tub, I saw several native birds flying among the Ohia trees! I highly recommend this place for people of all ages! My children loved it and enjoyed the freedom of not having to wear swim suits! Hosts were responsive and flexible and very accommodating!
