We (Christine and Heinz) have fulfilled a dream here near the Rax and built a minimalist and - as we find - very cozy house for our retirement. The Troadkasten is an old grain store, a traditionally built Hozhaus, which we have lovingly transformed into a cozy chalet. The cottage is located directly on our organic mountain farm at 1100 m above sea level and can accommodate up to 6 people. A retreat for a quiet break or starting point for hikes and excursions in the Almenland Nature Park in Styria. Dogs are welcome, chickens, cats and farm dog Luna roam freely around the yard.

This 100 year old wooden house is surrounded on 3 sides by forest and offers a wonderful view of the Rax. The south-facing, sunny view extends from the Rax to the Preiner Gschaid. The house has a heating with two Swedish stoves, which are able to heat the entire house.
