A nice simple place to stay. All as described. The view from the balcony is wonderful. The beach is 5 min away and usually very empty. Perfect for snorkeling. The bakery across the street is perfect and sells very delicious cakes. The Oasis restaurant can also be reached in 1min. There's great local food. If you don't need a lot of luxury on holiday and are just looking for a very nice place, this is the place to be. I can only recommend it! Many thanks also to the hostess. She always responded quickly and gave many tips.

Will keep coming back! Always friendly and helpful and Maria’s rooms are in the best location in Plakias between the main part of town and the quieter end of the beach. Attention to details sets this place apart, we always feel at home.

We loved enjoying the back terrace with the dogs (especially the little old one) and having our lunch in their company. In the evening, the cats joined us for an aperitif in the courtyard. Very relaxing. We weren't sure if we could explore the surrounding area.

This is a beautiful, and very peaceful cottage with super-fast WiFi, a large bathroom with heaps of hot water, an excellent desk and a very comfortable bed. No-one could have been more friendly and helpful and full of information, arrival was easy and I found that Nikki (Electra’s mother) had left the perfect staples to start me off when I hadn’t had time to go shopping. The village in which the cottage is is also friendly, with vans selling excellent cheese and bread etc. The three next door villages all have very charming tavernas, and as a woman alone I always felt safe and welcomed. I enjoyed walking up onto Mt Psiloritis/Ida, and exploring all the small villages and churches nearby, as well as having a peaceful time working.

Nektarios’ place was perfect. He is a great host - communicative, promptly responding at all times to questions. Flexible check in (arrived very late). Stayed in ‘Zeus’ room - spotlessly clean, very spacious, and what a view! Highly recommend.

We had a very nice stay at Manolis house and a good communication before we arrived. Manolis and his wife are very kind and easy to communicate with, speaks mainly german but also som english. It is a nice silent spot in rural surroundings but with a short drive to the beach and nearby towns for shopping. The Minoic palace Festos is visible from the garden.

it was perfect. the place is comfy. the place got aot of space. the bathroom is very good with hot water. Panos is very kind and answer very fast. if I had to come back in Zaros I will choose it again. and again!

If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and comfortable place to stay while vacationing in Crete, this is your place. The house is a blend of modern amenities with traditional architecture. Outside you are surrounded by the most beautiful and tranquil garden to recharge the mind, body and soul. Flowers and fruit trees galore. The house itself would be an enjoyable vacation but if you want to explore Crete and leave the property, transportation to the city and beach is quick and accessible. Or you can explore the village of Archanes by foot and enjoy great restaurants, cafes, markets and bakeries while greeted by friendly locals. Maria is the icing on the cake. She’s one of the most caring and beautiful people you’ll ever meet. She goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable from the moment she greets you. She proudly gives you a history of Crete, recommendations, always smiling and answering any questions. I can’t wait to return next year!

Exceptional hosts, Matina and George! They were very helpful and welcoming! The apartment is furnished and equipped with taste and passion! Everything sparkles with cleanliness! It is surrounded by a beautiful garden, where we enjoyed our evening drink. We'll definitely visit it again.

Eva and Peter are by far the loveliest Airbnb hosts, with the best Airbnb place I have ever encountered. My best friend and I had an amazing time in this gorgeous place, and even the one thing we were a bit scared of - the road to walk to lentas - turned out to be an incredible adventure: walking for a few minutes throughout the hills of the east of Crete, with the moon and the wind accompanying you! flowers everywhere, and a lovely view of the ocean throughout. honestly go there!!

Very nice, lovingly furnished accommodation. The kids loved the cats. Martina had also left us toys. There are great beaches and restaurants nearby. Martina and Nico are great hosts.

This was seriously the most welcoming experience we've had on Airbnb. End to end perfect. A warm host that was always available when needed, a house equipped with everything you can ever need during a short trip plus a few beers and local produce for free to get you started, an amazing shared swimming pool, quietness, a house that keeps cool even during 40 degree summer days, a great location near the beach by car. We truly recommend this place and would surely visit again.

If you found this, don’t look any further! If you like real quiet, real starry skies, real individuality that’s your place.you are close to Lentas, which is a small but charmingly touristy place, and on the other side to the perfect Tripitis beach, which you will discover after climbing down an oleander filled gorge. Both in walking distance of beautiful 3km or per car. The rooms are modern and functional, with shared kitchen and bathrooms, Eva is the very nice and communicative singer/host who might teach you how to write a song about your experiences ;) I even canceled another booking after I found this jewel, go and grab it!

We are very happy with the service and amenities Mr. Strataras offered us, I would be happy to stay again, I highly recommend it!!!
