Holiday rentals with lake access in Rethymno

Our stay at Stavros's place was just fantastic. He was a great host – very friendly, helpful and always available when we had questions. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very cozy. We felt completely comfortable right from the beginning. The location was ideal, and the apartment was equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely come back again and highly recommend staying with Stavros! Thank you for the great hospitality!

The vacation home is very functionally furnished and nothing is missing, except maybe a large bowl and a large coffee cup ;-) The mattresses of the bed were pleasantly firm and we slept wonderfully. Throughout the house there are fly screens, so you can leave the windows open at night and no mosquitoes and insects come in. The location of the house is approx. 5 minutes by car from a wonderfully spacious beach. It is also ideally located as a starting point for hikes in the mountains. Only the busy road right in front of the terrace bothered us a little. Elena is a very attentive and friendly host who responds immediately to messages. She spoiled us with a homemade dessert and a farewell gift. Thanks again for that! If we come back to Crete, I would definitely stay there again.

very beautiful place, very comfortable, quiet and relaxing, ideal for a family or anyone who wants to escape from the city. Stunning view from the terrace of the surrounding olive hills. Manthos was very friendly and generous, always at our disposal.

Perfect place to stay in Zaros. The accommodation is very clean, well equipped. The bedding is of excellent quality. Maria is adorable. We recommend!

Outstanding villa and extremely friendly host! The villas is exactly as it is on the pictures. It’s further in a very quite neighborhood and allows you to relax with a view on the mountains. We had everything we need and even more! There were things usually not available in such accommodations. Great stay!!! Michallis was further very kind and easy in communication and gave helpful advises!!! There are some taverns in 5-10 minutes by car. Shops, supermarkets etc are around 15 minutes by car (there are some small shops in the neighborhood as well). The beach is around 30 minutes by car. Tipp for future guests: Go for breakfast and even better for dinner to Vegera in Zaros!!! It’s a must!!! Vivi (owner and chef 👩‍🍳) cooks Cretan food and it is extremely delicious!

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely flat. Everything we needed was there. You can easily cook yourself or walk to a lovely tavern just down the street. Odisseas was very helpful and easy to contact. Whenever we needed something he helped out in minutes. The beach is also in walking distance. All in all we could recommend this flat!

We had a great time in Avignon. The place was clean with a great view and direct access to a small private beach. The only downside is the noises of cars at night. The accommodation is very well located, 5 min drive from the city. Our host was very helpful, was good advice, and didn't hesitate to check in with us throughout our stay. Lovely airconditioned apartment at a great location. The apartment has everything you need for your vacation (including an ironing board, dishwasher, etc.). It is located on the third floor and can be reached with an elevator. The beach and some great restaurants are just around the corner (5 minute walk). You can walk to the city center in 15 minutes. In the street there are several super markets and bakeries. Hans is a great and responsive host. He proactively gave good advice for nearby restaurants, beaches, etc.

The check-in instructions were very clear. We only stayed for one night and the apartment was very pleasant. We felt comfortable and everything was fresh.

Very nice apartment. Actually better than expected from the pictures in the listing. Very nice to be able to close the bedrooms. Absolutely perfect for a family of five.

10/10 would recommend! Everything was according to the description and worth the price. Our apartament was clean and spacious, very well equipped for daily use. Odisseas & Evita were available and very helpful while sharing their recommendations. The town is small and rather quiet in April but the views and surroundings were most beautiful.

We (a Greek young couple with a 4 years old child) stayed at Nikola's place for 7 days in the middle of August. Our stay and host exceeded all our expectations! The place was in a cliff and it had an uninterrupted view over the beautiful lake of Kournas. The house was just built and had more than what we could have asked for. Big living room with very comfortable sofa, tv and aircon, big kitchen with EVERYTHING one can ask (including a fridge filled in with fresh fruit, sodas, bottled water), two nice bedrooms (one with a double bed, and the other one with two single beds) and plenty of storage rooms and aircons, and a spacious toilet which also had a washing machine. Nikolas and his mother were so helpful and provided us with all info needed for our stay. Nikolas also took an extra step and made a gift to our daughter of some brand new Barbies the moment we stepped in the house, something that our daughter loved and it was certainly not expected and gift was well received. If I would travel back to Krete, I would definitely choose Nikola's place! Panos

We had a great time staying in Stella's house. Everything was excellent, we had no shortage of anything. And what a wonderful bed! We stayed in a hot period in August. Temperatures reached 34 degrees. Besides making daily trips we stayed quite some time in the house with refreshing airco's. In the house you could not hear anything from the close by road. With our morning coffees outside it could be quiet noisy. Overall we are ***** star satisfied. Stella is a great host.

We had a very nice week staying in Nicols place. In the beginning we had little difficulties finding the place due to an technical error, but Nicol responded really fast and gave us helped us very quickly. The communication in generell was very friendly and fast. The place itself also was very clean, had all the essentials needed and provided a lovely view of the surrounding valley. Would definitely recommend this place:)

Beautiful little quiet house, well located for visiting Chania , Kourna , Rethymnon , Chora Skafia and surroundings. A great welcome rarely seen , clear and succinct explanations in English: everything was perfect . The family is really made up of great people who love their beautiful country. Very nice little gifts: delicious wine + oil (helas too heavy to take it back...). The house is super well-equipped: there is absolutely nothing missing and everything works well: even the wifi! The house is super clean , possibility to make your laundry , hot water at all times and small electric heater in case of heavy cold but also hammocks for relaxing. Easy parking just in front of the small house in the enclosure . Large lot fenced by a small, convenient wall that prevented our little dog from escaping. On foot, Lake Kournas (5 minutes) and the beach (30 minutes) and the center of Gorgiopoulis ( 25 minutes) are not far away. In short, a little paradise, we would have liked to stay longer but the return flights the following week to Belgium were really too expensive: too bad!

We had a great time in the property of Nikos. The conversation was always fast and easy. All of our questions has been answered. The apartment is huge for 4 people and the view is insane. We had the bigger pool area which is more expensive but worth it. The privacy, the pool etc. was really beautiful and for us a perfect start into our vacation and also something different than staying at the beach as most of the tourists do. Nikos allowed us to stay longer which was so kind from him, we met his lovely mother as well. So we really felt very welcome. Also there were some nice welcoming details like cold drinks. Everything was really new and clean. We highly recommend to stay here!

Kostas picked me up from the airport because my flight was delayed and therefore I didn't get a rental car. He was very courteous and friendly.

It's a beautiful place, feel free to go! Nikos is a superhost, he is very responsive to help in everything, an amazing kindness, you can count on him for everything. His villa is a haven of peace and the view of the lake is just amazing, it's even better than in the photos. There is the private pool which is really great, 5 minutes from Lake Kournas, a tavern just opposite, supermarket not far... I would be happy to come back, especially since Nikos made sure we had everything we needed it, it was a little attention. It's not 5 stars, but 10!

We had a fabulous time! House just a few metres from the sea (2 minutes by car), with a private pool and a wonderful view. It feels really good and everything is so private so you can have a pleasant holiday. Maria was always helpful and kind and ready to meet our every need and always thoughtful about all the details so that we could have a pleasant holiday. Flexible and easy check-in and check-out. You will return, that's for sure.
